The Evolution Of A Goblin To The Peak

Chapter 1116 Fall

Souta looked around.

There was no one in the Sixth Shackle Realm who could match his current strength.

No one.

He had absolute confidence in his power.

Raising his hand, countless droplets of blood floated into the air, each one swiftly transforming into a sharp spear.

With a simple gesture, the spears shot out in every direction, targeting the nearby titans.

Whoosh!

Souta spread his arms wide. Shadows stirred around him and surged forward, launching a coordinated assault on the titans.

The titans were being slain one by one, powerless against such overwhelming strength.

Alice, Arvidal, and Vashno watched as Souta unleashed his assault, swiftly eliminating the titans in the air.

”Letʼs go. Thereʼs no need to worry about the titans blocking our path with Souta here,” Alice said.

Vashno nodded in agreement.

Arvidal silently concurred. The power Souta displayed was terrifying—far beyond normal.

It was unnatural.

High above, Souta floated calmly.

ʼFor a quest with this kind of reward, my strength is more than enough to sweep through,ʼ he thought, glancing once more at the raging battle in the sky.

After all, his mission was simply to escort Arvidal. Defeating the titans guarding him had been easy. The real danger lay above—where Hero-ranks clashed with all their might.

Souta guarded Arvidal, Alice, and Vashno as they made their way out of Calm River County.

They had already traveled a fair distance when Souta suddenly opened his eyes, a chill running down his spine.

”Wait!”

He turned around, his energy surging rapidly—an instinctive reaction to the approach of a formidable presence.

”Whatʼs wrong, Souta?” Alice asked, noticing the shift in his expression.

”Go on ahead. Someoneʼs coming,” Souta said, waving his hand.

”Someone...?” Alice murmured, her eyes narrowing. ʼIf heʼs that serious, then it must be...ʼ

She turned and gestured for Vashno and Arvidal to continue moving forward.

They had reached the border of Calm River County. Soon, they would be out of the battlefield—they just needed to keep moving.

Noticing the tension on their faces, Arvidal asked, ”Is something wrong?”

”No, but there will be... Still, you donʼt need to worry. Souta will take care of it,” Alice replied.

”For now, letʼs pick up the pace. Weʼre close to our destination,” Vashno added.

Souta felt the three of them moving farther away. He continued to release his aura, masking the energy signatures of Alice, Vashno, and Arvidal.

Moments after they departed, a massive aura descended upon the area.

Bang!!

A massive figure shot through the air and halted in front of Souta.

”Oh? A giant…” Souta raised an eyebrow.

Hovering in midair was a towering figure with crimson skin and an enormous build. The aura radiating from him was overwhelming—far beyond the level of a Sixth Shackle Realm fighter.

This was a Seventh Shackle Realm combatant.

A Hero-rank expert.

”So, a Hero-rank giant was hiding here all along. I didnʼt expect that,” Souta said with a grin, eyes fixed on the colossal warrior.

The giant remained composed, his gaze sweeping over the area before settling on Souta.

”Blood Lightning Monster… Iʼve heard your name before. I didnʼt expect to meet you here,” the giant said.

”What do you want?” Souta asked.

”Nothing. What Iʼm looking for isnʼt here anymore,” the giant replied before turning around and flying away.

Whoosh!!

Souta watched the giantʼs retreating figure, a deep frown on his face.

ʼThat oneʼs dangerous… The energy surrounding him feels unreal,ʼ Sayaʼs voice echoed in his mind.

”I know. He could probably push me to go all out,” Souta replied calmly.

ʼDonʼt you want to fight him?ʼ Saya asked.

”Well, heʼs definitely special. I have a feeling weʼll meet again—soon, if he joins the war,” Souta said, his eyes narrowing. ”Besides, Iʼm planning to take on Hero-rank missions next. Itʼs the only way to boost my merits.”

Missions for the Sixth Shackle Realm were far too easy for him now. And the Athenʼs Champion already knew the extent of his strength—they wouldnʼt waste it on lower-level tasks.

The giants had emerged.

Now, both titans and giants were joining forces against Olympus. The battlefield was bound to grow even more chaotic from here on.

...

Arvidal was successfully escorted out of Calm River County. Souta and the others completed their mission as the battle raged on. More and more warriors joined the fray until the titan settlement was finally brought down.

But the victory came at a heavy price.

Athenʼs Champion suffered severe losses—three Seventh Shackle Realm warriors and one Eighth Shackle Realm warrior had fallen. It was a devastating blow. Hero-ranks were the pinnacle of combat strength within a Godʼs Legion. In fact, across all nations, the death of a Hero-rank was a major loss.

And as the battle in Calm River County came to an end, shocking news began to spread throughout Olympus...

One of the Gods of Olympus had fallen in battle—ambushed by a powerful Titan God and a Giant God.

His death unleashed a massive surge of divine energy, bathing the land in chaos.

The news shook warriors across the continent. No one had expected a God to perish—not now. It was a loss far greater than that of any Hero-rank. It sent shockwaves through every legion.

In the Bound Camp...

Souta frowned as he received the report.

”A God-rank being has already fallen...” he muttered under his breath.

In the days that followed, the higher-ups accelerated their plans. Arvidal appeared in public, making a rare statement as he rallied titans who desired peaceful coexistence with other races.

Their group expanded at a visible rate.

Olympus promised them land where they could live—but it wasnʼt given freely. In return, they had to join the war and fight against their fellow titans.

...

A week had passed since the battle in Calm River County.

Alice had made notable progress, and Vashno had successfully broken through to the Sixth Shackle Realm. Both of them had grown significantly stronger in a short span of time.

”Both of you have reached the Sixth Shackle Realm... The Seventh is still a ways off, but youʼll get there soon,” Souta said, nodding at the two of them.

”I know. I still have a lot of skills I need to refine,” Alice replied with determination.

”Same here,” Vashno agreed.

With their breakthroughs, both had become some of the top combatants in the Astros. A Sixth Shackle Realm warrior was already a rare force in Hall Plains. But Hall Plains was only the beginning. Now that the world was descending into chaos, they had no choice but to keep pushing their strength further.

Nevertheless, Souta was satisfied with their progress.

The three of them left the training ground.

Looking around the camp, the atmosphere was surprisingly peaceful. Warriors strolled about, chatting and smiling.

”Itʼs quite lively today,” Alice muttered.

”There arenʼt any major battles nearby, so the warriors have some free time,” Vashno explained.

”Relaxation isnʼt bad. It helps lift the spirits of the troops,” Souta said.

A few warriors approached and nodded respectfully at Souta before moving on.

”Right now, major battles are raging in other parts of Olympus,” Alice added.

Souta glanced at Alice before replying, ”Well, you can leave those battles to the Godʼs Legions in those territories. Weʼre part of Athenʼs Champion, so for now, we only need to focus on the Land of Eternal Spring. Weʼll be dispatched to different lands once the titans here are defeated.”

But deep down, he knew that was unlikely.

”I see... What about the territory of the God who was slain?” Alice asked.

”That area was completely overrun by titans. Reinforcements... well, the higher-ups are tied up on other battlefields, so no one can get there in time,” Souta said quietly.

He shrugged and added, ”No need to worry about it for now. Just finish your training. Itʼs time to relax a little.”

”Sure,” Alice nodded.

”Letʼs head over there. There are plenty of people whoʼve set up various stalls,” Souta said, pointing in a certain direction.

Vashno, who had been listening to their conversation, looked at them and said, ”You two go ahead. Iʼve got something I need to take care of.”

”Are you sure?” Souta asked.

”Yeah, somethingʼs caught my interest these past few days,” Vashno replied with a nod.

Without waiting for a response, he disappeared into the crowd. Souta and Alice watched his retreating back for a moment.

Souta shrugged. ”Alright, letʼs go.”

The two of them set off, wandering through the camp.

...

The next day, the three of them took on a few missions. They completed them easily since they only involved slaying some low-level titans.

There were no major battles in the region, as the higher-ups were still finalizing their plans.

The giants had officially joined the war, siding with the titans. As a result, Olympus halted further offensives and focused on defending their bases over the past few days.

Many warriors who had survived previous battles had grown stronger, thanks to the continuous support and resources from Olympus. Some showed incredible potential, while others—great warriors—had fallen in combat.

Both sides suffered heavy casualties.
