Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Half an hour later, they arrived at the Hengjing Hot Spring Resort Hotel.

It’s on the same street as the Maple Forest Building, with only about five or six hundred meters between the two buildings.

Zhang Jingdong completed the check-in at the front desk, then took Lin Shuwan and the others up to the 16th floor by elevator.

After putting their things in room 1616, the three of them headed straight to the 5th floor.

There was a huge children’s playground here.

As soon as Zhang Wenqi saw the various amusement features inside, she couldn’t resist and ran in by herself.

Zhang Jingdong and Lin Shuwan watched for a while, then went to a nearby water bar.

Each ordered a glass of lemonade, sipping and chatting.

Zhang Jingdong glanced at Zhang Wenqi, then said to Lin Shuwan, ”Wan, you and Qiqi should just settle in Jiangdu. I’ll take care of the house and residency for you.”

Lin Shuwan frowned slightly, ”I... I’ve thought about that too, but it’s not possible right now.”

”Why?”

”My parents are in Shuangqing, and they’re both getting on in years. I need to take care of them.”

Zhang Jingdong suddenly understood, ”Okay, then I’ll just visit Shuangqing more often. It’s not far anyway.”

Lin Shuwan hadn’t expected Zhang Jingdong to not only be unbothered but so quickly understanding, even offering to commute between places himself.

Moved, she said, ”Jingdong, thank you for understanding.”

Zhang Jingdong smiled and shook his head, ”Isn’t this just the way it should be? Besides, I love you, don’t I? Loving someone means you care for them unreservedly.”

Saying this, he took Lin Shuwan’s slender hand and kissed it heavily.

This time, Lin Shuwan didn’t mind others’ glances, happily leaning her head on Zhang Jingdong’s shoulder.

Zhang Jingdong stayed with the mother and daughter until almost 4 o’clock, then left the hotel and headed to the Maple Forest Building.

In the past two days, people from Dongsheng Entertainment Company and DL Clothing Design Company had already started moving in.

Zhang Jingdong first headed to the entertainment company’s side.

He sat in his office looking over some documents and then used the desk phone to call Chen Hui.

Soon there was a knock on the door, and Zhang Jingdong casually said, ”Come in!”

The door opened and Chen Hui walked in.

”Boss!”

Zhang Jingdong gestured, ”Sit down.”

Chen Hui came over and sat on the chair opposite him.

”So, how’s the move? Any discomfort?”

Chen Hui shook his head with a smile, ”Not at all. Like everyone else, I’m more excited. After all, this is right in the city center, not only has a river view but also has a much better working environment.”

Zhang Jingdong nodded subtly, ”That’s good. A change of environment brings a change in mood, and a good mood can also improve work efficiency.”

Chen Hui immediately caught the meaning behind Zhang Jingdong’s words, quickly responding, ”Boss, rest assured, you’ve provided us with such a good environment. In the future, we will all work even harder...”

Zhang Jingdong waved his hand, ”That’s not what I’m saying. I want you to understand that now we’re in a high-rise building, we should have a broader vision and more ambitious goals.”

”You know, we’ll be holding the first group strategic meeting in a couple of days to officially establish the group company.”

”By then, I’ll officially propose the big entertainment concept. In the future, the entertainment industry will be one of the key developments for our entire group, and you will be responsible for this big entertainment sector.”

Hearing this, Chen Hui instantly felt more dedicated: ”If you treat me as a national advisor, I will repay you with the same honor.”

To be honest, he had been a bit anxious ever since learning that the big boss Zhang Jingdong planned to form a group company.

Of course, he understood that the entertainment company would be a significant part of the group company, given its profitability alone was not inferior to others.

Especially since Xiao Fei was almost an ATM, generating at least ten to twenty million in revenue for the company monthly, amounting to a billion or two annually.

But what worried Chen Hui was that after forming the group company, the upgrade in the company might also mean that Zhang Jingdong would replace the heads of the subsidiary companies.

Even though he had a good reputation within the music and film circles in Jiangdu, a nation-facing group company would render his current connections and influence insufficient to hold his position, leaving him vulnerable to replacement by Zhang Jingdong.

Despite being the head of the entertainment company, its most profitable artists, such as Xiao Fei and the exceptional twin sisters Lin Xiran and Lin Xirui, were all discovered by Zhang Jingdong, and they shared a very close relationship with him.

So, even if Zhang Jingdong decided to kick him out, he would be powerless to stop it.

But now that Zhang Jingdong had expressed that Chen Hui would continue to lead the entertainment sector, Chen Hui breathed a sigh of relief and was very moved.

He said gratefully, ”Boss, thank you for your trust. I’ll definitely work hard in the future.”

Zhang Jingdong, seeing his excitement, nodded with satisfaction, ”Good, it’s great to see you have such determination.”

”In the future, I’ll continue to increase investments in the entertainment sector, so you need to keep looking for good projects and continue to find talent in the industry. Ultimately, an entertainment company thrives on talent and content.”

Chen Hui agreed wholeheartedly, nodding, ”You’re right, boss. I assure you, I’ll progress steadily in the direction you’ve pointed out.”

The two then chatted for a while longer, when suddenly there was a knock on the door, leaving them both a little surprised.

Normally, people from the company wouldn’t come directly to the big boss’s office.

However, Zhang Jingdong quickly reacted, casually saying, ”Come in!”

Soon, the door opened, and in walked a tall figure.

Zhang Jingdong took a closer look, and it was the bright and adorable 17-year-old Zhang Yuqi.
