I Am Diagnosed as a Medical Titan

Chapter 326: Chapter 221: Artisan

Jiang He’s decision to specifically buy stockings before coming to the Capital City proved to be a stroke of genius.

He got out of bed and took out an ultra-thin pair of stockings.

Shen Yu froze for a moment. ”What’s this?”

Jiang He appeared calm. ”I bought them at a mall before I came. You said you were a little cold, so I thought these might help keep you warm.”

”Dr. Jiang, really? Are you really making me wear these to stay warm? An ultra-thin pair?”

”That’s right.”

”Don’t think I’m that naive...”

”It’s true. A silk nightgown isn’t windproof, Teacher Shen. Give it a try. This is a recommendation from a medical perspective.”

”No, no, no! It’s so embarrassing. Who does this...?”

”Alright, well, I don’t know if Liu Xiaotian ever told you, but from a medical standpoint, this is for the best.”

”For real?”

”Absolutely. Think about it: the sooner we finish, the sooner you can de-stress, and the sooner your body will feel amazing.”

”Ah... I see...”

”Mhm, mhm.”

Shen Yu bit her lip under the covers.

After hesitating for a few seconds, she finally surrendered.

She mumbled softly, ”Turn around.”

Jiang He immediately spun around, his back to the bed.

After a good while, a faint voice came from behind him. ”O... Okay.”

Jiang He turned back.

Beneath the milky-white silk slip dress, her long, jade-like legs were now clad in black stockings.

The color contrast was striking.

The visual impact was off the charts.

Shen Yu kept her eyes squeezed shut, blushing furiously. ”Dr. Jiang, you... you... Are you satisfied now...?”

She was clearly embarrassed, yet she still tried her best to please him.

’Just keep spoiling him!’

Jiang He wasted no more words, throwing back the covers and pressing down on her.

A young person’s energy is limitless, especially in a long-awaited reunion like this.

Jiang He displayed an extremely high level of work enthusiasm.

During their pleasant ”playtime,” Shen Yu found herself being pushed step by step.

In a gap between breaths, she couldn’t help but grab Jiang He’s shoulders and ask, ”You... Where on earth did you learn all this stuff? You’ve never been in a relationship...”

Without stopping, Jiang He shifted the blame, his expression unchanging. ”It’s all my roommate Li Zijian’s fault. He’s very experienced. At night, when we’ve got nothing to do in the dorm, he loves to lecture me on all this theoretical knowledge. I’m just putting theory into practice.”

The moment Shen Yu heard that, an image of her own roommate, Liu Xiaotian, animatedly imparting her wisdom in their dorm room flashed through her mind.

It dawned on her. ”Oh... so he’s just like my roommate, Liu Xiaotian?”

Jiang He nodded in profound agreement. ”Indeed. In the north, there is Liu Xiaotian; in the south, there is Li Zijian.”

Their roommates’ assists were just too good.

In this round, Jiang He and Shen Yu were just along for the ride while their roommates were the real MVPs!

His words made Shen Yu want to laugh.

But in the next second, Jiang He changed his strategy.

Her laughter immediately turned into a gasp.

The ”work” had entered the deep end, requiring a serious alignment of granular details.

Relying on the memories from his past life, Jiang He was far too experienced.

He wasn’t satisfied with conventional contact and, at this moment, threw out a new concept.

Jiang He leaned close to Shen Yu’s ear, whispered a few words, and provided a specific plan of action.

Shen Yu’s face was full of disbelief. ”What? No way... That’s too...”

”It’s okay, Teacher Shen.”

Jiang He guided her, helping her adjust their position.

It was an eye-opening experience for Shen Yu!

That night, Teacher Shen had no idea how many times she’d murmured, ”How are you so skilled at this...”

It was like the season of *White Album* all over again...

Jiang He once again proved with his actions the absolute advantage a clinician holds when it comes to hands-on skills.

An unknown amount of time passed before the room finally fell quiet.

Shen Yu was drenched in sweat, as was Jiang He.

”Good thing we booked a double bed.”

Jiang He said, ”Perfect wet-dry separation.”

Shen Yu: ”?”

She wanted to retort, but she had no energy left to argue with Jiang He’s bizarre terminology.

Shen Yu was exhausted. Cuddling Jiang He, she found a comfortable position, closed her eyes, and fell asleep in a second.

Asleep in a second?

Mhm, hehe, a bit like Dr. Jiang’s first performance earlier, hehe.

...

「The next day.」

Jiang He woke up early.

He quietly watched the person in his arms.

Shen Yu was in a deep sleep, her breathing even.

She held him tightly, wrapped around him as if afraid he’d run away even in her dreams.

Last night, although they hadn’t crossed the final line, they had, in a sense, laid everything bare for each other.

From this moment on, they were officially a couple.

To be honest, Jiang He felt a little helpless.

’My original plan after being reborn was to create a beautiful, memorable ceremony, and then take things slowly.’

’But who could have known that after seeing her again, I wouldn’t be able to restrain my feelings for her at all?’

’I haven’t even confessed my feelings, but we’ve already come this far...’

He was suddenly reminded of Wang Bo from his past life. That kid had also been eager to get into a relationship.

But every time he confessed to a girl, it was like a gamble, playing the odds, and he always failed.

He’d run over and ask Jiang He how he had confessed back then.

Jiang He thought about it.

’I never confessed back then, either.’

The two of them just liked each other, and by a stroke of luck, they went home together on a rainy night, had a little to drink, and fell asleep in each other’s arms...

When they woke up, they naturally became boyfriend and girlfriend. There was never a formal confession.

For two people who truly like each other, there’s no need for so-called ceremony.

Physical attraction makes two people desperate to be together; neither can wait even one more day.

It’s just like that saying: all those requirements and standards are actually for the people you don’t like.

As he was thinking this, Shen Yu’s eyelashes fluttered, and she slowly opened her eyes.

Her gaze was still a little dazed from sleep. After meeting Jiang He’s smiling eyes, she paused for two seconds, then the corners of her mouth curled up uncontrollably.

”Good morning, Teacher Shen,” Jiang He said softly.

”Morn...”

Shen Yu had a very beautiful dream last night.

She had almost blurted out the ”honey” she’d called him in her dream.

She quickly shut her mouth, paused for a moment, and then rephrased, ”Morning, Dr. Jiang~”

Jiang He’s eyes were gentle as he kissed her on the forehead.

Shen Yu smiled and leaned up, kissing Jiang He on the chin in return.

Like two children who had just gotten new toys, they started acting all lovey-dovey under the covers.

Jiang He poked Shen Yu’s soft cheeks.

Shen Yu pinched Jiang He’s nose.

Jiang He opened his mouth, pretending he couldn’t breathe. Shen Yu immediately let go, then burst out giggling.

Jiang He watched her laugh and laughed along with her.

Then they held each other tightly.

There were no funny jokes, and nothing comical had happened; they just felt happy.

Just looking at each other’s faces and feeling each other’s warmth made them want to smile, filled them with happiness.

As they were laughing and playing around like this, the smile on Shen Yu’s face suddenly froze.

She looked up, her expression complex as she stared at Jiang He. ”You, how, again...?”

Jiang He scratched his head and said nothing.

Shen Yu sighed, her tone full of exasperation. ”Aren’t you tired? We were up half the night, and we have to go out today.”

Jiang He decided to be direct, staring at her and saying, ”I want it.”

He stared at her until she had no fight left in her.

She bit her lower lip, her cheeks flushing. ”Aiya, I know, I know!”

Though she complained, her body was quite honest.

Teacher Shen reached her hand under the covers.

From passively accepting last night, she had now officially re-specialized as a morning artisan.

More than twenty minutes later, Jiang He went to the bathroom to wash up, and Shen Yu picked up her phone.

There were several unread messages, all from Xu Juan.

[Xu Juan: You awake? Girl, do you know what time it is?]

[Xu Juan: I already picked up the ring from the store yesterday. I confirmed it, the size is correct.]

[Xu Juan: I also confirmed with the owner about the terrace. They’ll start setting up at 3 p.m. Balloons, flowers, string lights, everything according to your plan.]

[Xu Juan: You have to play it cool. Don’t let him see through it. Find an excuse to bring him over in the afternoon.]

[Shen Yu: I’m up! Don’t worry, my acting is top-notch. Dr. Jiang is completely in the dark. I’ll bring him there at 4 p.m. on the dot. Thanks for your hard work, Juanzi! Love you!]

[Shen Yu: By the way, how did it go with you and Chen Hao last night? (gossipy eyes)...]

[Xu Juan: Don’t even mention it. I’m speechless. Let’s talk in person, ugh.]

After replying to the messages, Shen Yu quickly put her phone back where it was.

Jiang He came out just then.

Shen Yu: ”You’re done? Then I’ll go wash up.”

As Teacher Shen walked past, Jiang He couldn’t resist giving her pert bottom a little smack.

He earned a glare from Teacher Shen, to which he just responded with a cheeky grin.

Nice~

Jiang He walked to the window and pulled open the curtains.

The morning hustle and bustle of the Capital City filled his vision.

Then he picked up his own phone.

The messages from Chen Hao were frequent.

[Chen Hao: Old Jiang, you awake?]

[Chen Hao: I’ve met with the venue manager. The observation deck at the rooftop restaurant has a fantastic view.]

[Chen Hao: The florist said they’ll deliver ninety-nine roses at 2 p.m. I’ll personally supervise the arrangement.]

[Chen Hao: You can count on me. I’ll definitely give Teacher Shen a huge surprise. Just remember to bring her over this afternoon, and don’t screw it up.]

Jiang He smiled slightly and replied to the message.

[Jiang He: Thanks for the hard work. Everything’s fine on my end. Teacher Shen hasn’t suspected a thing. See you this afternoon.]

[Jiang He: By the way, how’d it go with Juanzi last night?]

[Chen Hao: Nailed it! I’ll tell you when I see you!]

[Jiang He: Badass.]

In this hotel suite of over one hundred square meters, two people, each believing they were in control of the situation, were weaving their own enormous surprises.

A mutual journey, and a mutual deception.

The bathroom door opened, and Shen Yu walked out, drying her face with a towel. ”Jiang He, where are we going today? Do you have any plans?”

Jiang He turned to look at her. ”I was supposed to go to Peking Union Medical College Hospital, but there was a last-minute change. Director Xu told me to go tomorrow instead.”

”Oh, I see...” Shen Yu nodded, secretly breathing a sigh of relief.

’It’s for the best that we don’t have to go to the hospital. That way, my plan for the afternoon can proceed smoothly.’

She feigned nonchalance and asked, ”Well, since you’re free today, why don’t we go for a walk this afternoon? I’ll take you somewhere.”

”Hmm?” Jiang He frowned. ”Where to?”

”It’s a secret. But it’s a good place.”

Jiang He’s brow furrowed. ”But I also have a place I want to take you.”

Shen Yu: ”Where do you want to take me?”

Jiang He: ”That’s a secret, too.”

Shen Yu: ”???”

The two of them were at an impasse.

Jiang He: ”Let’s eat first. We can decide whose plan to follow after breakfast.”

Shen Yu: ”Mhm, okay.”

With their own secret plans in mind, the two went to have the hotel breakfast.

During the meal, Shen Yu was still clingy, insisting on squeezing onto the same single-person sofa as Jiang He.

The new couple, having just made things official, had gotten a taste and couldn’t get enough, acting all sweet and lovey-dovey.

They dallied and dawdled.

She almost made Jiang He lose his composure.

Only after his repeated insistence...

...did Teacher Shen finally tone it down a bit.

Halfway through the meal, Jiang He received a text from Chen Hao.

The gist of it was that he had already made arrangements. He’d had Xu Juan change Shen Yu’s planned location, so Shen Yu would end up taking Jiang He to the place they had set up.

To put it bluntly, he’d pulled off a classic ”spy vs. spy” maneuver.

Jiang He could finally relax. He then said to Teacher Shen, ”I’ll follow your lead this afternoon. We’ll go wherever you want to go.”

”Yummy,” Shen Yu said, still chewing on a steamed bun.

She giggled and started asking for hugs again.

She could never get enough hugs!

’No wonder in my dream, the first thing I did every day after work was look for Dr. Jiang for a hug. Dr. Jiang is just so huggable.’

’He smells so good, and he has a hint of abs. He’s so handsome. It’s so nice, I really, really like it~’

Jiang He was helpless against her, able only to accept her affection. He said pointedly, ”Eat more today, so you’ll have the energy for our outing this afternoon.”

”You too, eat more.” Shen Yu stuffed half a fried dough stick into Jiang He’s mouth.

After breakfast, it was still early.

But Teacher Shen said she had to go back to her dorm first and would see him in the afternoon.

Jiang He agreed to this.

The two parted reluctantly.

In reality, both of them were planning to go get ready and change their clothes.

They had to be well-prepared for the afternoon’s proposal!
