Chapter 152: Chapter 76: Follow-Up Issues of the Dream

Su Jiameng was troubled by this issue for quite some time, and later she took a different approach, starting from other terms. Perhaps the people in this world have a different name for the ability of telekinesis? With this thought in mind, she conducted another investigation.

In the end, she found out, laughing and crying at the same time, that this world does indeed have telekinesis, but no one has discovered its true nature, thinking it is some kind of mental illness, which is the term generally accepted by the people of the future interstellar era—Simoles Deficiency Syndrome!

According to the historical records of Su Jiameng’s second life, telekinesis was originally a unique ability of a powerful cosmic species, which used its existence to elevate themselves above other species. They had a complete system for the use and awakening of telekinesis.

However, as time passed, this species gradually vanished from the stage of the universe due to their extremely low fertility. The total number of members could barely fill a planet and was still declining.

By the time humans transitioned from the Earth Era to the interstellar era, the number of that species had dwindled to a terrifying figure. Other species gradually discovered that telekinesis users could also appear among them, and by utilizing the telekinesis system of that species, they quickly grew.

As for this interstellar future... She rummaged through the records but found nothing regarding that powerful species.

In other words, the organisms in Su Jiameng’s second life could successfully pass down telekinesis because they had mastered the complete system and data, akin to standing on the shoulders of giants to see the world.

But this world wasn’t so fortunate. All foundational knowledge about telekinesis was zero. Trying to develop and derive the complete telekinesis theory system perfected over tens of thousands of years by that powerful species from such a foundation was too difficult.

Having understood these matters, Su Jiameng didn’t know what feelings she should harbor toward this reality.

If one day in the future, the Insect Race indeed makes a comeback, how can the people of this interstellar world resist them? By relying on those weapons? I’m afraid that when those weapons encounter high-level Insect Race, they will understand what it means to lift a rock only to drop it on one’s own foot!

A top-level ten-level telekinesis user can even seize absolute control of a giant cosmic battleship in an instant, while some high-level Insect Race members are naturally able to use telekinesis, and their levels aren’t low. Relying on controlling those weapons to destroy humanity itself is entirely cost-free and risk-free! Su Jiameng, knowing this possibility, was somewhat anxious.

However, it’s still a bit early to worry about these matters. First, Su Jiameng doesn’t know if this world even has the Insect Race, second, she’s unsure if the world’s Insect Race is the same as her previous world’s Insect Race, and third... she’s merely a small civilian with a mysterious identity. Even knowing how terrifying the Insect Race is, no one would believe her if she spoke out. Instead, many might call her insane!

The members of the K3 Team are kind-hearted. Seeing Su Jiameng truly exhausted, they didn’t bother her much, instead, they took care of her considerately everywhere, accommodating her. Su Jiameng noticed these little details and was truly moved.

After the team battle ended, they won yet another game, maintaining their strong winning streak, leaving other teams’ records far behind, shining brightly on the leaderboard in this area.

The members of K3 are still students, without much time to participate in the Mecha Fighting Arena, so after a match, they gathered in the lounge to rest, with no plans to continue competing. Su Jiameng hesitated for a moment, then proactively asked the K3 team, ”Uh... there’s something I want to ask you guys... Do you know of an illness, Simoles Deficiency Syndrome?”

K3 asked her suspiciously, ”Of course we’ve heard of it, but why are you suddenly asking about this, Xiao Meng?”

Simoles Deficiency Syndrome, even though examples of this disease are extremely rare, the ultimate outcome for sufferers leaves everyone terrified. Cancer from the Earth Era, in the future interstellar era, could only be considered a minor illness, cured with a simple hospital visit.

For the organisms of this era, the most terrifying disease isn’t physical injuries or some cancer diseases, and even many so-called unsolvable genetic diseases have been tackled one by one in recent years. Only in the realm of mental illness do people’s heads ache.

Once a patient suffers from a spiritual power illness, mild symptoms are manageable, but if severe... given the current level of technology, most medical personnel can only stand by helplessly, watching with worry.

And Simoles Deficiency Syndrome stands at the pyramid’s pinnacle in this field, somewhat embodying the phrase ”standing at the summit.” Simoles Deficiency Syndrome, just seven characters, carries the weight of a mountain.

However, this disease is so dreadful, yet its incidence rate is extremely low, to the point that it’s almost unbelievably unlucky for someone to contract it. Moreover, it’s a congenital hereditary disease identified before school age. What is Xiao Meng worried about?

K3, brainstorming, suddenly thought of the two children at Xiao Meng’s home, smiling to console her, ”Xiao Meng, don’t think too much about it. Theoretically, everyone could get Simoles Deficiency Syndrome, but the chances are extremely slim. You don’t need to worry if the two children will get this disease. I guess... during your nightmares at night, you won’t dream that your kids have this disease, right?”

If so, it explains Xiao Meng’s concern that the children might be unlucky and keeps having nightmares.

K3 thought he found a reasonable explanation, but little did he know he actually guessed a small part of the dream’s content correctly. (To be continued.
