I Am Diagnosed as a Medical Titan

Chapter 333: Chapter 227: Congratulations to Jiang He for Being Able to Do Push-ups

He left the hospital.

On the way back to the hotel.

He couldn’t wait!

In his previous life, it had been just like this. After a long, busy day at the hospital, he would push open the door to his home and Shen Yu would be there, waiting for him.

Because of that, the journey home from work was always filled with excitement.

—If I’m on my way to see you, I’ll run. And so, Jiang He really started to run.

He caught the scent of roasted sweet potatoes.

The aroma was an irresistible, thunderous temptation.

He picked out a plump one, and the thought of their future child popped into his head. Heh heh.

When he got back to the hotel, swiped his key card, and entered the room...

He saw Shen Yu sitting on the armchair, studying.

The sight was a novelty to Jiang He.

In their past life, Shen Yu had already graduated when they got married, so he had never seen her like this, in her student days.

Shen Yu was wearing a fluffy white headband, chewing on the end of her pen with a slight frown.

Hearing the door open, Shen Yu shot her head up.

The moment she saw it was Jiang He, she tossed her pen aside, rushed over excitedly, and leaped into his arms.

”I missed you like crazy!”

”Dr. Jiang, you’re back!”

As soon as she jumped on him, Shen Yu started swinging her legs, grinning from ear to ear.

She said, ”Kisses, kisses~”

Jiang He expertly supported her perky bottom, steadied his balance, and hooked the door shut with his heel.

Then he lowered his head, gave her a peck on the lips, and replied with a smile, ”I’m back, I’m back. I brought you a roasted sweet potato. It’s still hot. What were you up to at the hotel today?”

Shen Yu planted several more smacking kisses on his face, then said in a soft, sweet voice, ”Studying, and thinking of you~”

’Teacher Shen is such a siren.’

’Charming in every single way.’

’There’s just no resisting her.’

Jiang He tightened his arms around her and leaned in for another kiss. ”I was thinking of you, too.”

The kiss started as a gentle touch, but their breathing quickly grew ragged.

Jiang He tossed the paper bag onto a cabinet and strode toward the bed, still carrying her.

They tumbled onto the bedding, and Jiang He kissed her deeply. As passion flared, his hand traced down her waistline and ventured lower.

Just as he was about to proceed to the next step, Shen Yu suddenly turned her head away, pressing her hands against his chest.

”Wait...” she panted lightly.

”What’s wrong?”

”You smell like the hospital. Go take a shower first.”

Jiang He sighed in resignation, complaining as he continued to kiss her, ”I feel like we’re going to be showering multiple times a day.”

Shen Yu’s cheeks flushed red. She made a gun gesture with her hands and retorted, ”Don’t say another word! It’s all your fault!”

Jiang He chuckled softly.

After a few more moments of kissing, he finally got up from the bed, grabbed a change of clothes, and went into the bathroom.

After they both showered.

One thing naturally led to another, and they shared a wave of bliss.

Being young and energetic, they worked up such a sweat that they had to take yet another shower.

They were both refreshed when they got back into bed.

Shen Yu sat leaning against the headboard and patted her lap. ”Come lie down.”

Jiang He obediently rested his head on her lap.

Shen Yu began to gently massage his head.

Jiang He closed his eyes and let out a long, relaxed sigh.

This scene, this pressure—it was all so familiar to him.

It was just like this in his past life. Teacher Shen always used to give him head massages like this.

Even though he already knew the answer, he feigned curiosity and asked, ”How did you get so good at massages, Teacher Shen?”

Shen Yu continued her massage, a smug smile playing on her lips. ”Heh heh, I’m not telling~”

Jiang He raised an eyebrow. ”So mysterious? You didn’t learn from an ex-boyfriend, did you?”

Shen Yu grew anxious. ”Of course not! I’ve never had a boyfriend!”

Jiang He’s interest was suddenly piqued.

He rolled over, pressing his cheek against her leg. ”Hey, if I can guess how you learned to give massages, how about we try... *that thing* tonight?”

Shen Yu paused, not quite following. ”Which thing?”

Jiang He winked, his eyes glancing at her chest.

Shen Yu understood instantly, and her face turned completely red.

She remembered all the bizarre ”theoretical knowledge” that had come out of Jiang He’s mouth last night and silently cursed, ’Perv!’

But on second thought, even her best friend Xu Juan didn’t know she’d learned massage. ’How could Jiang He possibly guess?’

’Impossible. Ab-so-lutely impossible!’

Shen Yu declared, ”Fine, it’s a bet!”

Jiang He suppressed his laughter and began his mock deduction. ”Let me guess... See, you’ve never been in a relationship, so you definitely didn’t learn by massaging a guy. You live in a dorm at school, so it’s not like you’re giving your roommates massages every day...”

After a string of wild guesses, he delivered his final conclusion: ”I’m guessing you learned by giving your grandmother massages, didn’t you?”

Shen Yu: ”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

The moment that expression appeared on her face, she knew she had been exposed.

Her eyes widened, her pupils constricted, and her lips parted slightly, but no sound came out!

’Damn it! No matter how you look at it, this is the face of someone who’s been completely figured out!’

Jiang He watched her with great interest. ”So?”

Shen Yu pointed at him, stammering, ”You-you-you-you... How did you guess?!”

”I just guessed. So, what now? Are you going to go back on your word? Are you going to weasel out of it?”

”I would never weasel out of it!” Shen Yu bit her lower lip, steeled her resolve, and squeezed her eyes shut. ”Let’s do it, then!”

For some reason, an image of that infamous, bankrupt bike-sharing company from his past life suddenly popped into Jiang He’s mind:

Ofo.

Teacher Shen’s current expression was just like someone being asked if they could still get their deposit back.

Jiang He had given her gold.

Hundreds of thousands of yuan worth of gold.

Teacher Shen had accepted it reluctantly, but she was ultimately happy.

As for whether any ”gold” would be ”produced” tonight, and where it would end up... well, who knows...

...

For the next few days, Jiang He completely set aside all his work to wholeheartedly accompany Shen Yu.

He was truly happy during those days.

If he had to describe his current state in one sentence, it would be:

—Congratulations to Jiang He for being able to prop himself up off the ground!

Aside from their ”in-depth exchanges” at the hotel, the two of them also explored the streets and alleys of the Capital City like any other ordinary couple.

They climbed the Great Wall, visited the Forbidden City, and saw the movie *Painted Skin*.

The movie scared Teacher Shen half to death.

After they got back, she threw a huge, cuddly fit...

The consequence of her pouting was being coaxed by Jiang He into trying new things.

’Just where does Jiang He come up with so many new tricks!!!!’

’Who the hell taught you all this!!!’

Jiang He also kept subtly trying to persuade Teacher Shen, occasionally tapping her lips and so on.

Teacher Shen said, no way, no way!

It wasn’t mainly that she was unwilling; it was mainly that Teacher Shen was smart.

’What if I satisfy him completely all at once and he stops wanting me?’

’Better to keep him hanging. I’ll wait until I go to Southern China next time.’

Teacher Shen thought she was a genius.

But it was just as Jiang He had said before.

When you’re apart, you’re counting down to when you’ll meet. When you’re together, you’re counting down to when you’ll part.

Time ambled on, and December finally arrived.

News came from the university: the very-early-stage pancreatic cancer serum samples that Professor Gu had requested from the Charite Medical School, Berlin, Germany, were about to arrive in Yangcheng.

Jiang He had to return to Southern China after all.

This parting was more reluctant than any before.

After all, they had just crossed that line and were at the most intense and clingy stage of their relationship.

At the airport, outside the security checkpoint.

Jiang He and Shen Yu held each other tightly, unwilling to let go for a long time.

Not far away, Chen Hao stood with the luggage cart. Watching the scene, he turned to Xu Juan beside him and said, ”See you next time, Juanzi.”

Xu Juan nodded.

Her opinion of Chen Hao had changed after spending the last few days with him. Although he usually seemed a bit flighty, he was actually very reliable when it came to details like arranging their schedule, ordering meals, and being considerate of people’s feelings.

So she smiled, her tone softening a bit. ”See you next time~”

Chen Hao tried to press his advantage, asking tentatively, ”Should we hug too?”

Xu Juan: ”?”

She took back all the praise she had just been giving Chen Hao in her head.

’Sure enough, you really can’t date a doctor.’

Shen Yu buried her face in Jiang He’s chest and said in a muffled voice, ”I’ll come to Southern China after the New Year.”

”Okay,” Jiang He said, stroking her hair. ”I’ll rent an apartment nearby, and then we can live together every day.”

The moment she heard ”live together every day,” the tips of her ears turned bright red.

After spending these past few days together in the hotel, she could already guess what their daily life would be like once they moved in together.

Dr. Jiang was a tireless machine in the operating room, and apparently, he was the same in bed.

’The key is, if things keep going like this, can we really wait until marriage?’

’It’s hard to say...’

’I’d better not end up with two kids before I even get my diploma...’

Shen Yu quickly shook her head, banishing these chaotic thoughts from her mind.

She looked up, her expression serious as she instructed Jiang He, ”After you go back, you have to rest well and eat on time. You can’t keep working around the clock like before, you hear?”

”I know,” Jiang He promised with a smile.

”I’ll have Chen Hao keep an eye on you.” Shen Yu shot him a glare and shook her fist. ”If I find out you haven’t been resting properly, I’ll beat you up when I get to Southern China.”

”Okay, I’ll let you beat me up.” Jiang He took her fist and brought it to his lips for a kiss.

Shen Yu fell silent for a moment, then suddenly hugged Jiang He tightly again.

Her voice was thick with emotion as she said pitifully, ”I’ll miss you so much...”

He was still right in front of her, they hadn’t even parted yet, but she was already starting to miss him like crazy.

Jiang He hugged her back and sighed softly. ”Me too.”

As the boarding time drew nearer, the atmosphere grew somber.

Not wanting to see her cry, Jiang He’s mind raced, and he suddenly said, ”How about this? I’ll tell you a joke. From now on, I’ll text you a joke every day so you won’t get bored while you’re studying here.”

Shen Yu sniffled, her eyes red as she nodded. ”Okay. Tell me one now.”

Jiang He said with a straight face, ”I have a question for you. What has four wheels and flies?”

Shen Yu was stumped. She thought about it seriously for a moment, then asked hesitantly,

”What is it? A flying car?”

Jiang He: ”A garbage truck!”

Standing not far away, Xu Juan and Chen Hao: ”?”

Shen Yu also froze for a second.

That joke... was colder than the air outside.

But after two seconds, she burst out laughing.

”That’s hilarious!” Shen Yu’s eyes crinkled as she laughed. ”In that case, Dr. Jiang, you’ll have to tell me more in the future~”

She didn’t care how cold or lame the joke was.

As long as Jiang He was the one telling it, she thought it was the best joke in the world.
