The Evolution Of A Goblin To The Peak

Chapter 1165: The Demon: Blood Lightning Monster

”ARGH!!!”

”For the Emperor!!!”

”Kill!!”

The battlefield erupted into chaos. Spells clashed in the air like falling stars, and combat arts tore through the earth. Explosions shook the ground, sending waves of dust and blood into the sky. The screams of the dying merged with the roar of battle, forming a single, deafening symphony of war.

”Fight!!”

”Kill them all!!”

Eztein stood amidst the carnage, his eyes sweeping over the endless sea of combatants. Humans, demis, and monsters—creatures of every kind—were locked in a struggle that shook the skies themselves. Their powers illuminated the field in a storm of color and destruction.

”So this is it...” Eztein muttered under his breath.

A sudden flash—he sensed it. He turned just in time to see countless bolts of lightning streaking toward him, their blinding glow cutting through the smoke. Eztein launched himself into the air, the ground exploding beneath his feet as the lightning struck where he had just stood.

He landed lightly, sliding back as he began to retreat toward the Guardian Fortress. Each step he took was marked by a slash of his weapon, cutting down any enemy that dared approach.

Franklin, Amanda, Yuko, and the others mirrored his movements, falling back with precise coordination. Farther behind them, the members of the Dragon Council did the same, having already received the signal.

No one noticed.

The battlefield was a maelstrom of madness. Two armies clashed in blind fury—the monstrous horde that had descended from nowhere and the united forces who sought to destroy the Blood Lightning Monster.

At the frontlines, Alice and Vashno still fought with relentless ferocity.

They were among the most dazzling figures under the Blood Lightning Monster’s banner—their power unmatched, their presence unmistakable. If they were to suddenly retreat, the entire battlefield would turn its gaze upon them.

Alice glanced at Vashno and asked, ”Can you still fight?”

”Yeah...” Vashno replied, his chest rising and falling heavily with each breath.

”Let’s hold on a little longer,” Alice said firmly.

Vashno nodded without hesitation.

Just a little longer—that was all they needed. Victory wasn’t their goal. Survival was.

Alice’s golden eyes flicked toward the outer edge of the [Five Elements Barrier Formation], where Souta and the others were still engaged.

The energy surging from that direction was terrifying—violent ripples of power tearing through space itself. Even from this distance, she could feel the crushing pressure. They had to be facing multiple Hero-rank opponents.

Boom!!

The ground heaved like a living beast as the monstrous horde advanced—a tide of claws, fangs, and corrupted flesh. Towering ogres swung clubs the size of ancient trees, their roars drowning the clash of metal and cries of the wounded. Packs of wolf-like beasts darted beneath their feet, ripping through soldiers with frenzied precision. Overhead, winged horrors shrieked as they circled, their vast shadows blotting out the sun.

Then came a single, thunderous horn blast.

The signal.

The horde surged forward.

The very land trembled as tens of thousands of monsters charged, flew, and thundered across the plain—a living storm of fury and hunger. The sky dimmed as human archers released their first volley.

Arrows rained down in black waves, slicing through the front ranks of beasts. Screams and roars echoed as the ground turned crimson. Catapults followed, hurling blazing boulders that exploded amid the tide, scattering bodies and limbs in violent bursts of fire and smoke.

The battlefield became a world of chaos and blood—a war where the heavens and the earth themselves seemed to rage.

Still, they came.

The collision was apocalyptic. The front lines exploded into chaos as monsters slammed into shields with bone-cracking force. Spears splintered. Men screamed. The field dissolved into a storm of steel and flesh. Whole squads were swept aside by charging ogres, their colossal clubs hurling men through the air like shattered dolls. Yet for every soldier crushed beneath the tide, another stepped forward—gritting their teeth, locking shields, and pushing back against the storm.

Even the sky seemed to rage with them. Fireballs streaked overhead, roaring through clouds of smoke before detonating among the airborne fiends. Bolts of lightning carved through the heavens, striking down clusters of winged beasts that fell shrieking into the blood-soaked ranks below.

But the monsters answered in kind. Dark sorceries tore through the air—black fire that devoured light, venomous storms that melted flesh, and curses that withered men where they stood.

The world had become chaos incarnate.

High above it all, Souta stood in the air, silently observing the carnage below. The scale of this battle had surpassed the scale of the war in the Hall of Plains before.

”Let me make it clear.”

His voice rolled across the battlefield like thunder. Souta tightened his grip on his sword, and his energy surged outward in a violent eruption. Crimson lightning crackled around him, painting the sky in blood and fury.

Countless monsters below turned their eyes upward.

And in that moment, they gazed upon him not as an enemy—

but as something to be worshipped.

In the next instant, he vanished.

Swoosh!!

Amid the storm of steel and monstrous roars, a single figure emerged—cutting a crimson path through the chaos. His armor seemed forged from living flesh and blood, pulsing faintly with an eerie light. Around him, four spider-like limbs hovered and spun, their razor edges glinting like predators poised to strike. They moved in perfect sync with the faint twitch of his fingers, guided by the unyielding will burning in his eyes.

The first limb shot forward like lightning, impaling an expert clean through the throat before curving away to split another’s skull. The second swept wide in a gleaming arc, severing the arm of a charging warrior before cleaving straight through his chest. The third and fourth danced like wolves in the hunt—crossing paths midair to sever tendons and bring down a towering brute in a spray of blood and dust.

Every motion was precise. Ruthless. Absolute.

Souta tore through the battlefield, his presence a storm of crimson slaughter. In mere seconds, hundreds fell beneath his assault—their deaths nothing more than sparks in the inferno he unleashed.

He would have continued, driven by that insatiable thirst for battle—

—but then the air trembled.

Boom!! Boom!!

Powerful auras flared all around him as multiple Seventh Shackle Realm experts descended at once. Their arrival ripped through the battlefield in a cascade of destruction, the impact alone erasing everything nearby in a wave of light and force.

The ground quaked. The sky shuddered.

And in the heart of the devastation, Souta stood unmoved—his blade dripping red, his eyes burning with violent purpose.

”Blood Lightning Monster!!”

”Today, you will fall!!”

They recognized him instantly. That form—the crimson armor, the lightning that bled through the sky—was the same one Souta had used to slay a monster far beyond his level. It was a form of overwhelming, almost unnatural power. None of them dared face it alone.

They had already accepted the truth.

He was no longer just a mere fourth stage. He was equivalent to a fifth-stage monster.

”Come at me,” Souta growled, his voice crackling with static. ”Show me what you’ve got.”

Then he moved.

The sky screamed.

Blood-colored lightning tore open the heavens and struck the ground in a storm of fury. Darkness and blood intertwined, swirling into a tempest that devoured the land. The air itself became a weapon, vibrating with destructive energy.

When the two sides collided, the world convulsed. The sheer pressure between them birthed explosions of energy that shredded everything nearby.

Boom!! Boom!!

”No—!!”

”Run!!”

The nearby experts felt the crushing weight of the battle pressing down on their souls. The air was thick with death. One by one, they broke and fled, terrified that even the aftershocks could erase them from existence.

High above the battlefield, Souta soared through the sky, five Seventh Shackle Realm experts in hot pursuit. His eyes narrowed as his bloodlust surged.

He raised one hand—

—and the four spider limbs shot forward, streaking through the air like red lightning.

Swoosh!!

One of the five experts stepped forward to meet them, twin daggers flashing. His hands blurred, creating a wall of steel that deflected the first volley—but sparks flew as the impact sent cracks rippling through his weapons.

The other four charged at Souta from every direction, their movements synchronized, their auras blazing.

Souta smirked.

He kicked the air, twisting sharply as he dove beneath them. Energy gathered at his palm, pulsing crimson.

[Bestrou]!!

A barrage of scarlet blasts erupted upward, painting the sky in lines of destruction.

”Watch out!” one of the experts shouted.

The four scattered instantly, weaving through the blasts as the attacks exploded in waves of light and blood.

And then—

In a single heartbeat—they closed the distance, weapons raised, eyes burning.

Their charge met the Blood Lightning Monster head-on.

”Don’t give him a chance!” one of them shouted desperately.

Souta’s lips curled into a grim smile.

”Too late.”

He raised his sword and the world erupted.

Countless arcs of blood-colored lightning burst from the blade, each one howling like a living thing. The air crackled and screamed as the ground below split apart from the sheer intensity of his power.

[Archetype: Great Blood of the End]!

[First Form: Lifeless Tribulation of the Blood Lightning]!

The four experts’ eyes widened in horror. Every instinct in their bodies screamed danger—but it was already too late. They were too close. There was no time to run, no space to breathe.

”Hold on!” one of them cried.

They threw everything into their defenses—shields of energy, layers of reinforced mana, anything that might keep them alive.

And then Souta’s blade fell.

The world was swallowed by crimson light.

The slash ripped through the air, a storm of blood and lightning devouring everything in its path. The full might of Souta’s Archetype was unleashed—raw, merciless, absolute.

BOOM!!

The shockwave tore through the battlefield. The sky split open, the land quaked, and the clouds above ignited with red lightning. The four experts screamed as the force slammed into them, their defenses shattering like glass. Flesh split, armor melted, and blood sprayed across the wind.

In the next moment, they were flung away—

their bodies hurled for kilometers in four different directions, carving smoking trails across the ground.

The battlefield fell silent for a heartbeat.

Then the thunder followed.

The world trembled beneath the Blood Lightning Monster’s power.
