The Evolution Of A Goblin To The Peak

Chapter 1329: Geat Shen Empire: The Overwhelming Gerxuzs

From their earlier exchanges, Green King had already analyzed Gerxuzs’s abilities. His physical strength was overwhelming almost absurdly so. It was as if he could simply brute-force his way through anything standing in his path.

‘My Archetype is slowly affecting him… Using this much power is quite taxing, but I have to keep this up. Otherwise, I’ll be the one who suffers.’

Green King narrowed his eyes as he shifted his body to the side.

In the next second, a flaming beam tore through his previous position.

‘So close.’

He muttered inwardly as he flew higher, while Gerxuzs continued firing powerful attacks in every direction.

‘Once I see an opportunity, I’ll grasp it.’

Green King clenched both fists tightly as he silently activated several combat arts and spells, consuming a portion of his mana in the process.

‘Oh? He didn’t detect it?’

The energy fluctuations produced by his skills had gone completely unnoticed by Gerxuzs.

There was only one explanation.

Gerxuzs had fallen even deeper into the hypnosis.

‘I’ll probe him once again.’

Green King was about to make his move when he suddenly felt the flow of energy around him change.

‘Hmm?’

His expression shifted.

An immense surge of energy erupted from Gerxuzs, far greater than anything he had displayed before.

“I, who shall awaken…”

A fearsome voice resounded across the battlefield.

Green King’s body shuddered.

A primal sense of danger assaulted his senses, causing his pupils to constrict.

He slowly looked down at the monster below.

Gerxuzs looked like an ancient beast that had just opened its eyes.

Green King remembered this feeling.

It was the same feeling he had experienced back then, when Gerxuzs fought one of the Heroes of the Gluttony Army.

“I have to stop this!”

Green King hurriedly kicked off the air, launching himself toward his opponent at an extremely fast speed.

Swoooosh!!

The chant continued.

“…am the monster who will destroy every creation.”

“I seek obliteration and laugh at the Sins.”

Gerxuzs bent his body, and a pair of wings sprouted from his back. The wings were made of pure black bones, each one lined with razor-sharp edges as flames and frost energy swirled around them.

He lifted his head and gazed straight at the approaching Green King.

“…?!”

Green King froze when his eyes met Gerxuzs’.

He knew one thing for certain now.

Gerxuzs could see his real body.

That brief moment of distraction proved fatal.

It lasted for only a fraction of a second, yet for experts at their level, that was more than enough to change the tide of battle.

Ugh!!

A massive fist slammed into his stomach and sank deep into his abdomen.

Green King felt his organs twist violently as his body was launched several kilometers away.

BANG!!

“I mock the Commandments and step on the Zodiacs.”

Gerxuzs’ body grew larger as dense energy gathered around his skin. A dark exoskeleton formed over his body, its surface covered in dark golden patterns that suddenly lit up.

He kicked off the air and chased after Green King.

“The ancients blessed the world while I watched them suffer.”

“I bless nothing.”

“The Imperium watched me as I walked the Path.”

Gerxuzs appeared in front of Green King.

He opened his hand, and the enormous club flew into his palm.

Green King immediately crossed his arms as thousands of lightning bolts gathered around him, forming several thick layers of barriers.

Gerxuzs swung his arm.

The massive club descended with overwhelming force, smashing through the layers of lightning barriers one after another.

BOOM!!

“I shall become the Monster of Obliteration.”

“None shall escape my grasp. Obliteration is in my hands.”

Gerxuzs swung his weapon again.

A tremendous wave of bluish flames erupted from the club, surging forward like a monstrous tide.

It swept across everything in its path, swallowing the surroundings in a sea of destruction.

Green King didn’t back down.

He gritted his teeth as a spear of lightning formed in his hand.

With a roar, he thrust it forward, meeting Gerxuzs’ attack head-on.

Swoooosh!!

For a moment, there was silence.

BOOOMMM!!

A deafening explosion erupted as lightning and flames collided, surging outward in every direction. The air convulsed violently, and the fabric of space shattered beneath the overwhelming might of the two terrifying attacks.

The ground, already reduced to ruins, was wiped away once more. Hundreds of meters of layer of soils, rocks, and bedrocks were obliterated in an instant, evaporating beneath the sheer force of the collision.

From outside the battlefield, the enormous lightning array stretching across ten kilometers could be seen rupturing at its center.

A violent burst of energy tore upward from the impact point, climbing into the sky before spreading outward and forming a gigantic umbrella of flames and frost.

“GERXUZS CROSVAR!!”

A thunderous declaration of his name resounded across the battlefield.

The voice reverberated for several kilometers, shaking the air with its sheer force.

Ohm!

At the center of the raging energy storm stood a twenty-meter-tall humanoid figure, his limbs thick enough to dwarf an elephant’s legs.

Black exoskeleton covered his massive frame, jagged plates of bone locking into place as his body violently reshaped itself. Golden patterns blazed across the armor, while his crimson eyes gleamed with merciless radiance.

Behind him, a pair of enormous skeletal wings unfolded with a bone-chilling groan. Bluish flames poured from between the jagged bones, freezing the surrounding air and leaving trails of frost in their wake.

The opposing forces intertwined around his body without canceling each other out.

Instead, they distorted the space around him.

The air trembled.

Space rippled and warped beneath the pressure of his presence, as though the world itself was struggling to contain him.

Ohm!

Green King felt goosebumps spread across his entire body.

His pupils contracted when he saw Gerxuzs’ transformed form.

Green King gritted his teeth and pressed a palm against his stomach. His organs still twisted painfully from their previous exchange.

“He’s much stronger than before.”

The energy field surrounding Gerxuzs was terrifying. An Eight Shackle Realm expert could be severely injured simply by approaching him.

Green King took a deep breath.

Lightning gathered throughout his entire body, crackling violently across his skin.

[Archetype: Mind Breaking Lightning Array]!

[Fifth Form: Thunderous Sense Armor]!

On top of that, Green King activated his equipment skill and every remaining skill at his disposal. He couldn’t afford to hold anything back against this monster. If he did, he could very well die within the next few moments.

Suddenly, Green King widened his eyes.

Gerxuzs had appeared directly in front of him, his enormous club already swinging toward his face.

Green King reacted on instinct. He raised his arm to block while simultaneously thrusting his left foot forward.

BANG!!

An immense force slammed into his arm, nearly breaking his guard apart, while he poured all his strength into the kick.

In the next instant, both figures were sent flying in opposite directions.

They recovered almost immediately.

Without hesitation, they launched themselves at each other again.

The two figures clashed fiercely in midair, traversing the land as their battle carried them across mountains and vast stretches of ruined terrain. Every collision unleashed catastrophic shockwaves that tore through the surroundings.

BOOM!! BOOM!!

“SEE?! YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU TRY!! YOU ARE WORTHY OF BEING MY PREY!!”

Gerxuzs’ voice thundered through the chaos of their clash.

A bolt of lightning suddenly crashed into his body, dragging him several kilometers across the ground.

Gerxuzs dug his feet into the earth and tightened his grip on his weapon before swinging the massive club.

BANG!

The club smashed the lightning apart.

Before he could react, Green King appeared in front of him and drove a devastating punch into his face.

CRACK!!

The impact shattered the space around his fist.

“AHHHHH!!!”

Green King roared with all his might, pouring everything he had into every attack.

BOOM!! BOOM!!

The two continued their furious clash.

Their figures flashed across the battlefield at blinding speeds, appearing and disappearing through the air as thunderous explosions erupted in their wake.

Only a minute had passed, yet the number of blows they had exchanged was astronomical.

Their blood had been scattered across the entire battlefield.

BANG!!

The two separated, landing several hundred meters away from each other.

They stared at one another, both recognizing the dire state of their bodies.

Deep wounds covered them from head to toe, blood gushing from their injuries without pause. Their breathing was heavy, while their energy fluctuations had plummeted.

Gerxuzs still wore a huge smile on his face.

His black exoskeleton was stained crimson, while his massive arms trembled from the countless attacks he had endured.

“This is good.”

Excitement gleamed in his eyes.

He didn’t care whether he lived or died, so long as he could enjoy the process of hunting or being hunted.

Swooosh!

On the opposite side, Green King clenched his fists tightly as green lightning crackled around his battered body.

His condition was just as dire.

His body was riddled with injuries, and he had very little energy left. Unleashing his Archetype attacks one after another had drained an enormous amount of his reserves.
