Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 1120: Chapter 1119: I Still Want to Hit Him

The train moved steadily forward, and Lu Xiaobu alternated between eating and sleeping, occasionally pondering life, without a care in the world. Every now and then, he would sigh, ”Life is so dull!”

Ye Changsheng did even less, just lying there clenching his fists, constantly suppressing his urge to hit someone!

In contrast, Pan Yang and Zheng Hai were incredibly busy.

They were doing everything, worrying about every little thing.

Moreover, to prevent the train attendants from disturbing the two ”lords,” they handled all matters themselves.

Luckily, even though the chubby guy was a second-generation rich kid, due to others’ disdain, he hadn’t shied away from these menial tasks and did them competently.

Just now, Pan Yang had finished one such task and was walking back with a bowl of instant noodles.

Having finally cleaned up, he had opened the compartment door to let some air in and was preparing to take a bite to replenish himself.

As he was walking back, someone had just hurried onto the train, clutching a child.

Carelessly, that person bumped into the chubby guy, knocking the noodles out of his hands.

”What are you doing?!” The chubby guy’s temper flared instantly. He always maintained his composure in front of Lu Xiaobu, enduring any beating or scolding, but after all, he was still a second-generation rich kid with a temper!

”Oh, sorry, sorry, I was holding the child and wasn’t paying attention,” a man quickly apologized.

The chubby guy saw it was a baby, so he waved it off, ”It’s fine, it’s fine, as long as the child wasn’t burned.”

”Thank you, thank you,” the man said, somewhat flustered, perhaps realizing that the chubby guy wasn’t an ordinary person, and hurriedly left with the child.

At this moment.

”Hey, Fatty,” Lu Xiaobu’s listless voice called out.

”Hey, Young Master Lu, what’s up? I’ll clean up the noodles right away,” the chubby guy responded immediately.

”Go grab that kid and then call the police. Lastly, beat that guy to a pulp,” Lu Xiaobu said weakly, gazing out the window.

”Huh?” The chubby guy was stunned. Why on earth would he snatch someone’s kid?

He looked at Zheng Hai, who was equally baffled.

Finally, he gritted his teeth, ”Alright, Young Master Lu, I’m on it.”

No matter, since Young Master Lu said to call the police, it must mean nothing excessive is going on.

So, he turned and shouted at the man who had just left, ”Stop!”

The man, upon hearing this, ran off without even turning his head!

Seeing this, the chubby guy realized something was up!

Damn! There really is something wrong! Why else would he run?!

Despite his size, the chubby guy ran nimbly, like a tank, charging straight at the man.

Zheng Hai followed closely behind.

As the chubby guy grabbed the man, Zheng Hai snatched the child and began calling the police.

”What are you doing? Give me back my child! Snatching a kid in broad daylight?!” the man yelled, panicking.

Upon hearing the word ”child,” everyone nearby gathered immediately.

”What’s going on? Snatching a child?!”

”Who’s audacious enough to do that?!”

”Call the police, call the police!”

”...”

Although the Heavenly Dynasty has become a bit indifferent due to some bad apples among the elderly, when it comes to children, people certainly don’t stand by and watch!

”Don’t worry, we’ve already called the police.” Zheng Hai took out his phone, showing it, and coldly stared at the man, ”We strongly suspect this person is a human trafficker!”

”You’re talking nonsense!” The man panicked, shouting back and trying to grab the child, ”Give me back my baby!”

”Screw you!” The chubby guy threw a powerful punch.

Young Master Lu did say to beat him to a pulp!

So beat him up!

”Bang! Thud!”

The chubby guy’s heft wasn’t just for show; each punch landed solidly, making the man howl in agony.

Before long, he couldn’t even cry out anymore.

Soon, the train’s police officers came over and surrounded the chubby guy and Zheng Hai, ”Hand over the child, stop the violence!”

”Here, the child’s face is turning blue; is there a doctor around to take a look?” Zheng Hai handed the child to the officers.

The officers, seeing this, frowned.

These two young men don’t seem like child-snatchers!

So their attitude improved significantly, ”Alright, we understand, come with us to clarify the situation.”

Very quickly, the truth came out.

After all, the man had only boarded at the previous station.

As suspected, the man was a human trafficker who had snatched the child and was fleeing. He even had a ticket for the next station.

If they hadn’t caught him before the next station, the child might have disappeared forever.

Immediately, the passengers who had doubted the two applauded enthusiastically!

”Well done! Well done!”

”Heroes! Amazing!”

”Who said the people of the Heavenly Dynasty have cold hearts?”

”Come, come, young man, I have some walnuts from my home, please, have some!”

”Yes, yes, I also have some local specialties, take them, take them!”

”...”

The passengers eagerly handed over items to the two young men. Many of them were parents and naturally understood how heart-wrenching losing a child would be!

And as for the human trafficker?!

No one paid him any mind anymore!

In fact, many pretended not to notice, stepping on him a couple of times!

Serves him right! Beat him to death!

Even the police officers turned a blind eye to this; they themselves wanted to stomp him if given the chance!

Pan Yang and Zheng Hai were suddenly surrounded by this wave of enthusiasm, feeling both embarrassed and overwhelmed, ”It’s, it’s our duty! Our duty! Ma’am, that’s too much, too much!”

And so, carrying a huge pile of food, they went back.

And they went back amidst a round of applause.

When they entered the room, they placed all the food around Lu Xiaobu, ”Boss, you’re incredible! Just one look, and you knew that guy was a human trafficker?! My goodness, that’s amazing!”

The two of them were truly a bit shocked.

When the man passed by them, they hadn’t noticed a thing.

But Young Master Bu, with just one glance, without even really looking, had already determined the man’s identity. It was frightening!

”If he were the child’s parent, he wouldn’t have rushed so recklessly, and wouldn’t have ignored the child after spilling the noodles. So he definitely wasn’t a parent,” Lu Xiaobu said casually, wiping an apple and looking out the window.

”What if he was a friend or relative?” the chubby guy asked, ”Then wouldn’t that mean we beat up the wrong person?”

”So what if you did? With your identities, do you care about a possible mistake?” Lu Xiaobu replied calmly, without a hint of emotion in his voice.

”Uh...”

Zheng Hai and Pan Yang’s mouths twitched!

You make such a good point that we can’t even argue!

Ye Changsheng, lying on his side, also relaxed his clenched fists.

The remorse he had been feeling suddenly dissipated.

Even in such situations, Lu Xiaobu remained compassionate, showing that if such a person turned evil, it would be the greatest loss for the world.

”Ah, life is so dull!” Lu Xiaobu’s wistful voice came again!

”Grr!”

Ye Changsheng’s fists clenched again!

Not regretting is one thing!

But! I still want to hit him!
