Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1088: Chapter 379: Awakening, Promotion, and Expansion; Jiangxia Recaptured and Decision-Making (Part 3)

”How many Cold Resistance Level soldiers are there in the army?”

Qiu Peng is in charge of the Camp Supply Department, controlling everyone’s Contribution Value data, and he is clear about the whereabouts of these elite personnel in the camp. He bowed his head and thought for a moment before answering, ”There are more than 4,300 Cold Resistance Level soldiers in the army.”

The Great Xia has a total of eleven armies, with a total number of 11,000 people. More than 4,300 are Cold Resistance Level, so the remaining 6,600 people are naturally all Earth-digging Realm Limit Cultivation, meaning that there are still more than 12,000 reserve soldiers available.

”Yuwen Dao is in Muyin Town, and I will take charge and expand four more armies! Qiu Peng, Xu Ning, each of you will take one army, and also inform Lin Kai in Wuyuan and Lu Yang in East Ridge, ask them to come back to Xia City when they have time to start forming armies.”

Expand four more armies!

Upon hearing this order, Qiu Peng and Xu Ning’s expressions suddenly shook.

”Subordinate obeys!”

Xu Ning had long wanted to form an army. His Black Arrow Team had already been promoted to an Advanced Hunting Team for a long time, constrained by the difference in strength with other teams, he had not mentioned it; Qiu Peng was the same, he was originally a member of the Cloud Jiao Team, left the team later, and created the Fei Peng Team himself, which has also long upgraded to an Advanced Hunting Team now.

Now receiving authorization from Xia Hong to form an army, the two were naturally excited.

Xia Hong saw the two so excited, gently smiled, then turned his head to look at the position of Hongguan, a glint of brilliance flashing in his eyes.

”The seven armies from Wuyuan set off after nightfall, traveling straight from Wuyuan to Baiyang, it doesn’t take long, then from Baiyang to Qinghepu, passing two villages of Jinbi Dragon River, finally reaching Hongguan, this total distance is more than seventy kilometers, at around nine kilometers per hour, they should just about arrive at Hongguan now, things there should just be getting lively, I have to go see it myself!”

.........

Moao Calendar, Year 132, May 2nd

The sky was faintly turning white, the temperature was noticeably dropping sharply, some clustered snowflakes had been frozen into hail, clacking on the ground.

On the east side of the Snow Forest in the Peak Mountain Camp, the cold wind howled past, Xiahou Zhang lowered his head looking at the black soft sword in his hand, his brow furrowed, clearly pondering something.

Standing behind him were four people, namely Town Chief Jiang Xinfan, the newly appointed Army Chief Jiang Yuanlong, and two Deputy Army Chiefs Xiahou Ying and Jiang Yuandong.

Originally, Jiangxia had five Deputy Army Chiefs, two died in the battle with Dajue Temple, leaving only three now, after the death of Jiang Yinglong, Xiahou Zhang succeeded as the lord, appointing Jiang Yuanlong as Army Chief.

”The strength of Great Xia is unfathomable!”

Xiahou Zhang, who had been silent for a long time, suddenly turned his head and spoke to the four people behind him.

The four were all startled upon hearing this.

Xiahou Zhang continued, ”I just went to see, currently stationed at Hongguan Camp are eight thousand troops, more than three thousand are Cold Resistance Level, all wearing gold Thousand Forged Armor, the remaining nearly five thousand are all Earth-digging Realm Limit, wearing gold Hundred-forged Armor. Observing the distribution of their military ranks in the camp and the overall spirit, these are elite troops with very strong combat experience, definitely not just a makeshift rabble.”

Upon hearing Xiahou Zhang’s description of Hongguan Camp’s situation, the pupils of the four Jiang Xinfan narrowed slightly, and their expressions instantly became extremely solemn.

”That person from Yuan Cheng who came to deliver the sword to Longzhou Camp, claiming to be the Director of the Department of one of the Eight Divisions of Great Xia, seems to have some status in Great Xia, but likely not very high; he looks at most thirty years old, yet has the strength of twenty-four clutches. Such a genius, casually dispatched to send messages, likely Great Xia has many people like him.”

After Jiang Xinfan finished speaking, the crowd’s expressions became heavier.

But not everyone thought so much, Xiahou Ying obviously didn’t think that much, with a gloomy face said, ”But the news that Yuan Cheng brought us wasn’t fake! Chui Mountain indeed sent people southward; Great Xia occupied Hongguan, they couldn’t take it, so immediately changed course to occupy Peak Mountain Camp. If we hadn’t reacted quickly and reclaimed the two camps of Xuyang and Longzhou first, these bastards would likely continue to occupy more of Jiangxia’s land to the east, damn it!”

Upon hearing Xiahou Ying’s words, Xiahou Zhang’s expression slightly stalled.

Xiahou Zhang was well aware that with the death of his master Jiang Yinglong, Jiangxia would no longer have the qualification to compete with the other Nine Towns, so he straightforwardly abandoned the action at Dajue Temple, and secretly focused on monitoring the battle in Bashang City.

The situation changed abruptly; none expected that on New Year’s Eve, he would see all Five Great Masters appearing in Bashang City, and he was stunned.

Of course, what stunned him further was Xiahou’s subsequent intervention.

He recognized at a glance that Xia Hong was the mysterious person who rescued him from the hands of the Yan Long Master at the end of last year.

Facing five alone, and killed three!

This strength shocked Xiahou Zhang, and more is apprehension.

There would be no unprovoked kindness in this world. When Xia Hong rescued him at the end of last year, he was already wondering what Xia Hong was plotting.

After the Bashang City battle ended, Great Xia emerged completely, coupled with the fact that a few hours ago, Yuan Cheng of Great Xia sent him the black soft sword taken by Xia Hong last year, all the answers naturally became apparent.

”That such a powerful camp unexpectedly appeared on the west bank of the Heng River, and now began expanding towards the Nine Towns over here. Reflecting now, during the series of big battles between Dajue Temple and us, Great Xia had always been watching.

That Xia Hong lastly at Bashang killed three Great Masters, rescued Xiang Fuhai, now also conveniently controlled the entire North Bank of the Heng River. After the obliteration of Dajue Temple, the biggest gain goes to Great Xia alone; while the Seven Towns are still oblivious, still arguing furiously over the ownership of Bashang City, it’s simply laughable...”
