I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 429: Chapter 65: Graceful as a Soaring Dragon

Garrido was completely speechless. Initially, he felt that the few genius players on his team were quite good, their fame just smaller because Chen Zhong played for Real Madrid!

But now, seeing Chen Zhong who could control the rhythm, make rear inserts, execute long and short passes, unleash the heavy cannon, fight for headers on corners, defend, intercept, and even make decisive sliding tackles, directing defense!

Now he even managed to kick a quality free kick, suddenly he felt that Rossi and others were really weak compared to Chen Zhong!

He’s the new generation ”Gullit”!

The new generation midfielder king!

If Chen Zhong were willing, he could even become a very threatening top-class center forward in front of the goal, if he were a bit faster, dribbled a bit better, shot a bit more accurately!

Even Drogba!

Didier Drogba might have to hand over the title of ”Magic Beast” to Chen Zhong and call himself ”Little Magic Beast”.

After ensuring the goal, Chen Zhong laughed and ran towards C. Ronaldo, who jumped high, wanting to hang on Chen Zhong, but failed to hold on steady and almost fell off.

Luckily, Chen Zhong was quick-eyed and quick-handed, giving Cristiano Ronaldo a ”princess carry”, creating a memorable scene for both of them.

Then Chen Zhong just carried C. Ronaldo all the way to the corner flag, laying him horizontally, enjoying the fans’ cheers arm in arm.

This scene made Negredo quite sour.

”The ball is in, in, in, in!”

”Three years ago, Chen Zhong scored his league debut goal against Villarreal!”

”And today, three years later, Chen Zhong scored his first free-kick against Villarreal!”

”What else can he do, what can’t he do!”

”This reminds me of when Chen Zhong was in the youth team, coaches’ evaluation of him, an all-powerful player.”

”And now he’s exhibiting his all-round ability to the fullest!”

”This is a knuckleball!”

The principle of the knuckleball is mainly based on the Magnus effect (vortex theory), characterized by very little spin but suddenly dropping as it approaches the goal.

The core principles of the knuckleball are twofold: firstly, the ball shouldn’t spin, and secondly, the ball speed must be extremely fast.

This places very high demands on the player’s kicking skills, and Chen Zhong being able to kick such a ball represents a new understanding of his kicking skills.

Villarreal’s players were somewhat dejected, while Real Madrid’s players were overly excited.

In the ensuing time, Villarreal committed 6 fouls in 7 minutes, receiving 2 yellow cards, only using continuous fouls to disrupt the attacking momentum of Real Madrid.

Faced with this situation, Chen Zhong signaled Pepe with his eyes to stay calm, and then, in the following time, pulled off a triple slide tackle!

”Villarreal’s attack!”

”Nearly thirty minutes into the game, they still haven’t managed a shot within the frame!”

”Passed to an open space!”

”Rossi runs towards the ball, Chen Zhong slides in!”

”Cazorla rushes close trying to get the ball.”

”Chen Zhong stands up, slides again, and the ball rolls out!”

”Sena!”

”Still sliding!”

”Ah this!”

”The referee blows the whistle!”

Chen Zhong’s triple slide tackle instantly elevated the stadium atmosphere, even Real Madrid’s traditionally ”gentlemanly” fans began to blush, waving fists, turning Santiago Bernabeu Stadium’s atmosphere into ”hell”!

Villarreal’s players were fearful and annoyed towards Chen Zhong.

Especially Rossi!

When he was running towards the ball just now, he didn’t hold back at all, but Chen Zhong tackled the ball away, he got taken and fell quite hard, even sliding a distance on the ground!

Cazorla wasn’t much better, now even holding his foot sweating profusely.

Sena was somewhat better, after seeing his two teammates’ tragedy, he was slightly intimidated deep down, only ”grazed” against Chen Zhong’s slide tackle, not significantly affected!

Of course, the most annoyed was the referee. He really wanted to show Chen Zhong a yellow card, but Chen Zhong’s every tackle was textbook worthy!

Each time he touched the ball first!

He didn’t even expose the studs!

The referee was annoyed because Chen Zhong could entirely take the ball by other means, like before, using his body to push Rossi away!

If that were the case, the subsequent two tackles wouldn’t have happened.

He had reason to suspect Chen Zhong just purely wanted to tackle people.

”I know your skills.”

”I hope the match can be played more smoothly.” The referee looked at Chen Zhong seriously and said, ”Do you understand what I mean, Chen?”

”I understand.” Chen Zhong looked at the referee and then at the angry Villarreal players pressuring the referee, smilingly said, ”I just thought they enjoyed this way of playing.”

The referee gave Chen Zhong a deep look, realizing Chen Zhong’s intentions. Before Chen Zhong’s actions, Villarreal had committed 6 fouls and received 2 yellow cards within 7 minutes, almost like a cornered rat.

And he understood the deeper meaning behind Chen Zhong’s actions.

Pepe, after seeing the referee leave, came over, shielding his mouth and looking at Chen Zhong, said: ”Chen, such things I can come and do.”

”I know.” Chen Zhong glanced at Pepe. In a season where he wasn’t present, Pepe was like an unleashed wild dog last season, earning quite the reputation, even nicknamed by some local fans as ”Martial Monk”, but there were consequences, last season Pepe faced nearly ten match bans, eating multiple red cards: ”But, I’m afraid you might tackle yourself off.”

Pepe listened to Chen Zhong, showing a set of sharp white teeth, his eager gaze seemed to say, ah, if you put it this way, it does seem right!

Why don’t you teach me some of your tackling skills, let me learn your quick and precise toughness?

After being tackled three times by Chen Zhong, Villarreal finally learned to spell the word ”honest”. In the following time, they started defending their half, whereas Real Madrid launched multiple attacks.

In the 27th minute, Higuain at the left side of the penalty area passed back to Negredo in the center, and Negredo played back to Chen Zhong, who then lofted the ball to the charging C. Ronaldo, who leaped high, outpowered the full-back, completing an exquisite header goal.

The ball found the net, and C. Ronaldo achieved a double hit!

3:0

The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium’s fans cheered loudly. Seeing the team’s hot state, they felt genuinely happy, even Pellegrini was infected, his face full of smiles.

Two minutes later, Villarreal’s attack was again broken by Real Madrid, Chen Zhong passed the ball to Ramos on the flank, who crossed to Negredo, and Negredo volleyed in the big penalty area.

The ball found the net!

Real Madrid’s number 9 also harvested a valuable goal in this match!

4:0

Villarreal had completely lost their morale, but Real Madrid wouldn’t easily let go!

In the 40th minute, C. Ronaldo made a back pass on the right, Granero shot from 15 yards at the right of the box but sent it high.

At the 43rd minute, Granero returned a pass at the right of the box, C. Ronaldo, seemingly dissatisfied with Granero’s high shot, also shot high from 12 yards.

At the 45th minute, Villarreal, who hadn’t managed a shot within the frame during the first half, had their attack intercepted again, the ball quickly reaching Negredo at the front.

Negredo headed the ball back!

Real Madrid’s number 10 charged from the back row, one direct volley shot!

Once again changed the score!

5:0

Villarreal was utterly frozen!

Garrido was also completely numb, seemingly seeing his inability to turn around.

Seeing his tragic fate.

Chen Zhong, after scoring, ran towards the corner flag and jumped high!

And all the fans, waiting for him to land, collectively shouted his surname in unison!

Halftime ended with Real Madrid 5:0 leading, Villarreal lost their fighting spirit like frostbitten eggplants, even many Villarreal fans in the stands were tearfully sorrowing.

Some even cried out, ”No, no, no~”
