I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 432: Chapter 67: A New Chapter Begins (Welcome...)

Free kick goal, header point goal, long shot heavy cannon goal.

In a single match, with three different methods to break through the opponent’s goal, Chen Zhong left a deep impression on the fans watching the game, and also gained a group of ”admirers,” which brought some impact to Chen Zhong’s fan base.

Some people believe that Chen Zhong’s position can be moved a bit forward; with his outstanding physical fitness, he can completely surpass Negredo to become a top center forward.

Another group believes that in a situation where the role of the center forward is weakening and starting to create space for the two wings or even the midfield, letting Chen Zhong play as a center forward is a waste of his talent, limiting his performance, and that he has the potential to become historic in midfield.

Despite the ongoing debate among the fans, it still did not affect Real Madrid’s progress in various competitions.

In the 24th round of La Liga, Barcelona nearly stumbled against Malaga; the two teams were tied in the first half, and Malaga even took the lead in the second half.

If it weren’t for Barcelona’s exertion in the latter half, they almost only gained 1 or 0 points, further widening the gap with Real Madrid.

Unlike Barcelona’s ”difficulty,” Real Madrid achieved a 4-goal victory over Tenerife away, with the team scoring 2 goals in the first half, ending with a total score of 1:5.

In this match, Chen Zhong again blasted a super heavy cannon, reaching 25 goals in the La Liga, while Messi, who is second on the scorer list, only scored 18, giving Chen Zhong a huge advantage in the race for the La Liga Golden Boot.

Achieving 25 goals by the 24th round of the season even surpasses the total season goals of some La Liga Golden Boot winners since entering the 21st century.

The 00/01 season Raul Gonzalez, this season Raul won the Golden Boot with 24 goals and 3 assists in 36 La Liga matches, and Real Madrid also won the La Liga championship with his outstanding performance.

The 01/02 season Diego Tristan, the 26-year-old Spanish center forward scored 21 goals in his 34 matches, and his team Deportivo La Coruna also secured the La Liga runner-up that season.

The 02/03 season Roy Makaay, the Dutch striker’s last season in La Liga, the 28-year-old Makaay achieved 29 goals in 38 matches to secure the La Liga Golden Boot while also obtaining the European Golden Boot, and Deportivo La Coruna’s ”Super Laco” title attracted many fans in China over two seasons of brilliant performances.

That season Deportivo La Coruna also achieved third place in La Liga.

The 03/04 season Ronaldo, this was the best season for the ”alien” at Real Madrid, with Ronaldo presenting 24 goals and 9 assists in 32 matches, earning the La Liga Golden Boot.

The 04/05 season Diego Forlan, the player with the most goals in La Liga this season were two who both scored 25 goals, but the Uruguayan forward Forlan, playing for Villarreal, snatched the Golden Boot with higher scoring efficiency.

Moreover, he shed the ”flop” label given during his time at Manchester United, and together with Arsenal’s ”King Henry,” won the European Golden Boot that year, with Villarreal making a historic achievement by clinching third place with his help.

In the currently popular football games, Forlan stands as a divine forward in the hearts of players with 55 feet.

The 05/06 season Samuel Eto’o, last season Eto’o narrowly lost in the competition with Forlan, and this season he regrouped, scoring 26 goals to win the Golden Boot of the season, and Barcelona also achieved a double crown in the Champions League and La Liga this season.

The 06/07 season Ruud van Nistelrooy, in the summer and the conflict with Cristiano Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy became the one abandoned.

He came to Bernabeu from Old Trafford, but the 30-year-old Van Nistelrooy still showcased high efficiency, scoring 25 goals in 37 matches, helping Real Madrid regain the league championship while also securing the La Liga Golden Boot of the season.

The 07/08 season Daniel Guisa, the 27-year-old Guisa had a big breakthrough this season, scoring 27 goals and assisting 7 in 37 matches, winning the La Liga Golden Boot while also helping Mallorca secure seventh place in the league.

Guisa also thus became a member of the Spain Team for the 2008 European Championship, lifting the championship with the team.

The 08/09 season Diego Forlan, the 30-year-old Uruguayan forward had another explosive season, displaying a highly effective performance with 32 goals and 10 assists in 33 matches, and therefore securing the La Liga Golden Boot and European Golden Boot for the second time, while Atletico Madrid secured fourth in the league that season.

Forlan’s highly efficient performance seemed to become a lever, since the 04-05 season, the number of goals for the league’s Golden Boot began to see a slight increase, and since the season competing with Eto’o, the threshold for the league Golden Boot reached 25 goals and later raised to 27 goals.

Last season, it even surpassed the terrifying mark of 30 goals, with Forlan’s extraordinary performance of 32 goals in 33 matches earning the La Liga Golden Boot and European Golden Boot.

In the current season, with Chen Zhong scoring an astonishing 25 goals by the 24th round in the league, such performance makes some fans believe it marks the arrival of a ”goal era.”

Many people confidently claim that Chen Zhong may score 30 or even 40 goals in the upcoming time, while some people crazily declare that if Chen Zhong becomes the center forward for the team, the league Golden Boot goal record might reach 50 goals as well.
