Chapter 269: Chapter 134: Boy, Stay Calm Even in Your Dreams

After returning, Gu Ningxuan went online to investigate the ”super impressive at getting others into trouble” forum leader that Su Jiameng mentioned, along with the post that was supposedly very popular. To his amusement, Gu Xiaosan easily stumbled upon the post Xiao Meng had spoken of, amidst topics discussing #Oh crap, Xilena First Affiliated School was attacked#.

Gu Ningxuan couldn’t help but look around, feeling a bit guilty, afraid that Su Jiameng might notice his actions. But then he remembered he was in his own room, and she probably wouldn’t go so crazy as to install a micro surveillance camera to monitor him, which made him chuckle at his own overthinking.

With that thought, Gu Ningxuan opened the post on the forum and was immediately left speechless by someone’s bold statements.

How did he not realize that Miss Su was such an assertive and bold person inside? Uh, maybe that’s just who she is, and he never noticed. Thinking of Su Jiameng’s various drunken antics at today’s celebration, Gu Xiaosan shook his head helplessly.

After reading all of Su Jiameng’s posts, he focused on the most popular challenge post. He knew that everyone who replied to the post was a challenger, so he simply clicked ”view only the original poster’s comments”, allowing him to see the original poster’s thread comments as well.

Compared to the astonishingly high number of replies on the challenge post, Su Jiameng’s comments were quite few, and Gu Ningxuan finished reading them in about ten minutes.

So far, what caught his attention was the competition between Su Jiameng and Zhang Yiqi. Who is Zhang Yiqi? Gu Ningxuan has heard of him, a very promising junior, supposedly a genius level junior who had been booked by the Expedition Army a long time ago.

Although Zhang Yiqi is only a fifth grader, he is diligent and motivated... Gu Ningxuan had occasionally heard that several of his female classmates seemed to have a crush on him, thinking about having a ”sibling romance.” However, at some point, there was a vague rumor going around the school that he was gay, with questionable sexual orientation... Embarrassingly, Zhang Yiqi’s junior’s popularity has not decreased but increased...

It’s said that there is an outrageously secretive literary forum at Xilena Academy, where discussions revolve around various male pairings within YY Academy... yes, the CPs are all male! Gu Ningxuan heard that this bizarre forum has existed for many, many years, with an age comparable to that of Xilena Academy itself... Unfortunately, as a male, he cannot enter the forum to uncover the truth.

For a popular and talented junior like Zhang Yiqi to be effortlessly taken down by Miss Su... Gu Ningxuan suddenly wondered, since when did a sixteen-year-old girl have such heaven-defying abilities?

However, since she could do this and that while drunk to bully him, handling a fifth-grade junior shouldn’t be an issue either.

Gu Xiaosan blushed slightly with embarrassment and continued reading. When he saw the usernames Demon Fox and Hongchen’s Gang, his expression hardened. Now he finally understood why Su Jiameng was having headaches over the chaotic wars...

Among the Ten Great Universities of the Human Alliance, whether it’s Xilena or Augustus or the other eight schools, the two largest departments within the schools are always the Mechanical Department and the Command Department. Logically, the relationship between these two departments should be good, but in reality, it isn’t so.

The Mechanical Department... is essentially a group of lone wolves leaning towards the dagger type; their individual mobility in combat is strong, allowing them to change strategies at will, fighting at their own leisure, caring not for life or death, only victory! Meanwhile, the Command Department is more akin to ancient military strategists, responsible for troop movements and formations, a group that enjoys using schemes and plots, yet the ”strategists” of the Command Department also possess combat capabilities...

To put it plainly, the Mechanical Department values brawn over brains, while the Command Department is the exact opposite! With such different minded people coming together, uh... to be honest, it’s impossible for them not to have conflicts. Conflicts lead to disputes... disputes lead to progress, so the schools have never inhibited competition between the two departments, be it healthy or hostile...

But Gu Ningxuan’s father once mentioned that the rigidity of the relationship between the two departments is actually closely related to another reason...

In fact, Gu Ningxuan has always scoffed at this so-called reason. In that bizarre forum, males from the Command Department often get paired with those from the Mechanical Department by those vicious women, and in most cases, they’re the ones at a disadvantage, eternally unable to overturn the situation...

Actually, the Mechanical and Command departments study the same content, but the former tends to focus on actual combat, while the latter leans towards overall command.
