My Youth Began With Him

“You can choose to watch TV or have a midnight snack.”

Then, Su Yu turned around and walked up.

His bleak actions left the pretty girl astonished. She stood there in the living room, not understanding what was happening..

She was taken home by a super-rich guy in the middle of the night. She thought it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for her to get rich but…

“Miss, you better not go out there and spread rumours after taking your money. Our boss’s temper isn’t that great…”

An understood Su Yu: Su Yu did not want anything to actually happen in between him and this girl. He might have wanted to numb himself a bit.

The girl had been going to clubs long enough to know what was happening. She immediately put the cash into her extravagant Chanel bag.

She even nosily added, “I understand. President Su got into a fight with his girlfriend so he wants to make his girlfriend jealous, right? He doesn’t actually want to betray her. Just out of curiosity, who’s this lucky girl to have a great boyfriend like President Su? If I were her, I wouldn’t have the heart to argue with him. I’ll pamper him every day.”

“You talk too much. You should stay silent for two hours and then leave.”

An didn’t bother to talk to this girl. Instead, he went to the kitchen to boil some water so he could make tea for Su Yu to sober up.

Two hours later, the girl left in the car that was organized for her. Of course, outsiders would think this girl and Su Yu had sex.

What they knew was that she came home with Su Yu at 1AM and left after 3AM.

What couldan adult male and female do in the middle of the night? No one’s that dumb to not know what really happened.

Maybe that was what Su Yu wanted.

After sending off the woman, An went upstairs, planning to check up on Su Yu. To his surprise, Su Yu’s bedroom door was open and he was sitting on the carpet next to his bed, with a half-full bottle of whiskey in his hand.

“Boss, you drank too much today. You should stop drinking. Whiskey’s too strong. It’ll hurt your stomach.”

An had seen how much Su Yu had drank with Wei Liao and Tang Chuan earlier the night. He thought Su Yu would go to bed after coming home but he discovered Su Yu drinking alone, as if he didn’t have enough before.

“An, my heart aches.”

This was the truest thing Su Yu had said ever since he returned. His heart ached and he didn’t dare to tell his mother or his friends because he knew they cared deeply for him and he didn’t want to worry them.

It might be that he loved Huo Mian for so long that he knew how it felt thinking and caring about another person every second.

Su Yu had kept everything inside for such a long time. Up until now, he said nothing.

“Boss, if you have anything bothering you, you can tell me.”

An walked over. Taking advantage of Su Yu not paying attention, he grabbed the bottle of whiskey out of Su Yu’s hand and sat down next to Su Yu.

“Mian lost the soon-to-be-born child to save me. Who the f*ck am I?” Tears fell out of Su Yu’s eyes as he confessed.

An had guessed that it was about Huo Mian. Only when it was with her could he lose control like this.

“Boss, Doctor Huo won’t regret it. She knew nothing good was going to happen when she decided to go save you. It’s already a great ending that you both were able to safely return. Doctor Huo is still young. She also has two daughters already. Although children are important, your life is more important to her.”

An wasn’t well educated nor could he read minds, so he was only able to comfort Su Yu with what he knew.

“It’s different. Mian was pregnant for nine months. It was tough. Also, she looked forward to the birth of a new life so much. She even had his name picked out. That explosion… She was bleeding so much… Just like that, she had to witness the death of a child… Meanwhile, I was just there watching, not being able to do anything like a piece of garbage.”

Su Yu looked down and wept as he recalled that big explosion.

That incidence was traumatic for Su Yu. Huo Mian’s lost child also left a scar on his heart.
