I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 161: Chapter 55: Estadio Vicente Calderón, The Last Devil’s Home Ground!

But Chen Zhong exposed this matter directly in the interview, which immediately brought a surge of traffic, and of course, those media people would not let this wave of traffic slip away.

In the pre-match interview, Schuster was asked about this issue. The coach, known as the ”Lion King” due to his golden hair and fiery temper, smiled and said, ”I’ve heard about this.”

”Chen is a very competitive and challenging player, very much like me.”

”I think there’s nothing wrong with what he said. After all, people need to have goals and dreams, what if they succeed!”

”After all, we’ve already conquered three other devil’s home grounds, and now we only have Atletico Madrid’s Calderon left.”

Atletico Madrid’s coach, the ”elegant” Javier Aguirre, after hearing Schuster’s remarks, elegantly responded to the camera, ”This is a derby, and we take this match very seriously.”

”I don’t think Real Madrid holds an overwhelming advantage over us, we have excellent players like Aguero and Fernando.”

”To think of accomplishing the impossible task at my Atletico Madrid is absolutely impossible!”

Aguirre’s voice was elegant yet firm, and his words also provoked cheers from Atletico Madrid fans.

Inside the Calderon Stadium, Atletico Madrid’s anthem was resonating, and the fans were creating such a momentum, even watching on TV, one could feel a pang of trepidation from the overwhelming and fervent atmosphere.

”The match now live is the 20th round of the 2007-08 season of the Spanish Football League.”

”Atletico Madrid is hosting Real Madrid at home.”

”Atletico Madrid is in red and white striped jerseys, while Real Madrid is in white jerseys.”

”Both teams have deployed a 442 formation in this match, Atletico Madrid players...”

”Real Madrid’s starting players for this match...”

”Undoubtedly, the Madrid Derby is this round’s highlight, and both teams have prepared thoroughly for the match.”

”Schuster rested Raul in the King’s Cup for this match and created an illusion during the pre-match closed training, handing the main vests to Guti and Baptista.”

”Real Madrid has remained unbeaten with 7 wins and 5 draws in the last 12 league clashes between the two, and in their league history encounters, Real Madrid holds the upper hand with 75 wins, 31 draws, and 35 losses out of 141 matches, with an away record of 27 wins, 20 draws, and 23 losses.”

”For this match, Real Madrid fielded their full main roster, with Casillas, Raul, Chen Zhong, Pepe, Robben, and Robinho all starting.”

”On Atletico Madrid’s side, Abbiati, Elle, Antonio Lopez, Maxi Rodriguez, Simao, Aguero, Fernando are all on the pitch.”

”Before the match started, there was a verbal exchange between the coaches and the players of the two teams.”

”This significantly heightened the focus on this match from coaches, players, and fans alike.”

”Real Madrid aims to replicate the heroic feat from 44 years ago of conquering the four major devil’s home grounds.”

”They have already conquered Barcelona’s Camp Nou, Valencia’s Mestalla Stadium, and Athletic Bilbao’s San Mames Stadium.”

”If they beat Atletico Madrid at the Calderon in this match, they will succeed in the challenge.”

”And naturally, Atletico Madrid is not willing to be Real Madrid’s stepping stone.”

”Of course, compared to domestic players, people are more focused on how Chen Zhong performs in this match.”

”Since joining Real Madrid’s youth training in 2004, Chen Zhong completed a magnificent multi-level leap from the bottom tier of youth training to Castilla and then to Real Madrid in just 3 years.”

”His performance on the La Liga stage has even made some fans regard him as the most outstanding football genius domestically in nearly a decade.”

”I sincerely hope he can fully realize his talent and become the most outstanding player in China, Asia, and even the world.”

”As the referee’s whistle blows, the match officially begins.”

”Let’s watch this exciting match together.”

In the Calderon Stadium, the fans from both teams are doing their best to make their voices heard, this wave after wave of sound waves makes many people’s scalps tingle.

Chen Zhong is warming up his body on the field, while not far away, Aguero is seriously watching Chen Zhong.

Though he verbally dismisses it, deep in his heart, Aguero has recognized Chen Zhong’s strength as a genius player capable of rivaling him, and he didn’t expect China’s football prowess to be so terrifying.

The Beijing 2008 Olympics is approaching, and both Aguero and Messi have been selected for Argentina’s National Olympic Team; if Chen Zhong is also selected for China’s, then building a team around him as the core would indeed be quite a terrifying thing.

As the referee blew the whistle, Aguero collected his mind.

In this match, Real Madrid won the kickoff, standing in the center circle were Van Nistelrooy and Chen Zhong, Van Nistelrooy passed the ball to Chen Zhong, who dribbled forward a couple of steps, drawing some defensive players, before passing the ball to the left side to Robinho.

Robinho, upon receiving the ball, quickly advanced forward, driving straight to the area near the goal line.

Atletico’s central defender Pablo Ibáñez went up for a block, Robinho passed the ball back to Chen Zhong, Chen Zhong took a glance at Raul and noticed he was marked by Atletico players.

He didn’t choose to pass directly to Raul but instead, while fending off the defender, passed the ball again to the cutting-in Robinho.

Upon receiving the ball, Robinho glanced at Chen Zhong, who was beckoning for the ball, and nudged it forward; Chen Zhong, holding off Atletico’s defender, noticed the goalkeeper’s positioning and a bold idea flashed across his mind.

It seemed like it was Raul beside him, if it was this line!

So Chen Zhong let the ball go through without making contact.

The ball rolled past Raul’s feet, Raul noticed and adjusted his position, then shot from close range, Atletico’s goalkeeper lunged quickly but the ball’s speed was evidently quicker, and the angle was tricky, rendering him completely unable to make the save.

The ball crossed the goal line, hitting the net.

0:1

Real Madrid takes the lead in scoring!

”Chen Zhong.”

”Robinho.”

”To the baseline, he faked, and gave it to Chen Zhong.”

”Passed it again.”

”Passed it again!”

”Cross pass!”

”Let it go, Raul, scored!”

”It’s in!”

”It’s in!!!”

”The adept cooperation, the seamless attack.”

”The match is not even a minute old.”

”To be precise, it was around 30 seconds.”

”Real Madrid scored the first goal right after the opening kick, simultaneously setting a new record for the fastest goal between the two teams.”

”This is also Raul’s 9th goal of the season, scoring his 16th goal in his 22nd appearance in the Madrid Derby!”

”This is also a powerful rebuttal from Real Madrid, Schuster, and Chen Zhong against Atletico Madrid’s pre-match taunts.”

”Didn’t you always say Aguero scored in 55 seconds with a flash strike!”

”Then let’s make it quicker!!!”

”The exact time is out, 33 seconds, no, 32 seconds, Real Madrid kickoff, flash strike, goal!”

”In this goal, Chen Zhong’s linkage and crucial let-go played a decisive role, as he drew the attention of the goalkeeper and defenders.”

”When everyone thought he’d shoot, a brilliantly feigned pass made Atletico’s defense a joke!”

Raul scored his 22nd goal of the Madrid Derby in that match.

The Atletico fans in the stands let out boos, Schuster roared with a fist pump, while the elegant Aguirre watched with a certain grace.

Aguero looked at Chen Zhong, a bit disheartened at heart, but quickly regained his spirits.

”This kid is kind of interesting.”

”But as long as I’m here, don’t even think that you can just score. This match is all on the line.”

”It’s a tense situation here at Estadio Vicente Calderón, and both teams are giving it their all. This game is a showcase of athletic prowess and fierce rivalry.”

As the referee blew the whistle, Aguero composed himself.

”Van Nistelrooy and Chen Zhong are set to kick off at the center circle...”
