I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 186: Chapter 67: Chen Figures It Out, Creates 5 Goals On His Own!

Santiago Bernabeu Stadium

Without any deliberate intention, Chen Zhong, having created yet another highlight in his career, didn’t think much about it; he simply didn’t want Robben riding on his shoulders.

But Robben didn’t know that!

He thought Chen Zhong had unlocked some new celebration pose with him, and was happily cooperating!

Compared to Real Madrid’s jubilant atmosphere, Valladolid seemed a bit complex, with some players feeling down, some angry, and others expressionless, uncertain of their thoughts.

The match proceeded to the 40th minute.

Chen Zhong and his teammate performed a one-two pass, delivering the ball to Baptista, who had run into position in front of the penalty area. Baptista was pulled down by the impatient goalkeeper on the right side of the penalty area.

The referee immediately called the foul and awarded the penalty.

”That attempt was somewhat reckless.”

”He directly brought Baptista down in front of the goal.”

”The referee awarded a penalty and issued a yellow card warning.”

”Raul is standing at the penalty spot.”

”He calmly converted the penalty into a goal.”

”That’s his 11th league goal this season.”

”It’s the 10th goal he scored in his 12 matches against Valladolid.”

”Raul, scoring twice, totally killed the game.”

”4:0”

Raul gently kissed his ring while running towards Chen Zhong, who led his teammates towards the corner flag to surround Raul.

Some fans felt a bit disappointed as they initially thought Raul would let Chen Zhong take the penalty.

Real Madrid’s fourth goal completely stunned Valladolid.

Soon, before the first half ended, Robben passed the ball from the wing to Chen Zhong inside the penalty area; Chen Zhong held off the defenders behind him and then passed it to the eager Soldado on his side.

Soldado didn’t stop the ball, executed a direct long-range shot, and sent the ball past the goalkeeper into the net.

5:0

This was Soldado’s second goal of the match and also marked Chen Zhong’s assist hat trick.

”5:0”

”5:0”

”This is simply a massacre!”

”Before the match, Valladolid’s head coach was full of confidence.”

”Believing if Almeria could win, they wouldn’t lose.”

”But reality taught them a harsh lesson.”

”Before the first half ended, Real Madrid led by 5 goals, with Soldado and Raul both scoring twice.”

”Chen Zhong also accomplished his career’s first assist hat trick.”

”He assisted Raul, Robben, and Soldado in scoring.”

”His future is incalculable.”

After scoring, Soldado immediately ran towards Chen Zhong; within the club, there were no secrets, and he knew his selection was somewhat related to Chen Zhong’s outstanding performance this season. After scoring the second goal, he and other players like Robben ran to Chen Zhong, making it seem as though Chen Zhong was the goal scorer.

This scene also caused a stir online.

[Wasn’t the recent goal scored by Soldado? How come everyone ran towards Chen Zhong?]

[Oh my goodness, what is Chen Zhong’s identity or status in Real Madrid?]

[Pepe should stop laughing! Whenever he laughs, his teeth appear quite eerie to me.]

[Haha, what good is performing well abroad? It seems like he doesn’t know how to serve his country; the Olympics are coming soon, and I heard he doesn’t want to compete for his homeland!]

[No, is the person above sick? I heard he wasn’t even called up!]

[Youngsters are too arrogant; without participating in warm-up games or friendlies, on what basis should he be selected? We have young overseas players in Barcelona and Chelsea now; Wu Lei and Zhang Linpeng may not be worse than Chen Zhong.]

...

With the Beijing Olympics approaching, attention is increasing, and the ”concern” for excellent athletes in the country is becoming more intense. Among them, Chen Zhong, who emerged strongly last year, naturally occupies a significant portion of the discussion.

The first half ends, and the halftime break flies by.

Both teams returned to the field again, and Valladolid seemed to have recognized the reality, starting the ”play it safe and don’t take risks” strategy, but their retreat didn’t make Real Madrid restrain itself; instead, it became even more wanton.

In the 49th minute, Chen Zhong intercepted the ball and passed it to Robben; after a feint, Robben passed the ball to Baptista, who shot strongly from outside the penalty area.

Unfortunately, it barely missed the goal.

But soon, Real Madrid came back; Chen Zhong tackled a Valladolid player from the side, and the ball fell to Higuain’s feet, who quickly sent the ball to Chen Zhong, and Chen Zhong performed a beautiful lob to deliver the ball to the charging Robben inside the penalty area.

Robben’s face flushes with excitement.

Chen Zhong passed to him again.

However, his shot from the left side of the penalty area was blocked by Valladolid’s defense with a flying tackle.

”This game seems to have no suspense anymore.”

”Real Madrid has completely controlled the pace of the game.”

”Valladolid is hardly threatening Real Madrid’s goal.”

”Pepe with a beautiful tackle, passes the ball to Chen Zhong, Chen Zhong passes to Higuain, Higuain passes back to Chen Zhong, and Chen Zhong passes to Robben.”

”Robben, holding the ball, breaks into the left side of the penalty area.”

”Moving inside.”

”Passes back.”

”Chen Zhong received the ball at the edge of the penalty area.”

At the edge of Valladolid’s penalty area, Chen Zhong received the ball while Real Madrid’s teammates were running for position, but Valladolid was evidently intimidated by Chen Zhong’s passes.
