Chapter 311: Chapter 202 – Accepting a Disciple

Heavenly Eye Peak was having a big day today, Elder Su was taking in an official disciple, his fifth one.

Li Shiming had been called to the Gathering Immortal Pavilion on Heavenly Eye Peak early in the morning, standing outside the door to receive guests.

Standing with him was Xu Chuan.

As for the other two senior brothers and one senior sister, they had all sent back word they would definitely return today, so it was just the two of them, the juniors, standing outside the pavilion receiving guests.

“Junior Master Wu, you have arrived! Master is preparing the Spiritual Tea and waiting for you!” Several figures descended in front of the Gathering Immortal Pavilion, Xu Chuan hurried forward, pulling Li Shiming along with him, both of them greeted the arrivals at the same time, Xu Chuan spoke with a smile.

“Xu Chuan, only you would say such things, that Spiritual Tea is from my place after all!” Elder Wu laughed and gave Xu Chuan a pat, then gave Li Shiming an up and down look, his eyes filled with scrutiny and curiosity.

...
No wonder he was like this, Elder Su was extremely strict in choosing disciples; out of so many Golden Core cultivators, those of Elder Su had always been few.

Many old friends who wanted to send over their juniors had been rejected by Elder Su.

“Senior brothers, this is my junior brother Li Shiming, please look after him!” Xu Chuan was already introducing Li Shiming to the disciples who had come with Elder Wu.

Li Shiming certainly understood this was about networking; those who had been invited were likely very good friends of Elder Su, they naturally formed an alliance within the sect.

Five Golden Core Elders had arrived in succession, which elevated the status of today’s apprenticeship ceremony greatly.

With each Golden Core Elder’s arrival, Xu Chuan conscientiously introduced them to Li Shiming, letting him get to know each of the Golden Core Elders and the Golden Core disciples.

“Uncle Ma!” Just when the time was almost up and Li Shiming thought that no more guests would arrive, Xu Chuan went out to greet another, bowing deeply and calling out with great respect.

Li Shiming saw a cultivator who looked extremely young, but the terrifying Golden Core aura he exuded let Li Shiming understand that this was also a Golden Core Elder.

“Xu Chuan, how did you get so seriously injured!” Uncle Ma glanced over Xu Chuan, throwing out a bottle of Elixir Pills while speaking.

“Thank you, Uncle Ma!” Xu Chuan’s voice was particularly bright; he then cheerfully explained, “I had a big fight with a Four Clawed Flood Dragon Demon in the Ten Thousand Great Mountains!”

“You must have used quite a few of Xiao Su’s life-saving Spiritual Objects, rest well when you get back, make sure to heal up properly!” Uncle Ma waved his hand and chuckled.

He then turned his gaze to Li Shiming; he naturally knew why his good friend Elder Su wanted to take in Li Shiming. Among the most important reasons was that Li Shiming had obtained the Third-grade Spiritual Medicine, the Mu Yang Three-leaf Clover, on behalf of Elder Su.

“Your fire Spiritual Power seems a bit unusual, come learn Alchemy from me when you have time!” Uncle Ma, sensing something, said to Li Shiming with a smile.

“Thank Uncle Ma quickly!” Upon hearing Uncle Ma say this, Xu Chuan, fearing that Uncle Ma might regret the offer, pushed Li Shiming forcefully, urging him.

“Thank you, Uncle Ma!” Li Shiming bowed deeply to show his gratitude.

Yet, his heart was not at peace; the so-called issue with his fire Spiritual Power must be related to the small flame in his body.

It was clear that Uncle Ma had noticed something, but had not elaborated.

Li Shiming resolved to visit Uncle Ma when he had time, learning Alchemy would be ideal, or at least he might understand what the flame within him was from Uncle Ma.

Having such a sentient flame dwelling in the Spirit Lake within him left him unsure whether it was good or bad.

He suspected it was probably not a bad thing, since the flame was under his control, but he would only be at ease once he understood the flame.

Uncle Ma patted Xu Chuan, then turned and entered the Gathering Immortal Pavilion.

Just as Xu Chuan was about to lead Li Shiming inside as well, three Flying Boats arrived.

“It’s our eldest senior sister and the others who have returned!” Xu Chuan waved excitedly.

The three Flying Boats stopped in front of the Gathering Immortal Pavilion, and three figures leaped down from the boats, withdrawing them as they landed.

At the forefront was a great beauty, and by ‘great’ it wasn’t just about her looks; the beauty stood over two meters tall, her physique in proportion to her height.

This made any ordinary male cultivator feel utterly inferior standing before her.

Furthermore, the aura of this great beauty was almost identical to that of a Red Sun Bear—a formidable Golden Core aura, showing Li Shiming she was just one step away from the Golden Core.

A cultivator of such strength was among the strongest in the Foundation Establishment tier of the Cultivation World, known as a Half-step Golden Core.

“I’m your eldest senior sister, Ye Jingxian. You must be Junior Li that master newly took in, right?” Ye Jingxian pushed Xu Chuan aside, stepped up to Li Shiming, and gave him a forceful hug while speaking.

This deep hug made Li Shiming feel embarrassed. Jingxian was so tall that even at one meter ninety, Li Shiming still seemed like a child in front of her.

Paired with Li Shiming’s youthful face, the image made the other three senior brothers unable to watch directly.

“Junior Li, thank you. If it weren’t for you, master would have suffered greatly this time!” Jingxian didn’t laugh; she clapped Li Shiming on the back forcefully while speaking sincerely.

All four of their disciples had been tirelessly searching for any possible clues just to find the Mu Yang Three-leaf Clover, a Third-grade Spiritual Medicine.

But such a high-grade Spiritual Medicine could only be secured if the sect had conditions to transplant it, otherwise it involved contending with powerful cultivators or spirit beasts.

Jingxian, along with the other two senior brothers, had used many favors and spent immense effort without success.

Yet, they received news from their master that the new junior brother had already brought back the Mu Yang Three-leaf Clover and that the master’s injuries were healed.
