The Evolution Of A Goblin To The Peak

Chapter 1145: The Demon: Power of No God Emperor

The entire sky darkened, followed by countless bolts of lightning crashing down from above.

A scarlet net spread across the heavens—then shattered into countless fragments that rained down over the Hall Plains.

Arzona narrowed his eyes, sensing the shift in the atmosphere.

”Mountain of Demise... Heaven’s Sealing Mountain,” Esquin muttered.

It had shattered.

Which could only mean one thing:

The being that was sealed... had been released.

No God Emperor.

Ohm!!

The strange phenomenon unfolding above the Hall Plains drew the attention of countless Gods.

They gazed upon the scarlet fragments scattering through the sky, each one radiating waves of powerful energy in every direction.

The Gods watching from afar were shaken. They could feel the divine pressure tearing through the land as the Mountain of Demise broke through the clouds like a blade.

”Damn it, that being is free!”

”It’s another calamity! This land will become another three theaters!”

”This is bad!”

They immediately recalled the current state of the other three theaters, where a terrifying monster lord was battling several Gods simultaneously.

And now, another disaster was awakening right before their eyes.

Even though the Lord of Wood was fighting the Gods alone, her territory continued to expand, growing stronger with each passing day.

The same could happen here.

A wave of unease rippled across the land.

An indescribable dread crept into everyone’s hearts.

The legend of the No God Emperor was absolute.

Swoosh!!

At the peak of the Mountain of Demise, a figure slowly rose.

”Ah... this air, this mana. It’s been thousands of years.”

A man with long white hair spread his arms wide. Tattoos adorned his right arm. His eyes were cold and reptilian, and silver scales lined his cheeks. Fangs protruded slightly from his mouth, and the energy surrounding him defied reason—it felt ancient, divine, and monstrous all at once.

Thump!!

A single heartbeat echoed.

A heartbeat strong enough to shake the very fabric of space.

He was the No God Emperor.

After a brief silence, he slowly turned his head, his gaze locking onto Arzona.

Arzona subconsciously took a step back.

He wasn’t unfamiliar with the legend of the No God Emperor. In fact, nearly every God-rank being knew of the legendary existence now standing before him.

Esquin eyed the No God Emperor. He opened his mouth and said,

”Who would have thought you’d emerge like this? I was the one who invited you—”

His words were cut short.

The No God Emperor casually swiped his hand.

[Spatial Incineration of the Great World]!!

A titanic wave of energy flashed across the sky. Both land and heavens trembled as a torrent of best feram erupted like a volcano. Every being in the Hall Plains was forced to their knees. The air cracked, and a sound like shattering glass echoed across the land.

Esquin’s eyes narrowed.

And in the next instant, brilliant light consumed his entire body.

Boom!!

At the base of the Mountain of Demise, Souta gritted his teeth, struggling to resist the pressure. Every muscle fiber in his body screamed in agony.

This—

This was the true power of the No God Emperor.

The power he had shown while possessing Yenxa’s body wasn’t even one percent of this.

Meanwhile, Alice and the others stared at the sky, eyes wide with disbelief.

”I’ve never seen this kind of power...!!” Eztein muttered, stunned.

”It’s my first time seeing a God actually make a move!” Franklin said, visibly shocked.

Vashno remained silent.

He had once felt the pressure of Goddess Athena’s power from afar—but he had never dared get close. Doing so would’ve meant certain death. This... this was the first time he was witnessing such divine force up close.

”Souta...” Alice whispered, her voice filled with concern.

In the sky, a massive rift had opened—visible to the naked eye and stretching across thousands of kilometers. Fragments of space were falling like shards of glass as the very fabric of reality trembled. Violent flashes of energy surged and crackled within the rift.

Everyone in the Hall Plains and even those far beyond saw the terrifying sight.

The No God Emperor stood in the air with calm composure.

He spoke, his voice cutting through the air: ”You can speak to me... if you bring your real body here.”

That’s right. The Ruler of Gluttony’s subordinates had approached him once before, offering a proposal to release him from his seal.

But the No God Emperor had rejected it because he already knew exactly how and when he would return.

Arzona stared at the massive rift in the sky, a sinking feeling growing in his chest.

This was bad.

Even the other Gods who were watching from afar understood now—No God Emperor’s power was real. The legends about him were no exaggeration.

The No God Emperor slowly turned his head, and his voice thundered across the heavens:

”In my name, Altainus, I forbid any Gods from interfering in the matter concerning the Blood Lightning Monster! If any of you dare move, you shall face my wrath! Let mortals deal with mortals. Until this is resolved—I will watch.”

His words were aimed directly at the Gods preparing to act.

If they intervened, they would face him, the No God Emperor.

They had no choice now. Only mortals could be sent to pursue Souta.

Many Gods slowly backed away.

They would only act once they were certain they could avoid the wrath of the No God Emperor.

It became clear to them that the No God Emperor didn’t truly care about the Blood Lightning Monster’s life or death. Freeing him was merely the condition for breaking the seal. After this matter was resolved, the No God Emperor wouldn’t interfere even if they decided to strike down the Blood Lightning Monster.

...

Far away, in an unknown location...

The Ruler of Gluttony, Esquin, sat on a throne with his eyes closed. After a long moment, he opened them and glanced in the direction of the Hall Plains.

”So... the No God Emperor has finally broken free. That’s good since it’ll draw the attention of the Holy Lands. That means I’ll have more room to move.”

Esquin stood up and stretched his arms.

”The demons... They’ll never give up. Things are going to get more chaotic and that chaos is exactly what I need.”

With a stomp, shadows surged from beneath his feet and swallowed him whole.

...

Heavenly Demon Palace

The Great Demon Emperor Lucifer rested his chin on his hand, deep in thought. He was well aware of what had transpired on the Gods’ Continent.

”No God Emperor...”

He understood just how dangerous that being was. A powerful entity without allegiance—like the Ruler of Gluttony—was difficult to handle. They could appear anywhere, strike without warning, and slowly chip away at their enemies’ forces before vanishing without a trace.

If he were to fight the No God Emperor, even he couldn’t say who would emerge victorious. Worse, if the No God Emperor decided to retreat, there was little Lucifer could do to stop him, unless it happened within the Heavenly Demon Palace itself.

”Tell Arzona to back down. He will perish if he fights him,” Lucifer ordered calmly. ”Just send more demons. It won’t change anything. But if that still doesn’t work... I will go there myself.”

With a wave of his hand, Lucifer closed his eyes. He had spoken. If his subordinates failed to fulfill their mission, then he would personally see it through.

...

Hall Plains

The No God Emperor looked down and smiled. ”I’ve done my part. Now it’s time for you to show everyone! As I’ve said before! Create history! Right here! Right now! I shall witness it!”

He remained suspended in the air, calmly overseeing everything happening in the Hall Plains. There was nothing beyond his perception—no movement or presence could escape his awareness.

”I wonder how you’ll overcome these challenges.”

At the foot of the Mountain of Demise, Souta slowly stood up upon hearing the No God Emperor’s voice.

He took a deep breath and gripped the vajra sword tightly in his hand. As he stepped forward, he suddenly felt a presence ahead.

Souta stopped in his tracks and narrowed his eyes.

’Souta, be careful... The No God Emperor will prevent any Gods from interfering, but that doesn’t mean he’ll stop mortals who are close to God-rank.’ Saya’s voice echoed in his mind.

”I know...” Souta muttered.

A figure stood not far from him. It bore an appearance strikingly similar to his and emanated the unmistakable aura of a fifth evolution stage being.

”A fifth stage...” Souta muttered.

There was no mistaking it. The figure radiated the aura of a fifth-stage monster.

The two stood calmly, carefully observing each other’s movements.

’A fifth stage has already arrived... It seems this is the one the No God Emperor mentioned,’ Saya said.

Souta took another step forward and asked, ”Let me ask, just in case I’m wrong... why are you here?”

The monster, bearing a striking resemblance to him, replied, ”I’m here to capture you.”

Souta lowered his head and ran a hand through his hair. ”I’m disappointed... In that case, you won’t have a problem if I kill you.”

...

In the sky above the Mountain of Demise,

the No God Emperor grinned.

A fourth-stage fighting a fifth-stage monster.

If Souta won this battle, he would make history.

The first fourth-stage to slay a fifth-stage monster in the entire history of the world.

A feat no one had ever achieved.

The No God Emperor slowly turned his head left and right. He sensed several presences materializing in the atmosphere.

They weren’t here physically—just watching, silently observing the events unfolding in this land.

”If you can’t overcome this, then you will lose everything. The festival is nigh... and the show will begin. The glory—will be yours.”
