Chapter 187: Chapter 67: Chen Figures It Out, Creates 5 Goals On His Own! (Part 2)

The first thing was to block Chen Zhong’s passing route, but instead, it opened up a space for Chen Zhong to shoot.

The team was already leading by 5 goals. Chen Zhong pretended to pass, then tricked the nearest defender and fiercely struck the ball with his right foot.

”Bang!”

The ball turned into a white blur, flying towards the goal.

The shot was so sudden that the goalkeeper, who was off balance due to Chen Zhong’s feigned pass, could only watch as the ball hit the inside of the post and bounced into the net.

His goal was breached for the sixth time in this match.

”6:0!”

”This is simply a massacre!”

”Robben’s back pass.”

”Chen Zhong received the ball and feigned a move.”

”Then he unleashed a powerful shot to crack open the opponent’s goal.”

”This is either his sixth or seventh goal in the league this season.”

”His goal count in various competitions is about to reach double digits.”

”Compared to his goal count, his number of assists has successfully surpassed the double-digit mark.”

”If last season, the most dazzling player in La Liga was Messi, then this season, Chen Zhong can undoubtedly outshine many competitors.”

”If this performance continues, the Golden Ball, the Golden Boy Award, will be within Chen Zhong’s grasp.”

After scoring, Chen Zhong ran towards the corner flag, leaping high to showcase his name and number to the entire Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, and as he landed, the whole stadium chanted, ”CHEN.”

At the same time, a few five-star red flags in the stands were waving triumphantly.

Chen Zhong greeted his teammates one by one and then waved his right hand to thank the fans in the stands.

After conceding this goal, Valladolid had completely lost their fighting spirit, and Real Madrid took over the battlefield entirely on Valladolid’s half.

In the final moments of the match, Marcelo broke through on the flank and lobbed the ball into the penalty area. Chen Zhong made a late run and headed the ball sideways to the Argentine.

Higuain was both surprised and slightly flustered by this perfect setup.

His shot was not of high quality, but everyone focused on the leaping Chen Zhong, allowing Higuain to take the shot.

”Marcelo crosses.”

”Looking for Chen Zhong.”

”Header assist.”

”Higuain.”

”Shot!”

”Goal!!!”

”7:0”

”Oh my gosh!”

”Seven goals.”

”After this match, Real Madrid will maintain an 11-game home winning streak in the league and an 18-game cross-season winning streak.”

”While Valladolid suffers their third consecutive defeat.”

”Especially this failure might leave a significant psychological impact.”

”This is Chen Zhong’s fourth assist of the match, a quadruple joy.”

”Single-handedly involved in five goals, one goal, four assists.”

”At the age of 16, achieving such feats is truly astounding.”

The commentator’s words inadvertently sparked a wave of discussion online, starting with one clever netizen saying, ”At 16, I still couldn’t control my emotions well, but he’s already on the field with 1 goal and 4 assists.” It was subsequently humorously modified by countless netizens, causing Chen Zhong to gain some fame online.

The final score was 7:0

This score is sure to leave a lasting impression on him.

This round of the league also saw many events, like Aragon revealing the squad list for next week’s Spain National Team friendly against France Team. Unsurprisingly, Barcelona’s 17-year-old genius star Bojan was selected, while Real Madrid’s emblem Raul was once again left out by the coach.

If Bojan plays in next week’s match, he will become the youngest player to represent the Spain National Team, a record previously held by Bilbao’s player Zubita back in 1936.

Without Chen Zhong single-handedly creating five goals, this news would have been the highlight of the round, yet the 16-year-old genius’s feat stole much of its thunder.

Compared to Bojan, Chen Zhong is younger and his statistics are better.

Which somewhat gives Bojan the feeling of living in someone else’s shadow.

And that shadow is not Messi, but Chen Zhong, as both were born in the 90s, and previously, many fans believed Bojan would be the leading figure of the 90s generation.

In addition to this event, the ”Hand of God” Argentine legend, Maradona, came to Madrid. He was not there to watch Real Madrid’s match, but Atletico Madrid’s.

Atletico Madrid’s Argentine rising star, recent winner of the FIFA’s Best Newcomer Award, Aguero hosted Maradona. Unfortunately, at Estadio Vicente Calderón, Maradona saw his soon-to-be son-in-law Aguero and Atletico Madrid being eliminated by Valencia.

Out of love for his soon-to-be son-in-law, Maradona blamed Aguero’s teammates for the failure, and later, Aguero publicly acknowledged his relationship with Maradona’s daughter, stating, ”Maradona is my father-in-law.”

This news, along with ”Bojan selected for Spain National Team, Raul left out again,” became hot topics among players in Real Madrid’s restaurant.

Besides these, Madrid and Catalonia’s media outlets started a war of words.

Madrid media boasted about Real Madrid’s incredible 7-goal triumph while mocking Messi and Barcelona, referencing Messi’s recent comments about Real Madrid’s late-season struggles and their hope for the championship.

But in the recently concluded league, Barcelona trailed by 1:1 at home against 10-man Sevilla, relying on Xavi to equalize at the last minute, giving Madrid media plenty of ammunition for taunting.

At this time, Catalonia’s media released a statement.

First acknowledging Chen Zhong’s excellence.

Declaring that Chen Zhong may be a genius emerging once every 10, 20 years.

However...

Then turning the narrative, they praised Messi, deeming him unique and a once-in-a-century genius.

In contrast to foreign commotion, the domestic scene was like Chinese New Year.

Since Chen Zhong exhibited extraordinary talent at Real Madrid, many young talents in the country received opportunities to go abroad, such as Wu Lei signed by Barcelona’s youth training and Zhang Linpeng brought in by Chelsea.

Additionally, recently at home at Old Trafford, Manchester United Team lost 1:2 to Manchester City Team in the 149th Manchester Derby, ending their 12-game home league winning streak and facing a season sweep by Manchester City.

During this match, Sun Jihai’s appearance filled the regret of Manchester United Director’s absence.

Meanwhile, Chen Zhong’s performance of single-handedly creating 5 goals for Real Madrid stirred excitement among domestic netizens, setting an example for players in Asia and even globally.

For instance, Son Heung-min, born in 1992, joined South Korea’s Seoul FC football club’s youth training base in 2007. This year, due to the Korea Football Association’s open scheme, he will participate in Germany’s football training as part of a collaboration project between Korea and the Germany Football Association.

Though initially anxious, Son Heung-min focused on Chen Zhong as a key figure after hearing the news about him, and after Chen Zhong established himself at Real Madrid, he considered him a mental support.

If he can make a name for himself in Spain, at Real Madrid, then so can I!

Yes, typical ”if he can do it, so can I.”

Time proceeds to mid-February, on the 17th Real Madrid will travel to Betis’ home ground to play the 24th round of La Liga, and on the 20th, they will head to Italy for the Champions League round of 16 first leg against Rome.

Schuster rotated players in the match against Betis, but the final result was not optimistic.
