Chapter 695: Chapter 300: Career and Chasing Women Both Handled!

Zhang Jingdong saw that Lin Qingci finally agreed, and immediately said, ”I want to use your computer right now to take a look at the website you guys have been working on.”

On Lin Qingci’s desk was a desktop computer, which couldn’t be moved over to Zhang Jingdong.

But given Zhang Jingdong’s earlier performance, and now that he was almost equivalent to a major shareholder in her company, even somehow her boss to an extent.

So Lin Qingci quickly forgot about the awkwardness of having him sit on her side, nodded slowly, ”...Alright.”

Zhang Jingdong immediately stood up and walked over to the inside of the desk.

Although Lin Qingci felt that Zhang Jingdong’s actions were a bit too direct, almost as if he had been planning this.

But there was no way for her to regret now, so she just operated the computer with the mouse a bit, then stood up and let Zhang Jingdong take her place.

Inwardly, Zhang Jingdong felt a surge of joy, but after all, he was an old hand with both theoretical and practical experience, so his expression was serious, almost like a guardian of moral standards.

He naturally sat in her chair, took the mouse, and looked at their website seriously but quickly.

Then he said, ”President Lin, if you think about a college student registering for a social media account and visiting the site daily, feeling uncomfortable if they don’t browse it for a few hours each day, what do you think this social site should fulfill for them?”

Lin Qingci thought it over quickly and said seriously, ”First, they should be able to showcase themselves here and share their lives.”

”Then they should be able to meet new friends here and see other people’s lifestyles.”

Zhang Jingdong saw that Lin Qingci stopped speaking, so he turned to look at her.

Since Zhang Jingdong was sitting while Lin Qingci was standing, his line of sight was almost level with a certain position of Lin Qingci.

Also, because at first glance, Zhang Jingdong determined that Lin Qingci should be a C, he couldn’t help but took a few more looks.

Then he was caught by Lin Qingci.

However, Zhang Jingdong didn’t panic at all and directly asked, ”And then?”

Originally, Lin Qingci wanted to give him a fierce glare, but because she was pondering his question, she forgot.

After thinking it over again, she couldn’t come up with a better answer, because for now, her website only met these two user needs.

Zhang Jingdong saw this and immediately started to guide her, ”Do you think if we allow users to listen to music here, follow trends, and discuss social hot topics, will they spend more time on our site?”

Lin Qingci instantly felt as if her brain had been struck, and said naturally, ”These indeed could...but I know about music, but can you explain the other two more?”

Seeing how quick she grasped it, Zhang Jingdong continued, ”College students are a group that most eagerly pursue social hot topics and trends. Let me give an example, you know Mu Zimei, right?”

Lin Qingci nodded directly, ”I know.”

But she didn’t blush like Lin Xirui and the others had when they heard that name before.

”Why was Mu Zimei able to popularize the blog format almost single-handedly? It’s because she herself became a social hot topic and even created a trend.”

”When college students chat in dorms, if someone doesn’t know about her, they’ll definitely be looked down upon by others.”

”And to avoid being looked down upon, those college students will, afterwards, involuntarily pay attention to all the hot topics on blogs.”

”So similarly, we can also create social hot topics and set trends by nurturing some internet celebrities like Mu Zimei, making all college students understand that if they don’t frequently visit our site, if they’re unaware of the trends and hot topics we create, they’re outdated!”

As Lin Qingci listened to Zhang Jingdong’s words, her eyes grew brighter, but soon after, recalling something, her expression darkened slightly.

”But someone as famous as Mu Zimei is an extremely special case, I’m afraid it would be hard for us to nurture, right?”

Zhang Jingdong shook his head with a smile, ”Do you think Mu Zimei is more famous or Xiao Fei?”

Lin Qingci didn’t hesitate, ”Of course it’s Xiao Fei. Although the internet is very developed now, it still doesn’t have the same influence as television.”

”Xiao Fei was created by me single-handedly. Do you think I have the ability to create a few Mu Zimeis?”

Unlike other women who blindly follow, Lin Qingci said, ”But...those seem like two different things?”

Zhang Jingdong then looked straightforwardly at the beautiful face of the Harvard-educated woman in front of him, ”Then how about we place a bet?”

Lin Qingci hesitated slightly, then looked surprised, ”Bet on what?”

”The first bet: if I can increase the number of users on our site to 10 million within six months, I win. If I’m unable to do so, I lose.”

”The second bet: likewise within six months, if I can nurture at least three internet celebrities comparable to Mu Zimei, I win. If I fail, I lose.”

”If I simultaneously win these two bets, as a punishment, you have to agree to one thing for me. If I lose any of them, then I’ll agree to one thing for you. How about it, do you dare to bet?”

Lin Qingci blinked her beautiful eyes, ”Alright, if you accomplish either of these, our company will reach a very high level, I’ll bet with you!”

”Alright, then let’s place our bets, the bet is set!”

Zhang Jingdong said as he reached out his hand to Lin Qingci.

Lin Qingci hesitated for a moment, then extended her hand to shake his.
