From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

The two sisters went to the repair shop together, planning to improve the mecha’s deficiencies, ”During today’s piloting, I found that the mecha’s power engine lacked the punch needed in comparison to the overall configuration of the body, which was a bit abrupt and affected the performance...”

Liu Dongyi took the mecha out from the Mecha Space Hub and saw the shop owner’s slightly troubled expression. She shared her piloting experience from today and pointed to her younger sister, ”Lanyue’s mecha seems to have the same issue...”

The two sisters became acquainted with the shop owner by a fortunate chance, and most of their current mechas were made by the shop. The owner, as a designer and builder, knew the mechas inside out.

Hearing Liu Dongyi’s words, the shop owner, Faslo, took out a bunch of testing equipment to thoroughly test the mecha from inside out, with the engine being the focus. After reviewing the test data, he nodded and said, ”It was my oversight; the engine’s level is a bit low and doesn’t match well with the mecha’s overall data, so it’s normal to have such issues.”

”Is there a repair and improvement plan?” Liu Lanyue looked reluctantly at her recently unveiled vehicle. Although her mecha was the same model as Liu Dongyi’s, its approach was different, ”I really like this big guy.”

”No problem, it’s just an engine issue. As long as you replace it with an engine that has minimal data deviation, the problem can be solved.” Faslo adjusted his glasses and stared at the data without blinking, ”But to be safe, I think we should test for a few days first.”

After all, it’s a newly designed mecha, and everything is unknown. At this point, a lot of calculated data is needed. With data, there’s a possibility to perfect the mecha. Faslo’s words were reasonable, so naturally, there was no need to object.

”It will probably take a few days. Hopefully, this won’t affect your competition.” After all, it’s a familiar vehicle and handles well. If you switched to a new mecha, it would take quite some time to adapt, ”If there are special requests, please let me know early, and I’ll do my best to arrange it without delaying your schedule and plans.”

”We won’t be participating in competitions for a while, so there’s no rush on the mecha; you can go ahead with the repairs.”

Faslo seemed to remember something and said to Liu Dongyi, ”I remember you often join the mixed combat in the Mecha Fighting Arena, right? Coincidentally, my younger sister has a matter she commissioned me to complete. If you’re convenient, could you help out?”

Faslo’s younger sister, of course, was Lucy, and her commission was straightforward. She wanted to use her brother’s connections to find a competent mixed combat team to assist Su Jiameng. It’s important to know that there wasn’t much time left for the mixed combat competition Su Jiameng agreed to.

After all, it was a little sister’s command, how could Faslo, as a brother, not comply?

He agreed wholeheartedly and went through people in his mind, finally settling on the Liu Family Sisters. The Liu Family Sisters were members of the Iron Lion Team, all from the Xilena First Affiliated School, with quite a reputation in mixed combat!

The Liu Family Sisters were the core members of the Iron Lion Team. If they agreed to help, it should not be a problem. At that time, Faslo still didn’t know that Su Jiameng’s opposing team was composed of students from Augustus.

Augustus Academy and Xilena Academy were on par, and the Xilena First Affiliated School was just one of Xilena’s three affiliated schools. If the Iron Lion Team were to go against Augustus’ team, it would be like a bunch of college graduates messing with high school students...

Of course, Faslo couldn’t have imagined that the opponents’ background would be so strong. If he had known, he would have definitely looked for another team, at least one on the same level as Augustus’ team.

Liu Dongyi thought for a moment and slowly said, ”I need to discuss this with your sister in person. If it’s no big deal, helping out is fine, and I’ll try to convince the other team members. After all, the Iron Lion Team isn’t just owned by us sisters; the feelings of other members must be considered... I hope you understand.”

”No problem.” Faslo handed over his sister’s contact information to Liu Dongyi, and then gave Liu Dongyi’s contact to his sister, ”Lulu has classes this morning, so she’ll probably be available this afternoon.”

”That’s fine, as long as it’s in the afternoon.” Liu Lanyue chimed in, ”But my sister has classes in the afternoon, so she might not have the time.”

Thus, the matter was left to Liu Lanyue and Lucy to discuss... no, more accurately, with Su Jiameng.

Su Jiameng received Lucy’s offline message not long after logging off, and was silent for a long time. She didn’t expect her little partner to remember all these bits of time so clearly and secretly help her solve them... Although she wanted to say she’d already started contacting supporting actors, seeing Lucy working so hard to help, she couldn’t disappoint her good intentions and agreed.

At the appointed time in the afternoon, Su Jiameng entered the virtual network five minutes early, entered the coordinates Lucy gave her, and realized that the person sitting at the agreed spot was somewhat familiar... Uh, isn’t this the woman from this morning?

How could she be here? Could it be that the team Lucy found to help her was the Iron Lion Team?

Thinking about this possibility, Su Jiameng suddenly felt a sense of shooting herself in the foot as if she had just dissed the Iron Lion Team in the morning, and now instant karma has arrived?
