The Evolution Of A Goblin To The Peak

Chapter 1149: The Demon: History

”This will be your end!!”

Yin unleashed a powerful beam, his body twisting unnaturally as several limbs sprouted from his back, all pointing at Souta.

Energy surged. In the next instant, he fired multiple [Bestrou]. The best feram within his monster orb drained rapidly, but he didn’t care. All that mattered was ending this battle—ending this farce.

Swoosh!!

Souta was pushed back, the spider limbs trembling under the pressure. Cracks spread across their surface; they looked as if they would shatter at any moment.

”Fifth stage... I really can’t take this lightly.”

[Blessing of the Hunt]!

[Blessing of War and Wisdom]!!

The four spider limbs slowly withdrew, merging toward the tip of the vajra sword. They spun in unison, while the floating circle behind Souta shone with radiant light.

A surge of blood-colored lightning erupted, engulfing Souta’s entire body. The storm of energy coiled around his sword and the four spider limbs.

[Archetype: Great Blood of the End]!!

In an instant, his aura shifted—razor-sharp, like a spear capable of piercing anything.

Souta bent his knees, then launched himself forward.

[Second Form: Blood Lightning Piercing Through the Heavens]!!

He shot straight ahead, tearing through every energy beam Yin unleashed. In a blink, he was upon his enemy, momentum crashing like a tidal wave.

Bang!!

The four spider limbs shattered, dissolving into a crimson mist. Pain lanced through Souta’s body as fresh wounds opened, but he pressed on without hesitation. His sword and body slammed into Yin, cutting off his attacks by sheer force.

Swoosh!!

A blinding streak of red, light, and darkness carved through the air as Souta drove forward.

Yin looked down, teeth gritted, watching as Souta’s blade relentlessly broke through his defenses one by one. He tried to retreat, but the momentum dragged him along. With no escape, he could only pour everything into holding his ground.

In a single second, the two of them tore across the central plain, traveling hundreds of kilometers from their original battlefield.

From above, one could see a straight, blazing line carving through the land at impossible speed, leaving nothing but devastation in its wake.

Souta drove forward with every ounce of strength, breaking through Yin’s defenses. With the Second Form of his Archetype, he knew he could end it here.

”Be proud. You will be remembered in my tale of supremacy. It’s a privilege.” Souta roared, unleashing even greater power.

Boom!!

Far above the Mountain of Demise, the No God Emperor watched the clash intently.

”It’s over,” he murmured, a slow smile spreading across his face.

From his vantage, he saw the aftermath clearly: a colossal scar stretching across the central region, as if the land itself had been cleaved in two. The energy radiating from it warped the surroundings, a testament to the sheer scale of the clash.

Swoosh!!

Souta stood with his sword in hand, his body riddled with holes, blood drifting weightlessly around him.

Behind him, Yin’s body split in two, his shocked expression twisting into unwillingness as his final moments slipped away.

”It... can’t be... I...” Yin struggled to speak, his voice breaking.

His core, the monster orb, was disintegrating into ash.

It was destroyed.

No matter how many injuries he could heal, the loss of his core left only one fate.

Death.

”N-Nooo...”

His voice trembled as his body crumbled, turning to dust. The moment his core vanished, his existence followed.

Meanwhile, Souta didn’t spare him a glance. He simply looked upward and raised his hand.

”AHHHHH!!!”

His roar thundered across the land, brimming with overwhelming power. The sound reverberated through heaven and earth.

He had done it.

He had slain a fifth-stage monster.

A feat no one in history had ever achieved.

The first of its kind.

...

Silence draped itself over the God’s Continent. Across cities, temples, and fortresses, every gaze fixed upon the fading projection in the sky.

They could not comprehend what they had just witnessed.

For a heartbeat, the world itself seemed to hold its breath. Then...

”He won!!”

”Impossible... a fourth-stage monster!!”

”The Blood Lightning Monster!!”

And so, with that single clash, Souta’s name reverberated across the continent. From the smallest village to the loftiest throne, his deed became the only topic upon every tongue.

Never before had a fifth-stage fallen to one beneath it.

It defied history, defied reason yet the Blood Lightning Monster had carved the impossible into reality.

Even the distant watchers, beings older than empires, stirred in astonishment.

”An Emperor in the making...”

”If nothing hinders him, he will walk the path of a Monster Lord.”

”That form... it carried a hint of beastly instinct. No, it’s coming from his Archetype.”

”Hahahaha! Douion! Mark my words—another Sea King may rise... Thst is if he grows up!”

”No God Emperor... will you still bar the gods from meddling in this?”

”Perhaps you will be sealed once more... or perhaps cast down forever. Kekeke... the stage is set.”

At their whispers, No God Emperor merely snorted. His power surged, sweeping the heavens clean, scattering the senses of those who dared pry.

”The tale has ended. There is nothing more to see,” he said, voice calm yet final.

The battle was done.

The Chapter was closed.

And a new legend was born—etched into history for all eternity.

No God Emperor knew this battle would send ripples through the great factions that had stood unshaken for thousands of years.

And on the monster’s side... the reaction would be far more intriguing.

An Emperor had revealed his might, and countless beings would feel the stir. Even now, many were surely itching with restlessness.

No God Emperor cast one last glance at Souta before turning his head.

”The Call of the Emperor...” he murmured. ”More will come.”

...

Somewhere within the God’s Continent.

A gathering of humanoid creatures stood motionless, their eyes locked on the sky. They felt it deep in their bones: a pulse, an undeniable pull.

An indescribable feeling surged within them.

”It’s the Call of the Emperor...!”

”It’s reaching for us!”

”It’s summoning us!”

They were goblins. Dozens of goblin-type monsters standing tall, trembling in awe.

And across the vast continent, more goblins hidden in the shadows felt it too. The call rang in their blood, undeniable, irresistible.

Those bound under greater powers, under the dominion of Monster Lords, remained still. But the wanderers, the lost, the unclaimed... their instincts ignited.

”Emperor!!”

”The Emperor has appeared!!”

”RAHHHHHH!!!”

Howls and roars erupted across the wilderness, shaking the hidden places where monsters dwelled. A tide had awakened, stirred by the Call, an omen of the storm yet to come.

...

In the Heavenly Demon Palace.

Lucifer sat upon his throne, his expression calm yet marked by a faint frown.

”Blood Lightning Monster... An Emperor, and the first to accomplish a feat thought impossible.”

As one who had long transcended mortal limits, he understood the chasm between the fourth and fifth stages better than most. That divide was absolute, unyielding. Even the infamous Monster Lords of ages past had never surpassed their peers in such a manner when they were mere fourth-stage beings.

”His strength bends the order of the world itself,” Lucifer murmured, his voice even, deliberate. ”If his path remains unbroken, he will surely ascend as a Monster Lord. A figure who could shift the balance of power.”

He was not alone in this thought. Nearly every God-rank being who had witnessed the battle reached the same conclusion: unless if nothing happens, the Blood Lightning Monster would ascend to the rank of Monster Lord.

Lucifer leaned back, fingers brushing the armrest of his throne, his gaze unreadable.

”Dispatch more demons. Continue the search for my daughter. And...” his tone sharpened, a quiet authority filling the vast chamber, ”...if the chance arises, sever the Blood Lightning Monster’s path before it matures.”

The words fell like a decree, not rushed with anger, but measured with the weight of inevitability.

...

Countless beings were shaken by what they had witnessed. A piece of history had been carved before their very eyes, something that had never been done before.

The common masses could not grasp its true significance. But the experts, the veterans of countless battles, knew. They understood the near-impossible difficulty of such a feat.

No God Emperor turned his head, his sharp gaze falling upon Arzona—the 53rd Demon Pillar of the Heavenly Demon Palace.

Arzona, like the rest, had been stunned into silence by Souta’s impossible victory. He never imagined the Blood Lightning Monster would etch his name into history by slaying a fifth-stage monster.

But the weight of No God Emperor’s gaze pulled him back to reality.

”What are you still doing here? Do you wish to fight me?” No God Emperor asked coldly.

Arzona’s eyes narrowed. He knew the truth, defeating No God Emperor was nearly impossible. And yet... he also knew the future awaiting the Blood Lightning Monster. If Souta truly rose to become a Monster Lord, then the Heavenly Demon Palace had already sown enmity with him.

If Arzona struck now, if he could kill the Blood Lightning Monster in his wounded state, then future calamities could be avoided.

Just as he tensed, his expression shifted. He felt the call—an order, unmistakable and absolute. His Majesty commanded him to withdraw.

Arzona clicked his tongue softly. He had no choice but to obey.

His gaze lingered one last time on the Blood Lightning Monster before he began to retreat.

No God Emperor chuckled at the sight. ”A wise choice. You’ve saved your life today. Had you acted, Lucifer would have lost a Demon Pillar here.”

Arzona’s voice echoed as he departed, ”No God Emperor... do not think no one will come for you. You will face it again—an attack from all sides. I look forward to that day.”

No God Emperor sneered, his tone laced with disdain. ”Mind your own business, brat. I fear no one. I see the state of this world better than most. Do you think they have the time to concern themselves with me? The Ruler of Gluttony rampages unchecked, and that mad Shub-Niggurath still out there.”

He leaned back, his presence pressing upon the air like a storm. ”They dare not unite for a true offensive—not even against her. And do you know why? Because of those in the shadows. The hidden ones. Should they move when the balance is broken... who can say what horrors would follow?”
