My Youth Began With Him

Qin Chu only smiled; it was an unreadable smile.

“What do you think of the view?”

“It’s very pretty.”

“Good. Good night.”

Qin Chu walked out and closed the door.

Huo Mian seemed to be used to his attitude; after all, he had been cold to her all the time.

Qin Chu walked into his study and sent a WeChat message to Su Yu since it wasn’t safe to talk on the phone at home…

Qin Chu: “Hello?”

Su Yu: “Yeah?”

Qin Chu: “I need to tell you something.”

Su Yu: “Shoot.”

Su Yu was now used to Qin Chu’s coolness and concise way of talking.

Qin Chu: “The trip to Japan is cancelled.”

Su Yu: “What do you mean?”

Qin Chu: “Pudding and Little Bean won’t go with you to Japan.”

Su Yu: “Why?”

Qin Chu: ‘Mian said she was afraid you can’t take care of two kids and wanted to go with you. I didn’t agree.”

Su Yu: “…”

Su Yu: “Mian mentioned it to me, but I didn’t agree; it would be scandalous if people knew about it.”

Su Yu still felt apprehended when he remembered the moment when Huo Mian made this ridiculous proposal to him in the ward.

Qin Chu: “Yeah. After some deliberation, I decided Pudding and Little Bean won’t go with you.”

Su Yu: “They must be disappointed. I promised them long ago and even booked air tickets and hotels. It’s a pity.”

Qin Chu: “It’s fine. They’ll have lots of opportunities in the future. I’m sorry.”

Su Yu: “Don’t be sorry. I know you’re in a difficult situation… Mian is being quite odd lately.”

Qin Chu: “Why do you say so?”

Su Yu: “I can’t name it. It’s just a feeling. Okay, I can’t talk to you now. I’m going out to grab a bite.”

Since Su Yu didn’t continue the topic, Qin Chu stopped talking about it.

Su Yu said he’d go out for a bite; in fact, he just went out to have a wild party with a group of second-generation rich guys.

He had been moody lately, especially after Xixi gave birth to a daughter and Rick became a father.

Several of his good friends, including Wei Liao, Xiaowei, Tang Chuan, and Qin Ning, were talking about it in Moments.

Whenever someone mentioned children or that someone gave birth to a baby, Su Yu would be struck by a sense of guilt; the image of the explosion in Yunnan would keep flashing across his mind. He’d remember that Mian had lost her baby, which gave him an unspeakable frustration.

He knew Huo Mian and Xixi were supposed to give birth to her baby almost at the same time. Now Rick had a daughter, but the relationship between Qin Chu and Huo Mian was extremely tense… He thought it was his fault even though he knew no one blamed him.

Still, he blamed himself…

Being single for years, Su Yu had no one for company except for An.

After work, if he had no plans, he’d feel bored and lonely.

So, he returned to his playboy lifestyle…

In contrast, Tang Chuan had become a model young man after marrying Qin Ning.

With no real friends to spend time with him in the nightclubs, Su Yu had begun drinking with the rich guys to relieve his boredom.

An understood his employer’s mind and waited for him outside the compartment.

The rich guys loved to play with young models, so the nightclub manager brought a group of young models into the compartment.

These guys didn’t dare to pick girls before Su Yu did.

“Mr. Su, you pick first…”

To show their respect for Su Yu, they asked him to pick a girl first.

Su Yu lounged on the sofa and glanced at the girls with narrowed eyes…
