Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 1320: Chapter 1321: Treasonous Conduct

Lu Xiaobu’s Weibo post was sent out.

In an instant, the entire entertainment industry was turned upside down.

”Wancheng Entertainment announces contract termination with Xu Kong and pursues the truth behind the falsification!”

”Hot Fried Chicken chooses to cancel Xu Kong’s endorsement and files a lawsuit, demanding compensation for image damage!”

”The drama ’Years of Bloom’ announces postponement of its release.”

”...”

Such news will not be elaborated further.

Anyway, anyone with a bit of sense started formally distancing themselves from Xu Kong the moment Lu Xiaobu’s notice was sent out.

Previously, targeting Xu Kong alone didn’t pose any problems.

However, didn’t they see the second Weibo post?

A backing?! Who is his backing?!

Are these companies and endorsements considered backing?

Not really!

Thus, to avoid trouble, they immediately switched people and canceled contracts.

Simply changing an endorsement to someone else is much easier for them than confronting Lu Xiaobu!

Just like that, all of a sudden, the internet was flooded with various termination contracts concerning Xu Kong, the hot young star.

It seemed that in just a few short minutes, this pop star turned obsolete!

Of course, the die-hard fans were still clamoring.

”Are you guys blind? Without our kongkong, you’re nothing!”

”Exactly, and you cancel our kongkong’s endorsement?! Without our kongkong, your sales will fall at least by half!”

”A bunch of trash!”

”What? Are you that afraid of Lu Xiaobu?! Who does he think he is?!”

”You’re still doing business! Can’t you see anything? Don’t let our kongkong take endorsements?!”

”You’re finished! I’m telling you, you’re finished!”

”...”

Very arrogant, very conceited, and their clamoring was intense!

However, at this moment, no one paid any attention to them!

They were like toys discarded in a corner, unnoticed.

Shout if you want! Yell if you want!

How long can you keep this up?

The traditional stars at least have works and acting skills.

But a mass-produced celebrity, made within three to four months?

Only capitalists!

And now a mere social media star dares to challenge capital?

Saying such a thing is almost like treason!

When they want you famous, you’re a star!

When they don’t, even singing on the street gets ignored!

This world actually has no shortage of good-looking guys who want fame. Even if not, a trip to Korea would suffice.

So, you don’t behave? Then get lost!

...

At this point, Xu Kong panicked!

His previous confidence vanished in an instant; the smile on his face could no longer hold!

His first reaction was to seek his boss—President Wan.

He hurriedly walked out, but saw President Wan at the entrance.

”Wan Qinglai! What do you mean?!” Xu Kong yelled, pointing at President Wan’s nose.

”Nothing special, our temple is small, can’t accommodate a big Buddha like you. Go find someone else if you want.”

Wan Qinglai waved his hand, saying casually: ”Oh, by the way, this villa is also company property, move out now!”

”Also, about the breach of contract fee, do take a look. Though we’ve worked together, I won’t pressure you; just gather it within two months!”

”Go on! Pack up, and prepare for the next artist to move in.”

Wan Qinglai said casually, and after finishing, gestured behind him.

Those people immediately went in to start cleaning the house.

”You! Aren’t you afraid that I’ll find Lu Hui?!” Xu Kong trembled with rage, his expression twisted!

”Go ahead, feel free.” Wan Qinglai sighed and waved his hand: ”If she really helps you, bring her to me, I’ll kneel for you.”

He was being honest.

He hadn’t gotten angry earlier because he was waiting for news from Lu Hui.

In the end, Lu Xiaobu made things clear, but Lu Hui hadn’t spoken.

Alright, he could only choose not to provoke Lu Xiaobu.

As for if Lu Hui really spoke up for Xu Kong, then we’ll deal with that later!

”Fine! You wait and see!” Xu Kong stormed out: ”I’ll make you greet me on your knees when I return! Damn! Traitor! I’ve earned this company so much money, and yet they dump me for a wastrel?! They even want me to pay the breach fee?! Just wait!”

Wan Qinglai watched Xu Kong’s back, shaking his head.

Has he grown dumber after interacting so much with those young fans?

Or did Lu Hui give him some kind of promise, making him this arrogant?

Forget it, no need to overthink, Lu Hui and Lu Xiaobu can deal with it themselves, he’s out.

...

Xu Kong furiously got into a taxi, yes, a taxi.

His car had been confiscated!

Then he started calling Lu Hui.

The call connected.

”Hello, darling.” Xu Kong said to the person on the other end in a nauseatingly sweet voice.

”Xiaokong, what’s up? Just a moment!” A slightly sharp voice came over.

The sound of panting could be heard faintly in the background.

Clearly busy with something.

And the woman didn’t bother disguising, angrily yelling: ”Get out! Damn useless! Good-looking but useless!”

Xu Kong guessed what was happening.

Anger flashed across his face.

Even though he knew he was just a boy toy, he still hated being cheated on!

But what can he do?

He can only hide his anger!

”Xiaokong, do you have time now? I miss you!” Lu Hui said with a tone of dissatisfaction.

It’s obvious what she’s thinking.

”Yes, I’m coming right over!” Xu Kong rejoiced, eagerly nodding.

...

Soon, the two met.

Lu Hui, around thirty-five years old, slightly plump, but overall, still presentable.

Plus, lacking no money, well-maintained, just looking at her body, she scores at least seventy-five!

But that’s provided you don’t look at the face.

Her face bears a severe burn scar, stretching from the left eye to the right corner of the mouth, stitched with scars. It’s akin to giant centipedes crawling across, making anyone who sees it uneasy.

Xu Kong knew this, as it’s the aftermath of a childhood burn and skin graft for Lu Hui.

Although Lu Hui’s family is powerful and hired top-notch doctors for the best surgical repairs, complete restoration is impossible.

Not that the doctors are incompetent, but Lu Hui’s body is somewhat special, unrecoverable.

Several attempts later, they finally had no choice but to give up.

Thus, this incident had twisted Lu Hui’s personality to become obsessed with matters of affection, even liking S&M.

Her family allowed her excess indulgence without much constraint.

Since things were like this, any control would seem too cold-hearted!

Xu Kong held back his urge to vomit, flashing a radiant smile and greeting her.

He knew what would happen next!
