Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 984: Chapter 982: The Plot Begins

Sun Wanqi left the hotel and went to the organizer’s place.

”Hello, Miss Sun.” The organizer politely said to Sun Wanqi.

”Hello, Mr. Kojima.” Sun Wanqi shook hands with this man named Kojima from Japan.

However, the organizer actually didn’t let go of Sun Wanqi’s hand until she frowned and pulled her hand back. Kojima still had a look of reluctance, which made Sun Wanqi extremely disgusted.

”Sorry, Miss Sun, I have never seen such a beautiful person. I lost control for a moment, please forgive me.” Kojima bowed and apologized.

”Let’s get down to business first.” Although Sun Wanqi was still annoyed, it wasn’t a big deal as the other party apologized, so she decided not to make a fuss!

However, she didn’t notice that Kojima’s lowered head showed no hint of apology but was instead filled with greed.

Japan is not the Heavenly Dynasty, an apology doesn’t mean anything to them, just like a mere formality.

Apologizing doesn’t necessarily mean they truly regret or acknowledge their mistake!

Therefore, when Kojima heard Sun Wanqi forgave him, he didn’t feel grateful but instead was full of ridicule.

”Today’s task is to go to the earthquake-stricken area to comfort them and also promote the concert.” Kojima arranged.

”Okay, I’ll follow your arrangements.” Sun Wanqi nodded, having no objections.

Thus, they headed toward the affected area.

Along the way, the sight of the victims occasionally tugged at Sun Wanqi’s heartstrings.

Putting everything else aside, ordinary people are just ordinary people, they’re also human and suffering.

”Let’s go down and help them.” Sun Wanqi said to Kojima.

When Kojima heard this, a flash of anger crossed his face, but he immediately returned to normal: ”We better not, we each have our own tasks. If we don’t stick to them, things will get chaotic.”

Sun Wanqi felt strange hearing Kojima’s words. She really didn’t understand why just helping the suffering victims was excessive?!

Especially the moment of anger that crossed Kojima’s face just now, it confused her immensely!

However, she didn’t think much about it, considering she wasn’t familiar with Japanese customs, so she decided not to interfere too much!

...

Upon arrival, they began the promotion.

But, what troubled and confused Sun Wanqi was that these people were clearly disaster victims, their faces full of the sorrow of losing loved ones, yet Kojima was enthusiastically promoting their performance.

This led to the victims looking at them with resentment, making Sun Wanqi feel uncomfortable.

She was deeply puzzled, wasn’t Kojima supposed to be Japanese?!

To actually provoke these victims like this!

But she still didn’t speak up.

After all, she had already told Kojima that all her earnings from this performance would be donated!

She thought things would be much better once Kojima mentioned her decision!

But!

Even until the end, Sun Wanqi didn’t hear Kojima mention anything about donating the proceeds.

This made her furrow her brows continuously.

However, interrupting directly wasn’t very polite, so she held back until after stepping off stage, she finally asked, ”Mr. Kojima, did you forget something?!”

”What thing?” Kojima feigned ignorance.

”The thing about donating the proceeds!” Sun Wanqi said unhappily.

”Oh, oh, oh, I forgot, sorry! Sorry!” Kojima suddenly looked like he realized, then perfunctorily bowed in apology!

He sneered coldly in his heart, forgot?! How could that be?! I purposely didn’t say it, it’s part of a big plan!

Sun Wanqi was angry but had no choice, she could only say helplessly, ”Let’s go!”

So, they started heading back.

During the process, Sun Wanqi clearly heard some people’s discussions.

”Baka! Our Japan is stricken by disaster, and these despicable Heavenly Dynasty people still come to hold a concert! Is this mocking us?!”

”Exactly, it’s disgusting! Just as vile as that Lu Xiaobu!”

”I’ve realized, these Heavenly Dynasty people are simply relishing in our misfortune. I’ve already seen a lot of gloating remarks online! I initially thought those were unintentional words from netizens! But seeing Sun Wanqi’s actions today, I understand now, they must be doing it on purpose!”

”Now you see how nasty these people from China are right?! I’ve always said that they can only get rid of their ethnic inferiorities under our great Japan’s rule!”

”I used to support peace, but now, I don’t think so! I declare I’m joining the Left!”

”Disgusting, it’s just too disgusting, we’re not even saying you have to donate, but if you don’t even have the right attitude, that’s really excessive! Unforgivable!”

”Kick Sun Wanqi out! She’s just as disgusting as Lu Xiaobu!”

”Yes, one burned our Jingguo Shrine, and the other came to make money off us during a disaster! These Heavenly Dynasty people are just too outrageous!”

”Right! Right! What happened before just happened, but this incident is absolutely unforgivable!”

”Kick Sun Wanqi out! Kick her out!”

”...”

The Japanese people were in an uproar!

This was understandable, previously Lu Xiaobu had embarrassed Japan, now that they’re in disaster, another one came cheerily to make money, such actions are akin to defecating on their heads, who wouldn’t be angry?!

If all this were real, it might be tolerable.

But, as you can see, there’s a huge conspiracy behind all of this!

...

Sun Wanqi returned to the hotel and angrily threw her bag onto the bed!

It’s too much! It’s too much!

She had clearly arranged everything, yet now, due to a misunderstanding, she has become a public target!

This whole situation is really excessive!

”What’s wrong?” Lu Xiaobu opened the door and came in: ”What’s wrong?”

”Nothing! Get out!” Sun Wanqi said sulkily.

She needed to vent now, not wanting outsiders to see.

”Did you get scolded?”

Lu Xiaobu casually walked in, sat comfortably on the sofa, and said leisurely.

”How did you know?” Sun Wanqi was taken aback.

Lu Xiaobu hadn’t gone out, and the matter hadn’t spread online yet, how could he know?!

”Want to know?” Lu Xiaobu said with a chuckle.

”I do.” Sun Wanqi nodded.

”Hehehe!” Lu Xiaobu let out a sly laugh, rubbing his chin, his mouth curving into a sinister smile!
