Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 994: Chapter 992: Deceiving the Heavens to Cross the Sea

The overwhelming external pressure has left the entire Japan on edge!

The Japanese officials are the same; they are not clear on what the Japan Emperor is planning to do!

However, they dare not ask, so they can only bear the pressure in silence, waiting for the Japan Emperor to personally come out and explain.

”What exactly is the Emperor planning to do!”

”This matter wasn’t even discussed with us, we can’t afford to be hasty!”

”Yes! Suddenly pulling this move, we’re completely unprepared!”

”What are we supposed to do! The external pressure is only growing by the day, if we don’t get an explanation soon, there will be trouble!”

”What should we do! Has anyone inquired with Kojima’s side?! What did he say?!”

”Kojima said he doesn’t know either, he said the Emperor has been very close with Ghost Fox recently!”

”Ghost Fox?! The Ghost Fox from the Daochuan Society?!”

”Exactly him!”

”If it’s him, then good! Ghost Fox has always been known as a wise man! Plus, the downfall of the Daochuan Society is closely linked to Lu Xiaobu, logically and sentimentally, he should assist the Emperor!”

”That’s true! But without knowing any details, how can we explain this to the public!”

”Wait! Just wait a bit longer!”

”...”

Speak of Cao Cao, and Cao Cao appears!

Ghost Fox walked in.

”Good news for you all, sirs!” Ghost Fox leisurely walked into the meeting room, bowing as he spoke.

”Ghost Fox?! You’re here?! Do you have a message from the Emperor?!” the Japan Prime Minister immediately asked!

”That’s right!” Ghost Fox replied firmly: ”The Emperor has made a decision! It will be announced publicly, claiming that this matter was decided by the Emperor alone!”

”Moreover, the reconstruction of the Jingguo Shrine is not real; instead, it’s meant to turn it into a royal family shrine!”

”And tomorrow morning, the Emperor will personally host the reconstruction ceremony at the site of the former Jingguo Shrine!”

Upon hearing Ghost Fox, everyone’s eyes lit up!

They are old foxes; how could they not understand!

”What a clever ruse of deceiving others while hiding one’s real intentions!”

”Our country is a constitutional monarchy, and the royal family building a private shrine has nothing to do with the government! This way, we can easily step out of this mess!”

”Indeed! And once the Jingguo Shrine is successfully rebuilt, what exactly happens then won’t be clear to anyone!”

”Hahaha! Truly a brilliant plan!”

”...”

Everyone exchanged knowing smiles, clearly understanding!

The current predicament of Japan is merely an excuse for the outside world!

And now that the royal family is willing to be that excuse, it’s naturally the best possible scenario!

Some may ask, will anyone believe this?!

No, not even a ghost would believe it!

But, so what?!

Do they have evidence?!

Just like the time with Lu Xiaobu, everyone in the world knew Lu Xiaobu was the culprit of burning down the Jingguo Shrine!

But, did Lu Xiaobu face any punishment?!

No! Not at all!

So, many things do not need others to believe, as long as there is a narrative, that’s enough!

”You all are indeed wise!” Ghost Fox flattered, continuing: ”Of course, since the royal family acted without counsel, naturally you all won’t provide governmental assistance!”

”Therefore, the security of the Emperor tomorrow is entrusted entirely to our Daochuan Society, but for the Emperor’s personal protection, a few secret personnel must be arranged!”

”Of course!” the Japan Prime Minister revealed a fox-like smile.

Looking at Ghost Fox, he was more satisfied than ever!

This lad truly possesses great wisdom, handling matters seamlessly!

With a few words, he had already prepared their excuse!

What?! Didn’t see it?!

Take a closer look!

It’s that phrase, acted without counsel!

This is the perfect excuse!

”However, there’s one more thing to trouble you all with!” Ghost Fox’s eyes turned serious: ”I’ve seen the statement from the Heavenly Dynasty, and according to my investigation of Lu Xiaobu, he will definitely come! So...”

Before Ghost Fox finished, the Japan Prime Minister chimed in: ”Therefore, there will be drills tomorrow at all major airports, ports, and places known for illegal immigration!”

Upon hearing this, Ghost Fox and the Japan Prime Minister exchanged a knowing smile!

If Lu Xiaobu doesn’t come, so be it, the Jingguo Shrine’s rebuilding plan will proceed smoothly!

But if he does come!

Hmmph!

They won’t be blamed for being ruthless!

”Then I shall take my leave!” Ghost Fox bowed once more and left the scene!

As he lowered his head, a cold smile curled at the corner of his mouth!

A bunch of fools!

They think they are plotting against the whole world, that Mr. Xiaobu has laid out a vast net!

But little do they know, they are just pieces on the chessboard!

And Mr. Xiaobu is the player!

However, if Shadow isn’t controlled by Mr. Xiaobu, he too could be a player!

No, no! Shouldn’t think like this! Shouldn’t think like this!

But Mr. Xiaobu hasn’t told him the follow-up handling plan, what on earth should he do?!

While his mind wandered, he exited the meeting room!

...

When everything was properly prepared.

The statement from the Japan Emperor finally came out!

”The reconstruction of the Jingguo Shrine is not to provoke other nations, but merely to turn it into a shrine.”

Subsequently, the Japanese government issued its statement!

”This is an independent action by the Emperor, and due to the special circumstances, the government will neither support nor oppose.”

Once these messages came out, they instantly made the already turbulent public opinion boil over!

”Oh please! What a blatant lie, who are you trying to fool?!”

”An independent action?! You’re just passing the buck!”

”Enough with the nonsense! Want to build a shrine, go build it elsewhere! Not there!”

”Hey hey hey! Where our Emperor builds a shrine is none of your business?!”

”Exactly! This is Japan! Whether we build it or not, and where, is not up to you to decide!”

”This is a conspiracy! Don’t try to fool us! Permanent members of the United Nations, please make sure to address this issue!”

”Enough with using the United Nations to pressure us! This matter is none of your business!”

”Yeah, mind your own business and stay out of ours!”

”Handle your own affairs first, then come talk to us!”

”Get lost! Mind your own business and leave us alone!”

”Long live the Emperor! Long live the Emperor!”

”The Jingguo Shrine must be rebuilt!”

”...”
