I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 442: Chapter 71: Breaking Through_2

The ball fell towards Sevilla’s goal, Stankevicius extended his leg trying to intercept, but just brushed it slightly, and behind him, Cristiano Ronaldo successfully seized the point and stabbed the ball into the net!

”Goal!”

”C. Ronaldo!”

”He scored shortly after coming onto the field!”

”He stabbed the ball into the net ahead of the defenders!”

”3:2”

”Real Madrid takes the lead!”

The Real Madrid fans in the stands cheered loudly, and the blow from falling behind was incomparable for the Sevilla players, it seemed as if their backbone was pulled out by this goal.

Originally straight backs could no longer stand tall.

In the 69th minute, Real Madrid scored another goal, Benzema awkwardly twisted his waist twice after receiving the ball, then passed it to Negredo, Negredo performed a brilliant heel pass.

Chen Zhong, who surged forward from the back, protected the ball all the way into Sevilla’s penalty area, causing the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium to be engulfed in exclamations.

”Real Madrid’s attack.”

”Benzema!”

”Pass it again.”

”Heel pass.”

”Chen Zhong has the ball!”

”Fazio can’t hold him!”

”Protecting the ball, he breaks into the penalty area.”

At this moment, fans of different teams seemed to see different players; Chelsea fans seemed to see a peak Drogba, breaking into the penalty area with bodies hanging on him.

Jimenez closed his eyes desperately, while Pellegrini looked on with faint anticipation.

Inside the penalty area, Chen Zhong calmly curled an arc, the ball brushed against the post and went into the net.

4:2

Real Madrid now leads by two goals!

The Real Madrid fans in the stands celebrated loudly, they were not just celebrating the victory in the two games, but also that Real Madrid had widened the gap to 7 points with second place Barcelona in the league.

And with the league more than halfway through, even if they lost in the second round of the national derby, as long as they stabilize in other matches, the championship would be within their reach!

Of course, they would never lose to Barcelona, after all, they have Chen Zhong!

”Goal!”

”Beautiful!”

”Very calm curling shot.”

”This arc!”

”This skill!”

”4:2”

”Chen Zhong completed his third hat-trick of the season.”

”This is an unbelievable achievement for a midfielder.”

”Today, he can take his teammates’ signatures home again!”

After scoring, Chen Zhong ran towards the corner flag, simultaneously taking off his upper jersey, his solid muscles shining so brightly under the lights.

The main referee smilingly showed Chen Zhong a yellow card, a new regulation after Fernando celebrated by stripping off without having time to put it back on, and played shirtless.

Jimenez’s suspended heart finally died, he initially thought maybe the team could steal a draw with a last-minute equalizer, but now it seems nearly impossible.

The Sevilla players also nearly lost all their fighting spirit.

In the following time, they were almost passively ”favored” by Real Madrid.

In the 78th minute, Negredo got an excellent opportunity, but unfortunately, his shot hit the post and bounced out, and in the remaining time, Chen Zhong sat steadily in the midfield, starting to do the ”embroidery” work.

Marcelo and Ramos continuously delivered crosses from both sides.

Unfortunately, Negredo, Benzema, and C. Ronaldo in the center, whether by header or foot strike, narrowly missed by a hair’s breadth.

In the 81st minute, Real Madrid substituted Pirlo in place of Alonso, and Pirlo shortly after coming onto the pitch delivered a clever through ball to Benzema!

The commentators and fans were thrilled at the time.

”Pirlo!”

”Surgical Knife-like through ball!”

”Benzema is one-on-one!”

”What the heck?”

At that moment, the commentator might have thought internally about his pay being docked, while the Real Madrid fans felt it was absurd.

Because Benzema remarkably, after successfully beating the offside trap, staged a bizarre tumble in the penalty area with no physical contact.

The camera focused on Benzema, the French forward known as the White Ronaldo, glanced up at the lens, then buried his head in the ground, obviously feeling quite embarrassed.

The final score was set at 4:2

Pirlo appeared somewhat disappointed as he left the field, since he did not get to score or assist, though he had Real Madrid and his friends around him, he was not enjoying it here.

At the post-match press conference, Jimenez did not look too pleased, after all, they were leading by 2 goals in the first twenty minutes.

”To tell the truth, if Chen had not come on, I think we had a great chance to win this match.”

”But he came on, and only 30 minutes into the game, Pellegrini brought him on, and at that moment Real Madrid felt unfamiliar to me.”

”This is the strongest Real Madrid I’ve ever seen, I believe I’m not alone, many haven’t seen Real Madrid play this well for years.”

Jimenez paused here for a moment, seemingly savoring something, before speaking again: ”They exerted tremendous pressure on us, as if programmed, and Real Madrid was very accustomed to this.”

”Most of the time, our positioning was fine,” Jimenez said, ”For a while, we even perfectly limited Chen.”

Speaking of this, Jimenez chuckled helplessly, starting to review Real Madrid’s performance in this game: ”In my view, this game, after Chen came on, Real Madrid was electrifying, players performed competently and swiftly, especially in depth layers, creating numerous chances that we conservatively countered.”

”But it’s evidently clear they fought for victory, while we could only strive not to lose.”

Jimenez seemed somewhat incoherent, this match brought vividly deep memories to his short coaching career.

While Pellegrini, during his interview, although internally keen, showed humble demeanor: ”In the first 15 minutes, we performed poorly, I wished to yell at them, but then Chen stood by my side.”

”Guess what I was thinking at that moment.”

”I thought, well, you guys play on then! If you think Barcelona being held to a draw means this game can be passed up, Chen will show you how to play worthy of this jersey.”

”And you saw what followed.”

”Chen came on, we scored one two three goals.”

”We reversed our opponents, secured the victory deservedly.”

”All this stemmed from Chen coming onto the pitch.”

”But I do have a dilemma too,” Pellegrini laughed looking at the reporters: ”After all, I only have one Chen, if only I had another Chen that would be splendid.”

The reporters below revealed kindly smiles, then began to ask about facing Lyon in the Champions League round of 16 second leg.

This team, dubbed Real Madrid’s nemesis, always performed steadily with one win and one draw over two rounds, but this season Lyon seemed to lack that prowess.

After all, their former star striker is now playing for Real Madrid.

Moreover, the second leg was held at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

”I’m not worried.”

”Since in my view, Real Madrid currently is at its best phase.”

Pellegrini seemed full of confidence, and three days later, Real Madrid did not disappoint Pellegrini, easily defeating Lyon, winning 3:0 at home and successfully advancing to the next round.

Real Madrid’s nemesis, the Champions League perennial round of 16 team tags, began to dissipate after this match.

And Real Madrid’s quarter-finals opponent would be Bordeaux.

Bordeaux: What? I am playing against Real Madrid? Tell my mom I am not a coward.
