Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Zhang Jingdong lifted Lin Xirui’s delicate chin and continued, ”What Qingyun Technology aims to do in the future is cultivate hundreds or thousands of little Li Mings, and then have them recommend products to their own fans.”

”In fact, there’s no real distinction between social and e-commerce sites. As long as we have enough users, a social site can instantly turn into an e-commerce site, and an e-commerce site can also create an amazing social platform in no time.”

”Remember, our company focuses on only two things: first, gathering as many users as possible; second, doing our best to create great products to earn users’ trust.”

”If we can do these two things well, then our online sales business will continue to grow.”

Lin Xirui nodded thoughtfully, ”I understand, boss. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely follow your instructions and complete my work 100%.”

Hearing this, Zhang Jingdong affectionately gave her a kiss.

”You’re still the best, President Lin. No lies here. Although I’ve had interactions at work with Mr. Yan, Xiao Fei, Susu, and Lawyer Qin, when it comes to mutual understanding and trust, it has to be you!”

Receiving the compliment, Lin Xirui was instantly delighted, but she asked, ”Really?”

”Of course it’s true! This company was founded by the two of us from scratch, so I’m most relaxed here, and everything I do feels extremely smooth. Don’t you feel the same?”

Lin Xirui pouted, ”How would I know? I’ve never seen how you act around them in the company.”

At this, Zhang Jingdong chuckled mischievously, ”You’re the first student I’ve ever given a lecture to in the office. From that alone, you can imagine just how relaxed I am in our company.”

Lin Xirui instinctively glanced at the door and then rolled her eyes at Zhang Jingdong, ”Tch... that’s not exactly something to be proud of, is it?”

”President Lin, don’t you see that having me give you a lecture is a kind of reward for you?”

Looking at Zhang Jingdong’s expression, Lin Xirui thought if she admitted coyly that it was, he wouldn’t get angry, but he might have some slight resentment.

So she quickly thought it through and said, ”That’s not it... it’s just that... okay, to be honest, I actually find it quite thrilling in the office. But sometimes I have a bit of fear, maybe that’s a psychological issue of mine.”

Seeing her admit she also enjoys such things in the office, Zhang Jingdong felt a surge of happiness.

”That’s not a psychological issue; it’s because you haven’t realized one thing: work is actually just a part of our life.”

”None of us were born to work. We were born to experience life. Everything we do is to make our lives better.”

”And the workplace is also a part of our life. Giving lectures is an important part of our life, so when we find out that giving them at work is thrilling and enjoyable, it makes sense for us to do it often.”

Upon noticing a hint of confusion in Lin Xirui’s eyes, Zhang Jingdong continued, ”I know you might think this taints the work, but I want to say that work is not that sacred. That’s just a lie by the capitalists.”

”They promote diligence to make those workers toil harder for them. They preach delayed gratification, but they themselves seize every moment for pleasure.”

”In short, all slogans directed at ordinary people are to drive them to contribute, while the beneficiaries sit back and enjoy the spoils, occasionally mocking everyone.”

”Guo Degang has a famous saying, ’If I don’t go to hell, who will?’.”

”For us, it means we should never glorify those so-called lofty ideals. We should focus on how to be happy every day. Even when working hard, we should find unique joys in our work. Understand?”

Initially, Lin Xirui was a bit taken aback by his words.

She had never heard such statements before, but after giving it some thought, she had to admit that Zhang Jingdong’s words seemed to make sense.

Though she was not extensively knowledgeable, she knew a bit about Li Shen, who wrote ’Plant a seed in spring, harvest many in autumn, fields are never idle, yet farmers die of hunger,’ was actually a corrupt official.

So she secretly nodded, ”…Alright.”

Zhang Jingdong stared at her, ”Do you really get it?”

”…Mm.”

”Then let me test if you’ve truly embraced this idea from the heart…”

He then proceeded to start another lecture.

”Congratulations Host for successfully completing a creative engagement with the target person in a special environment, reward: 2 million yuan!”

Lin Xirui instinctively struggled a little, but seeing Zhang Jingdong’s playful smile, she eventually stopped resisting altogether.

Zhang Jingdong felt secretly delighted and continued while saying in a low voice, ”President Lin, sometimes a small change in thought can make your whole life much brighter and full of interest…”

Over the next half-hour, Zhang Jingdong, intent on making Lin Xirui fully accept his earlier views, employed his top-notch lecturing skills.
