I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 175: Chapter 62: No Genius Before Chen?

The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium resounded with boos from the fans in the stands.

Casillas looked a bit agitated in front of the goal, as his hard-earned record of not conceding was broken just like that!

If it’s broken, then it’s broken. But the manner in which it was shattered was something Casillas couldn’t accept, especially with Rossi and Nihat provoking him repeatedly before the match.

Before the match, a reporter interviewed the pair asking for their thoughts on breaking Casillas’s record of not conceding a goal. Rossi laughed on the spot and asked, ”Casillas’s goal is impenetrable? Who said that?”

Nihat also expressed his strong desire, saying, ”Someone’s got to score, why can’t it be us? Facing Casillas’s goal, I have special motivation.”

At that time, many people thought that the in-form Nihat would accomplish this mission.

In the previous ”Submarine” sinking of Valencia, the Turk hit the post twice and scored once; major media outlets named him the best of the round, believing he had reached a higher professional peak than during his time at Real Sociedad, finally free from the curse of injuries.

However, Rossi also deserved credit for breaking the defense this time. After the match began, he kept his sharpness hidden, and his timely offensive meant he achieved the element of surprise.

This match, the switching of positions between Rossi and Nihat made Real Madrid’s defense appear somewhat disordered.

Schuster on the sidelines was boosting players’ morale, while Chen Zhong also began shouting at his teammates, starting to build a defense system around himself.

To avoid being hit again by Villarreal’s torpedoes, Real Madrid also began to temper their offense.

”Beautiful interception.”

”Chen Zhong’s long legs intercepted the ball midway.”

”Rossi’s little scheme failed this time.”

Chen Zhong had been watching Rossi early on. Rossi, sneaking around with an eerily ”thieving” positioning, attempted to pull off a familiar tactic, yet Chen Zhong had targeted Rossi early and successfully completed the interception.

Rossi widened his eyes wanting to rob back, but was bounced away by Chen Zhong’s robust body.

Chen Zhong passed the ball to Sergado, who dribbled down the flank and then passed to Robinho.

The energetic Robinho of this match, with a bicycle kick and a burst of speed, passed the opponent, cut inside from the flank, and charged into the right side of the large penalty area.

”Sergado.”

”Pass.”

”Robinho.”

”A bicycle kick.”

”Speed up, got past him.”

”Going inward.”

”Feint.”

”Shoot!”

Robinho’s movements were extremely smooth, charging into Villarreal’s penalty area like ”sparks with lightning”; at that moment, fans saw the shadow of a genius in him, and several scouts made a noteworthy note in their books.

He charged into the penalty area, at the right side, attempting an angled shot towards the goal.

He slightly parted his lips, his eyes filled with expectation.

The ball, with a bit of spin, edged towards the goal area; Diego Lopez reacted very quickly, being an old teammate with Robinho.

This Spanish goalkeeper nicknamed ”Octopus” blocked the ball with his calf.

It was a perfect save; just as everyone was about to extol the miraculous save of the ”Octopus,” a yellow-skinned, black-haired figure wearing jersey number 22 squeezed out wanting to clear the defender.

”Chen Zhong!”

”It’s Chen Zhong!”

The commentator shouted as Chen Zhong’s efforts reached a reward, he squeezed past the defender and shot fiercely.

”Boom!”

Like a cannonball, the ball slammed towards the goal; at this distance, even if Diego Lopez had 8 arms, he couldn’t stop it, let alone he didn’t have them.

The ball hit the goal net, creating an angle before landing on the ground.

At the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, the fans raised their hands and shouted Chen Zhong’s name.

”Chen!”

”Chen!!”

Schuster couldn’t help but clap fiercely on the sideline; if Francisco hadn’t dodged quickly, there might have been another soul lost under Schuster’s slap today.

”Beautiful!”

”A beautiful goal!”

”Chen Zhong snatched the ball’s second point of contact.”

”He did not hesitate, directly executing a volley to breach Villarreal’s goal.”

”This is already his 5th goal in the league; for a 16-year-old newcomer, his performance is already impeccable.”

”It even far exceeds the first-season performances of Dos Santos, Bojan, and Messi who entered Barcelona’s first team.”

”From 2004 entering Real Madrid’s youth training, to now becoming an essential part of the Real Madrid team, Chen Zhong used less than 4 years.”

”We can hear the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium resounding with his name, he has already won the hearts of the Merengues.”

Diego Lopez stood with hands on hips looking at Chen Zhong, his eyes full of complexity; this Spanish goalkeeper nicknamed ”Octopus,” entered Real Madrid’s youth training in 2000, only promoted to Castilla in the summer of 2003, and had a chance to enter Real Madrid’s first team in the 05-06 season as a proud backup goalkeeper.

He perfectly missed Chen Zhong; before Chen Zhong appeared, he always thought his career in Real Madrid’s youth training was quite smooth.

But after Chen Zhong appeared, he suddenly realized...

Compared to Chen Zhong, he was simply like a ”mite.”

Chen Zhong ran towards the corner flag, followed by the rest of Real Madrid, like the moon surrounded by stars, leaping high, proudly displaying his number and name at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
