Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1096: Chapter 381: Hongmen, Taking the Opportunity to Show Strength, Allies and the New Nine Towns, Dominant Great Xia, Shamelessness

The eighth year of Great Xia, April 29

Similarly, it was shortly after nightfall.

Xia Hong, clad in black, stood on the northern mountain wall of the Hongguan Pass, his hand resting on the long blade of the Dragon Sparrow Saber at his waist, with a domineering gaze overlooking the entirety of Hongguan Pass below.

Behind him stood seven figures: Yuan Cheng, Luo Yuan, Hong Guang, Hong Tian, Zhou Yuan, Yue Feng, and Hou Tong. Although silent, their eyes clearly showed a strong excitement as they looked at Hongguan Pass below.

Last night, more than an hour before dawn, the seven large armies, including Dragon Slayer, reached the Hongguan Camp. It was precisely because of these seven armies stationed at Hongguan that Xia Chuan could confidently lead the Cloud Dragon Army eastward to attack the Peak Mountain Camp.

Xia Hong turned to look at the seven and said in a deep voice, ”Your seven armies will be stationed here for a long time to come. Starting today, not only Hongguan, but you must also become thoroughly familiar with the exact locations and surrounding environments of all the camps in the Nine Towns to the east of Hongguan. One day, it will prove useful.

Also, over the past six months, all the major battles between Jiangxia and Bashang Towns against Dajue Temple should have been compiled by the Military Department; these are paths paved with the lives of those who came before. You must study them carefully.”

Hearing Xia Hong’s words, the seven’s expressions became slightly solemn, and they replied in unison, ”We will follow your orders!”

The ambition revealed in Xia Hong’s words was so obvious that the seven, who understood the implications, naturally became increasingly excited, and their eyes were filled with even more fervor as they looked at Xia Hong’s back.

Each of them commanded an army, making them undoubtedly senior members of Great Xia. Xia Hong’s ambitious plans clearly allowed them to see a broader future for both themselves and Great Xia.

To follow such a leader was undoubtedly the greatest fortune in the lives of those eager to achieve fame and success.

”The Six Towns people took an entire day and night to divide it up, and they still haven’t finished. It seems the Bashang Town treasury is indeed quite full...”

Upon hearing Xia Hong’s words, the seven turned their heads to look at Bashang City in the southeast, each with different expressions.

Suddenly thinking of something, Yuan Cheng cupped his hands and said, ”Lord, since Bashang is located on the east bank of the Xing River, at the south end of the Nine Towns, and the treasury has already been divided by the Six Towns, shouldn’t the territory belong to our Great Xia?”

The remaining six nodded slightly at this.

Luo Yuan, after nodding, directly stated, ”The Northern Three Towns are out of reach; even if they wanted to take it, they couldn’t. As for the Central South Three Towns, unless Jiangxia Town gives way, as long as our Great Xia is in the middle, no one can lay a finger on Bashang!”

The special geographic location of Bashang determined that as long as Jiangxia and Great Xia did not give way, the Northern Six Towns could not touch it.

It was naturally impossible for Jiangxia to give way to Chui Mountain. The only concern was Yangqu and Dragon Valley Towns. After all, during the previous chaos caused by Dajue Temple, these two towns aided Jiangxia, and the relationships among the three towns were quite extraordinary.

Xia Hong’s eyes flashed briefly, and he chuckled lightly, ”I assume the Six Town Lords divided the Bashang territory yesterday, but all to no avail. Tonight’s grand banquet is when the true ownership of Bashang will be decided.”

Upon hearing about tonight’s grand banquet, Yuan Cheng and the others were slightly uplifted.

They all knew about Xia Hong’s plan to simultaneously invite the Eight Town Lords to a banquet tonight.

Great Xia’s first public appearance on the southern slope of Moao Mountain and simultaneously inviting the Eight Town Lords—what an audacity!

Only their lord, Xia Hong, would have such confidence.

Gazing at the Hongguan Pass below, Xia Hong suddenly laughed and said, ”Hongguan doesn’t sound good. I’ll rename this place to Hongmen!”

Thus, tonight’s grand banquet was indeed a Hongmen Banquet.

Seeing the confusion on Yuan Cheng and the others, Xia Hong chuckled but shook his head, choosing not to reveal his little whims to them.

”Lord, the banquet platform is ready!”

Suddenly, a figure climbed up from the mountain wall below. It was Qiu Peng, the Director of the Camp Supply Department, who had specially brought people from Xia City to set up the banquet during the day.

”Noted...”

After Xia Hong’s response, he turned abruptly to look at the eastern side of the camp, smiling as he continued, ”What a coincidence, Xia Chuan has also returned and seems to have brought some distinguished guests. Come, let’s go down to meet with the people from the Nine Towns!”

As he finished speaking, he leaped down the mountain wall, followed by Yuan Cheng and the others, who jumped down one after another, trailing behind him.

In front of the main tent at Hongguan Camp, an iron round platform three meters high had appeared at some point. The round platform had a diameter of thirty meters and nine tables arranged in a circular pattern, without a primary or secondary distinction; each table had only one chair.

Except for the chair at the center, which did not have a label, the other eight chairs were labeled with the names of towns. Starting from the chair at the center, the left side chairs were labeled with Jiangxia, Yangqu, Beishuo, Jin Mountain, Wuchuan, Chui Mountain, Dragon Valley, Muyin.

Surprisingly, Xia Hong had even arranged the seating for the Eight Towns.

Below the round platform, Lord Xiahou stood with Jiang Xinfan and two others, observing the nine tables on the platform with a contemplative expression.

”Lord Xiahou, it has been half a year; I hope you have been well!”

Before Xia Hong even approached, he greeted Xiahou Zhang with a smile, cupping his hands as if there was no unfamiliarity between them.

The great defeat at Hongguan, where Xiahou Zhang was pursued by the Vajra Master and ambushed by the Yan Long Master above Peak Mountain, only to be saved by Xia Hong, happened on the night of November 29 last year, just about half a year ago.

However, what Xia Hong didn’t know was that this was actually the third time Xiahou Zhang had met him. During Xia Hong’s consecutive slaying of three masters in Bashang City the previous day, Xiahou Zhang had been secretly observing the entire time.
