Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 699: Chapter 697 Ready [2nd Update]

Lu Group’s Alinbaba is about to launch, everyone knows that.

However, Lu Xiaobu’s extremely low demands on suppliers have caused a huge stir in business circles.

First is Lin Feng’s side.

”Young Master Lin, the news has come. As you expected, apart from the e-sports industry, suppliers have proposed the condition not to provide certification!”

Housekeeper Jia said admiringly.

”Indeed.” Lin Feng smiled and asked, ”What did Lu Xiaobu do? Raise the price?!”

”No! He accepted this condition!” Housekeeper Jia shook his head.

”What?!”

Lin Feng immediately stood up from his chair, furrowing his brows: ”Are you sure of this news?!”

”Absolutely certain! Lu Xiaobu has accepted these suppliers’ conditions of not providing certification!” Housekeeper Jia assuredly said: ”Isn’t this what you anticipated?!”

”I guessed that after they proposed the conditions, Lu Xiaobu would use other means to make them yield! But I didn’t expect Lu Xiaobu to actually dare to agree!” Lin Feng paced back and forth on the floor, utterly puzzled.

”Right, Lu Group has introduced a ’Lu Xiaobu Certification,’ seemingly wanting to use Lu Xiaobu’s own reputation for support!”

Housekeeper Jia thought for a moment and continued.

”So that’s it.” Lin Feng’s brows relaxed upon hearing this news and looked at Housekeeper Jia with a smile: ”Do you know what this act of Lu Xiaobu’s is called?!”

”I don’t know.” The secretary shook his head.

”It’s called, ’keeping up appearances but suffering for it!’” Lin Feng laughed heartily: ”This Lu Xiaobu! To not lose face in this aspect, he actually gritted his teeth and accepted the conditions!”

He was very excited in his heart; he couldn’t wait to see the moment of Lu Xiaobu’s failure!

Yes, the name Lu Xiaobu is indeed substantial!

But that’s only for his hardcore fans.

In the eyes of the general public, they’ll only think—what about it? Just because of your three words ’Lu Xiaobu,’ we have to pay a high price?!

...

Master Xue Yun had just finished meditation.

”Mage, Lu Xiaobu has lowered the demands on suppliers, lowering the supply to thirty percent, not pressing for payment, and even not needing any sort of manufacturer certification!”

Master Xue Yun frowned upon hearing the news: ”What does this mean?”

”I heard that Lin Feng is pressing them!”

”I know.” Master Xue Yun nodded: ”I mean Lu Xiaobu. Why would he choose to do this? This method is no different from digging one’s own grave!”

If he were in the same situation, he would have chosen to raise prices rather than to give up certifications!

After all, Lu Xiaobu’s main selling point is quality!

Without quality certification, how can he operate?!

Of course, if it were him, he wouldn’t have chosen to confront Lin Feng head-on!

He had always thought that Lu Xiaobu was rather wise. Why does this decision seem so foolish!

...

As for Xia Jie and Zhan Longyan, the two of them laughed heartily.

”This Lu Xiaobu is really a fool! He actually accepted such conditions!”

”I heard he invested seven billion yuan!”

”Tsk, tsk, tsk! He’s going to lose everything now!”

”He really thinks Lin Feng is like us! Lin Feng could easily destroy him, couldn’t he?!”

”When Lin Feng defeats Lu Xiaobu, I will have my revenge!”

”En, that day will come eventually!”

”...”

The rivalry between Zhan Longyan, Xia Jie, and Lu Xiaobu has not been just a one- or two-day affair!

If Master Xue Yun wasn’t holding them back, they would certainly kick Lu Xiaobu while he’s down!

They are all eagerly awaiting the moment of Lu Xiaobu’s downfall!

...

After everything was prepared, Lu Xiaobu’s Alinbaba Company officially opened for business!

The first to be launched was a self-operated and flagship store website named Yuèjì.

As for Alipay, it still needs more time to solidify!

One must eat one bite at a time!

...

Regarding the newly launched Yuèjì website, people showed great interest and accessed the site.

They wanted to see if Lu Xiaobu would really raise prices!

On the surface, this website didn’t seem much different from the newly revamped Taobao, with a user-friendly interface and an array of products!

However, once they clicked further, they noticed the difference.

That is, the prices were indeed higher than those on the Taobao website, for every single product!

This instantly sparked discussions online.

”It’s actually true!”

”My goodness! Young Master Bu, you’ve changed!”

”Why buy more expensive when I can buy cheaper?!”

”Expensive I can tolerate, but many products don’t even have manufacturer certifications?!”

”Without manufacturer certifications, how can we tell if it’s real or fake?! What if we spend money and end up with a counterfeit? We’d be crying then!”

”Seriously, I’m out!”

”...”

As a result, traffic on the Yuèjì website plummeted after experiencing a peak just after opening.

This scene made all staff at Alinbaba extremely distressed, especially CEO Fei Jian, who was cursing angrily: ”I said it wouldn’t work, it wouldn’t work! Now look what happened!”

Lin Feng watched the traffic curve of the Yuèjì website on his computer with a cold smile at the corner of his mouth: ”Lu Xiaobu, I want to see how you’re going to fight me!”

A shopping website is still a website, without traffic, it’s the same as losing its foundation, what are you playing at now?!

Master Xue Yun also frowned: ”What on earth is Lu Xiaobu doing?! If he has any tricks up his sleeve, he should’ve used them by now! No movement at all?!”

Xia Jie and Zhan Longyan were even celebrating with a toast.

”Hahaha, Lu Xiaobu should give up now!”

”Traffic plummeted! The traffic from the opening didn’t even retain a fifth! Not to mention making a profit, if he can keep the losses under fifty billion, that’d be amazing!”

”Awesome!”

”Tonight I’m treating, let’s go out!”

”Great! Just what I wanted!”

”...”

The suppliers, watching this unfold, also sighed.

”Alas, it’s become like this just after launching! How can we continue?!”

”Yes! Good thing all transactions are cash-based, if it drags on, we’d be the ones suffering!”

”Do you think we’ve been too harsh?! Not leaving any way out, if Lu Xiaobu somehow makes a comeback, we’re doomed!”

”Comeback? With what?!”

”True! Alas! We should probably focus on maintaining a good relationship with Taobao!”

”...”

The business circles are all pessimistic about Lu Xiaobu’s Yuèjì website!

They have no confidence in Lu Xiaobu!

However, Lu Xiaobu himself was leisurely and unconcerned.

”Sister Lan, have you prepared what I asked you to?”

Lu Xiaobu looked at Liang Lan and inquired.

”All set!” Liang Lan immediately nodded.

”Good, we’ve done everything we can; now, let’s await the arrival of our golden age.” Lu Xiaobu sprawled on the sofa, quietly waiting!
