Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 686: Chapter 297: Yan Ning’s Fall

There’s no exaggeration; in Zhang Jingdong’s view, Yan Ning in that robe was just as deadly as her wearing a qipao in the office before.

Noble and elegant, stunningly beautiful, captivating cities, so stunning that fish stop swimming and birds fall from the sky—she embodied all these expressions!

This scene reaffirmed for Zhang Jingdong that Yan Ning was the most beautiful and alluring among all the women in his life right now!

And although Yan Ning was quite pleased with Zhang Jingdong’s expression at the moment, his gaze was too direct and fiery. Finally unable to bear the shyness, she shot him a sideways glance and then turned around to go into the room.

Only then did Zhang Jingdong snap out of it and followed her into the room.

On the large screen on the wall, ”Thelma and Louise” was playing, where one of the heroines, Selma, was having a romantic interaction with Brad Pitt.

Brad Pitt wasn’t famous when this movie was shot, but he was devastatingly handsome, playing the role of a robber.

Yan Ning went straight to the coffee table, where a bottle of red wine and two wine glasses were set.

It was apparent Yan Ning had already had some, as she poured herself a glass and turned to Zhang Jingdong, saying, ”Care for a glass?”

Zhang Jingdong chuckled freely, ”Of course, thank you!”

Yan Ning then poured nearly half a glass for each of them, carried them over, and handed the one in her left hand to Zhang Jingdong.

Taking the glass, Zhang Jingdong couldn’t help but say, ”You’re very special today... even more beautiful than when you were taking pictures in the office before!”

Although pleased by the compliment, Yan Ning feigned indifference, ”It’s nothing special, this is just how I am at home when I’m off work.”

”Is it?”

Zhang Jingdong gazed meaningfully at Yan Ning’s pretty face, ”Maybe it’s because it’s the first time I’m seeing you like this... Next time you should have a robe like this ready in the office too.”

Yan Ning didn’t expect this guy to immediately have naughty thoughts, and she instantly felt a mix of shyness and irritation, ”You... dream on!”

”Doing this at the company... won’t work, your request is too much!”

Zhang Jingdong then reached out and lifted Yan Ning’s chin, ”Is it too much? Mr. Yan, I’m your man now; could you reconsider, please?”

Yan Ning could sense that if she didn’t agree now, Zhang Jingdong might immediately get out of control.

Though not overly afraid of him going overboard now, because when she decided to let him into her bedroom last night, she had actually already made certain decisions in her heart and almost went further with him then.

But she didn’t want him to get impulsive now, as in her core, she was someone who deeply valued ambiance and didn’t like to rush into things.

So she took a carefree sip of red wine and then said, ”Pfft... fine.”

Seeing her agreement, Zhang Jingdong leisurely took a sip of his wine too.

The two then naturally, diligently watched the movie.

Zhang Jingdong had seen this movie in his previous life, and at that time, he really liked the heroine, Louise.

Although she wasn’t a great beauty, she had a carefree spirit that was very alluring.

At this moment, Zhang Jingdong felt that Yan Ning seemed to have this carefree spirit too.

Moreover, among all the women presently, Yan Ning was the one with the strongest sense of principles and self-control.

Though Zhang Jingdong could feel she really liked him, he also noted that she didn’t idolize him like the other women did, as she always had her own goals and plans in life.

Such women often possess unparalleled attraction to men and can ignite a man’s strongest desire for conquest.

Thinking of this, Zhang Jingdong glanced at Yan Ning.

She was still engrossed in the movie, which allowed him to admire her nearly perfect profile seamlessly.

He wanted badly to kiss her but feared ruining the beautiful moment. So, he forcibly held back, turning back to continue watching the movie.

Not long after, a slight blush appeared on Yan Ning’s profile.

She took another sip of red wine.

For the next hour or so, Zhang Jingdong quietly accompanied Yan Ning watching the movie.

He didn’t utter a word to her nor made any inappropriate moves.

Yan Ning was a bit surprised, even slightly disappointed, but secretly credited Zhang Jingdong for this.

Firstly, she found Zhang Jingdong to be a great companion for watching movies.

She had always watched movies alone, and now suddenly felt that watching with someone added to the atmosphere.

To be honest, she did have some concern earlier, afraid that Zhang Jingdong might seize the opportunity while watching the movie.

While she could accept it, she didn’t like it in her heart. She felt it was a desecration of art.

Unexpectedly, Zhang Jingdong behaved remarkably, and she greatly appreciated this unspoken understanding between them.

Secondly, when watching the movie, she had sneakily glanced at Zhang Jingdong twice, finding him attractive when he focused on the movie.

Most women are visual creatures, no matter how aloof or proud; they can’t escape this trait, as human nature loves beautiful things.

Especially when her man is already exceptional in other areas, if he’s also good-looking, she’ll find him utterly irresistible!

At some moment, she even wanted to take the initiative and kiss him.

Soon, as the two heroines drove into the abyss, the movie concluded.

Zhang Jingdong then turned to look at Yan Ning, full of admiration, ”A good movie truly stands the test of time. I’ve watched ’Thelma and Louise’ three or four times before, and it’s still captivating now.”
