Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

At this moment, Zhang Yuqi was wearing a white cropped short-sleeve top and blue denim shorts, embodying youthful vitality.

Combined with her increasingly star-like pretty face, her charm was no less than that of Xiao Fei.

Upon seeing Chen Hui, she immediately toned down the intensity in her eyes, and casually said, ”Mr. Chen, you’re here too. Boss, I’ll come back to find you later.”

With that, she was about to leave.

Chen Hui, being a master of reading expressions, saw Zhang Jingdong’s gaze on Zhang Yuqi and knew he wasn’t in the mood to chat with him anymore.

He then said, ”Boss, um... I had an urgent matter that I haven’t finished handling. You go ahead and chat with Yuqi; call me if you need anything.”

Zhang Jingdong gave a big mental thumbs up to his old subordinate and nodded, ”Alright, you go ahead.”

Seeing this was indeed the case, Chen Hui swiftly got up and left the office, closing the door behind him.

Zhang Jingdong glanced at Zhang Yuqi and then at the doorway.

Seemingly casual, he said, ”Lock the door. I need to talk to you about something very important.”

A slight blush instantly appeared on Zhang Yuqi’s pretty face.

Mostly because she hadn’t expected Zhang Jingdong to be so bold; now that he had become a real boss, he still dared to take advantage of her in the office.

But he didn’t seem to be joking, so she hesitated briefly before obediently going over and locking the door.

Looking at the girl in her captivating state, Zhang Jingdong pointed at another chair opposite, ”Sit.”

Zhang Yuqi then walked over and sat down slowly.

Zhang Jingdong deliberately maintained his boss demeanor, ”How have you been lately?”

Zhang Yuqi pursed her lips, ”Pretty good. Filming commercials in the morning, taking acting classes in the afternoon, having dinner at my mom’s in the evening. I feel quite fulfilled, just that...”

”Just that sometimes I... I really miss you.”

Zhang Jingdong held back a smile, ”Really, how much do you miss me?”

Zhang Yuqi blinked her beautiful eyes, ”...Very, very much!”

”What do you want to do with me?”

Zhang Yuqi clearly hadn’t expected Zhang Jingdong to ask such a question, and her face turned completely red.

But she knew she had to be bold, otherwise it would be a long time before she’d see him again.

So she said, ”I... I’ll do whatever you want to do.”

Zhang Jingdong felt his heart warm instantly, ”Really?”

Zhang Yuqi made up her mind, ”...Really!”

Zhang Jingdong looked deeply at her, then motioned for her to come closer, ”Come here!”

Zhang Yuqi promptly got up and approached Zhang Jingdong.

Zhang Jingdong pointed at his own lap, ”Sit.”

This time, Zhang Yuqi hesitated not at all, and did as he said.

Zhang Jingdong truly liked her lively spirit and said, ”Any insights from the acting classes recently?”

Zhang Yuqi thought quickly and replied, ”I feel to achieve a high level of acting, you have to continually expand your life experiences.”

”Some things can’t be portrayed through imagination alone. For instance, if I have to play a deaf-mute person, I must live with a deaf-mute person for a while, carefully observing all her life details. That’s how my performance can be genuine and natural.”

”And another thing, learning acting requires real effort. You have to understand important concepts thoroughly. Back in school, I heard teachers say these things, but I only listened, never really remembered them.”

”Now I understand that acting is my weapon for battle. Without a solid foundation, it’s hard to be successful on set.”

Zhang Jingdong felt gratified seeing her so serious and smiled, ”Zhang, it’s great you understand this now. I’m very pleased.”

”As long as you’re willing to learn, I will definitely support you. I believe you’ll become a movie queen in the future!”

Zhang Yuqi loved hearing this from Zhang Jingdong.

It’s not just about receiving compliments from him; she wants to reassure that Zhang Jingdong has confidence in her. This is very important to her right now.

So she said, smiling brightly, ”I will definitely work hard and live up to your expectations of me.”

At this point, Zhang Jingdong moved his foot to spin the chair slightly, then asked, ”Have you watched any good movies lately?”

”Yes, several!”

”Which ones?”

”There’s ’Sophie’s Choice’, ’Kramer vs. Kramer’, ’The Bridges of Madison County’, and ’The French Lieutenant’s Woman’.”

”Seems like you quite like Ms. Mei?”

”Yes, I think her performance is very sophisticated, with an ease of weight.”

”Which one is your favorite among these films?”

”Of course, ’The Bridges of Madison County’.”

”Because it’s the most famous?”

”Partly, but mostly because the story is quite nice and very realistic.”

”I think such a thing can happen even in Huaxia—a woman who has toiled half her life for her family, never considering herself, suddenly meets her love one day, and then becomes brave once for herself.”

Zhang Jingdong rested his hand on her fragrant shoulder, ”So if you were Francesca, would you have a love affair with Robert?”

Zhang Yuqi instinctively wanted to nod due to the emotions in the film, but then she thought of reality and hurriedly shook her head, ”No, because I’ve already found true love. No matter who I might meet in the future, I won’t be unfaithful.”
