My Youth Began With Him

After a moment of silence, Su Yu looked at the hardworking dancing shadow inside the glass room.

“Actually, she really is a hard worker.”

That was Su Yu’s comment.

Truthfully speaking, Han Yueyao’s family wasn’t that bad. Although they weren’t rich, they weren’t exactly impoverished; they were just a very average family.

Han Yueyao was simply too filial.

She really felt for her parents and that was why she wanted to make so much money.

She also knew right from wrong, wanting to earn money the right way, through hard work.

People like her were a rare breed in the present world. A nice way of describing people like her was having good values, but a more critical way of describing people like her was stubborn and bullish.

However, even if she was stubborn as a bull, Su Yu respected Han Yueyao. He respected her because she was grateful. She understood her parents’ hardships.

After the car accident, Su Yu felt even more guilt. So, this time, whether it was appropriate or not, whether it looked good or not, the chance to participate in u003cu003cDancing Allureu003eu003e had to go to her.

Su Yu and An stood outside for a while, ultimately choosing not to bother her.

After Han Yueyao finished practicing, it was already 7:30 in the evening.

She returned to her residence; Xiaoxiao was still out.

Exhausted, she took off her shoes and socks, preparing to go to bed.

Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door.

She opened the door curiously, surprised at the sight of Gao Yaruo.

“Can I help you?” Han Yueyao asked, clearly annoyed.

“We need to talk.”

“I don’t think we have anything to talk about.”

Han Yueyao immediately rejected her.

“Just talk to me. What if it’s good for you?”

Before Han Yueyao could reply, Gao Yaruo squeezed her way through the door.

Han Yueyao had no choice but to close the door behind them.

“What do you want?”

“This is my first time in your dorm, aren’t you going to give me a drink?” Gao Yaruo sat down on Han Yueyao’s bed and crossed her legs as if she was the most beautiful woman in the world.

“There’s water. You can pour a cup if you want some. There’s also coke in the fridge but it’s three bucks a can. You’re not my friend and I don’t need to give you anything.”

Han Yueyao was beyond impolite.

“Haha, you’re definitely from a poor family… even arguing over a couple of bucks… how small-minded…” Gao Yaruo scoffed.

“I treat people the way they deserve to be treated. If it was anyone else, I would give them an entire box. You? No, I don’t really like you.” Han Yueyao was frank as could be.

“Alright, I’m not very fond of you either. Let’s stop pretending then and I’ll come out with it. I want you to drop out of Dancing Allure.”

“Drop out? Why?” Han Yueyao thought Gao Yayue was dreaming.

Without speaking, Gao Yaruo took out a couple of stacks of cash from her Chanel bag and threw them onto the bed.

“What is this?” Han Yueyao furrowed her brows.

“Here’s 80,000. That’s just the down payment. Once you leave the competition, I’ll transfer 220,000 to your account. You have my word. If you’re afraid I’ll go back on my promise, I can write you an agreement right now. What do you think? Han Yueyao, aren’t you desperate for money? 300,000 is more than enough for you, right? Exit the competition. You can tell President Su that your leg is hurting and the money is yours. What do you think?”

“300,000… how generous of you.”

Han Yueyao knew how rich the Gao Family was. That was why Gao Yaruo was so free to do whatever she liked, bossing people around while still being a rookie at Imperial Star.

She also knew that Gao Yaruo had Nie Lingxuan’s agent to back her up. She had connections to the upper level of the company. The fact that she was cut from the competition made her feel completely indignant.

“Just tell me if you’re willing.”

“You want to buy me off with so little? Am I a hobo to you?”

“Then how much do you want? Why don’t give me a number?” Gao Yaruo was happy to hear that Han Yueyao was willing to negotiate. She wanted fame and was willing to spend more to get it.
