Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1066: Chapter 374: The Battle and Fall of Bashang, Xiang Fuhai’s Despair and Rage, Five Great Masters (Part 3)

Who could compare with his basic strength surpassing fifty mane?

Clang... Clang......

Countless arrows hit him and fell directly to the ground. Not to mention piercing the body, even leaving white spots on his skin membrane was rare.

”Ah........”

Yan Xin wouldn’t just sit by and let the crowd keep shooting arrows; he fiercely swung his Red Zen Stick, unleashing a wave of fire. After smashing countless Iron Arrows, he displayed a ferocious grin and charged directly into the crowd.

”Follow me down there and assist the army in breaking the city gate!”

It wasn’t just Yan Xin who jumped onto the wall.

Four thousand Zen Temple Bhikkhus, their bodies exuding golden light, all jumped up. The first three hundred official bhikkhus had notably more intense golden light than the ones behind them. Hearing Yan Xin’s command, they promptly rushed towards the southern edge of the city wall.

Bashang City’s walls were about twenty meters wide, so after jumping on, they needed to keep heading south to descend. Yan Xin had clearly noticed many people inside exerting themselves to brace the gate, so he intended to lead others first down the wall to help those outside break open the gate.

”Cold Resistance Level, come with me to stop them. Everyone else, keep defending, and prevent the enemy from climbing up the wall.”

Xiang Tianlin would never let Dajue Temple have its way; if the gate barrier fell, Bashang would lose over half the battle. His father and second uncle were up in the sky desperately blocking those two Great Masters; next, it would rely on them.

”We cannot let them get down there, brothers, fight to the death!”

”Never let the Demon Temple seize our town, kill!”

”Hold the wall!”

........

After all, as one of the Nine Towns, the Bashang people’s spirit was fully unleashed, and the cohesion erupted remarkably strong. As Xiang Tianlin stepped forward, Xiang Tiancheng, the Xiang Family disciples, and Bashang’s remaining over three thousand Cold Resistance Level, all followed suit.

The top of the city wall rang with thunderous shouts of combat.

The hole the Vajra Master initially blasted in the city gate was under a meter in diameter, at most allowing two people in at a time. Relying on the knife and gun proof effect of the Six Paths Vajra Mantra, although Dajue Temple’s side constantly sent people rushing in, the efficiency was ultimately too slow.

Moreover, once inside, they faced the slaughter of city guard soldiers; no matter how strong the Six Paths Vajra Mantra’s effect was, it couldn’t withstand the Bashang defenders’ readiness, so they were simply unable to occupy the inside of the gate.

Of course, only a small portion of soldiers flooded the large hole in the door; the majority were using weapons to scale the wall.

Soldiers at the Earth-digging Realm had basic strength over ten thousand pounds. While they couldn’t jump directly like those at the Cold Resistance Level, they could easily scale the ten-meter-high wall with weapons and strength.

However, the premise was there were no guards above.

Xiang Tianlin, in the act of blocking Yan Xin and a crowd of bhikkhus, had just ordered all Earth-digging Realm soldiers atop the walls to prevent the enemy from climbing up, so at that moment neither side could find the other’s loophole. Both sides were attacking and defending, relying solely on desperation.

With the entire six thousand from the front army reaching the wall’s base, Dajue Temple’s Deputy Commander Wu Chen brought the rear ten thousand to the foot of the wall.

Seeing the front army less than ten thousand rushing to the wall, with over thirty thousand anxiously below, Wu Chen furrowed his brow and swung his sword, slicing an Iron Arrow away. Coldly ordering to the three bald bhikkhus behind him, ”Jin He, Hei Yuan, Giant Mountain, you each lead twenty thousand, circumvent the gate, and climb at two sides finding places where the enemy is weakly defended!”

”Yes, senior brother!”

The three behind him agreed verbally and swiftly led their army of twenty thousand to bypass on both sides of the gate, seeking unguarded places to scale the walls.

The wall stretched over fifteen kilometers; naturally, the focus was breaking the city gate, but at the moment Bashang’s defenders clustered around the gate area. Yan Xin and his group hadn’t broken through for so long, indicating the intense resistance of Bashang.

Since that’s the case, other methods needed considering.

”Divide forces; watch those three armies and prevent them from reaching the wall!”

Bashang’s commanders atop the wall realized Wu Chen’s intent, immediately shouting to signal their own side to divide forces and observe.

By now you could see, though Bashang had fewer Cold Resistance Levels compared to Dajue Temple, the defenders outnumbered Dajue Temple’s forces overall.

They had more numbers and were the defending side from higher ground. In normal battle conditions, they wouldn’t be this disadvantaged; the main issue was that Vajra Mantra.

The enemy’s body that couldn’t be pierced by blades or bullets was truly heaven-defying.

In less than an hour, relying solely on the Vajra Master’s door-hole, a large contingent of Earth-digging Realm soldiers had indeed killed their way inside the gate. Judging by the scale, there’s at least a thousand or two, and new ranks kept charging in from behind, unexpectedly occupying over a hundred meters region within the gate.

Bang......

From the southern end of the wall, Yan Xin swung his arms fiercely, killing a Cold Resistance Level from Bashang with over twenty mane. Looking at the near edge of the wall, he unhesitatingly leaped downward.

”Follow me and jump down the wall, the time for the breach is now!”

One after another, white-clothed bhikkhus followed him, gathering strength to jump down, with a large group of grey-clothed bhikkhus behind them following suit.

”The city wall can’t hold, they all jumped down.”

”We shouldn’t have split forces, shouldn’t have!”

”If we don’t divide forces, allowing those six thousand Earth-digging Realm soldiers in elsewhere, the gate ultimately ends up breached too!”

”Why panic, as long as the gate remains intact, there’s no trouble. Tiancheng, Tiande, continue slaughtering the wall’s enemy troops; everyone else, follow me to guard the gate!”
