Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 676: Chapter 293: No Man Could Handle This Situation!

Just as the two of them were about to simultaneously stride through the hotel lobby and reach the entrance, two stunning elite beauties in top-tier suits suddenly emerged from the revolving door.

The woman on the left was the renowned Lawyer Qin Yu from Jiangdu, while the one on the right, though slightly less attractive than Qin Yu, clearly had a stronger aura.

Moreover, from the way they walked, it was evident that the latter held the dominant position.

Zhang Jingdong quickly used the system to check her information: Lin Ruotang, beauty score: 90, physique: 91, aura: 95, overall rating: 92.

Tsk tsk, this lady really lives up to her name; she’s as noble and beautiful as a Chinese crabapple flower.

Although Lin Ruotang was stunning, the key issue at hand was how to explain things to Qin Yu, so Zhang Jingdong feigned calm and paused in his steps.

But just as he was about to greet Qin Yu, Lin Ruotang unexpectedly spoke first: ”Jieyu!? Shouldn’t you be at work right now? Why are you here at this place?”

As she said the latter part, she turned somewhat angrily to Zhang Jingdong: ”And who are you? What’s your relationship with Jieyu?”

Hearing this, Zhang Jingdong was instantly left dumbfounded!

Although he was always adept at handling various crises, the current situation was just too freaking complicated!

His woman encountered him with another woman, and they were even coming down from the hotel together.

Additionally, his other girlfriend ran into her mom, and her mom knew his woman.

This...

Come on, Heaven, you’re playing around with me way too harshly!

Seeing Zhang Jingdong stunned, He Jieyu quickly thought for a moment and then said: ”Mom, he... oh no, this is Mr. Zhang from Dongsheng Group. He’s a client of Mr. Yan, and Mr. Yan asked me to pick him up.”

”Right, Mr. Zhang?”

Zhang Jingdong instantly came to his senses, but instead of playing along with He Jieyu’s script, he directly started his own.

He turned to Qin Yu: ”Lawyer Qin, who is this lady?”

Qin Yu, of course, noticed the unusual relationship between Zhang Jingdong and He Jieyu, but given the current situation, she couldn’t expose him, so she replied: ”This is Chairman Lin of Yuling Group.”

”Chairman Lin, this indeed is Mr. Zhang from Dongsheng Group, and as far as I know, their company recently collaborated with Mr. Yan’s Maple Forest Group on the Jinglan Garden project.”

Lin Ruotang had initially been somewhat skeptical after hearing He Jieyu’s introduction, but upon hearing Qin Yu’s words, she immediately believed it.

Moreover, she became intrigued by Zhang Jingdong, recalling who he was.

Yan Ning had mentioned him to her before; she knew he was the owner of the recently booming bar, The One, comparable to a millionaire.

She had even suspected that Yan Ning and he had an unusual relationship.

With this in mind, Lin Ruotang instinctively glanced at Zhang Jingdong again, noting his handsome features and impressive demeanor, and couldn’t help but think it was no wonder he could win Yan Ning’s favor.

Her previously somewhat cold and angry expression softened into a slight smile: ”Oh, that’s how it is. My apologies, Mr. Zhang, for my earlier rudeness. Please don’t take it to heart!”

Zhang Jingdong chuckled lightly, ”No worries, I understand your emotions earlier.”

Afraid of being exposed, He Jieyu said: ”Mom, we’re in a bit of a hurry here, so we’ll be going first!”

Lin Ruotang immediately regained her serious demeanor: ”If Mr. Yan entrusted such an important task to you, it shows she trusts and values you, but next time when you do such things, be sure to consider the impact and propriety.”

He Jieyu nodded obediently: ”I understand, thank you for your guidance. Mr. Zhang, let’s go!”

Zhang Jingdong glanced at Qin Yu and then turned to Lin Ruotang and said: ”President Lin, I’ll take my leave then, goodbye!”

Seeing that although Zhang Jingdong appeared very young, almost as young as He Jieyu, he handled things with great poise and maturity, Lin Ruotang was impressed and said: ”Alright, goodbye!”

As Zhang Jingdong and He Jieyu left the hotel, Lin Ruotang suddenly turned to Qin Yu with a gossipy look: ”Sister, is it true between Mr. Yan and him?”

Qin Yu hesitated for a moment and then said: ”It should be true, but I don’t know exactly how far they’ve gone.”

”And you know Mr. Yan’s temperament; even if something did happen between them, she might not tell us.”

Lin Ruotang nodded thoughtfully: ”Honestly, if it were before, I wouldn’t have believed it, since Mr. Yan doesn’t seem like someone to get involved in a cougar relationship.”

”But after seeing him in person today, I’m inclined to believe it. Even though Mr. Zhang is young, he’s mature in behavior and very handsome, with a good physique too.”

At this point, Qin Yu couldn’t help but tease: ”Sister Lin, from your words, it sounds like you’ve taken a liking to him too?”

”What are you talking about?” Lin Ruotang’s cheeks flushed slightly: ”He already belongs to someone, even if I’m desperate, I wouldn’t choose him!”

”So what if he’s taken? Do you think someone as young and promising as him has only Mr. Yan as a woman?”

Lin Ruotang was taken aback for a moment, then caught on to Qin Yu’s mischievous grin and rolled her eyes: ”Oh, Xiao Yu, how dare you tease me!”

As she spoke, Lin Ruotang grabbed Qin Yu’s delicate hand.

Qin Yu quickly said: ”President Lin, this is a public place, and your hotel, you better not act recklessly!”

”Hmph, it’s not like we haven’t held hands in public before, what’s the big deal? And if Mr. Yan can kiss you, why can’t I take some advantage?”

While the two elegant women bantered, Zhang Jingdong and He Jieyu were already in the car.

He Jieyu let out an exaggerated breath and then sighed: ”That was unbelievably risky, thank goodness you held up, I was shaking a bit back there!”

Zhang Jingdong agreed, ”Your mom’s presence is incredibly strong; your dad must have a really good temperament, huh?”

”They divorced right after I was born.”

Zhang Jingdong was slightly taken aback and turned to He Jieyu: ”You don’t seem to be affected by your parents’ divorce at all.”

”Just got used to it, I guess.”

Zhang Jingdong noticed the flicker of melancholy in He Jieyu’s eyes, and, feeling sorry, he gently ruffled her hair and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

”Don’t worry, from now on, I’ll give you double the love: one as a boyfriend, and one like a father.”

He Jieyu was initially touched, but suddenly sensed something was off: ”Tsk... you’re taking advantage of me!”
