Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 370: Chapter 369: Behind the Scenes? [6th Update, Bonus for Star Reward]

Nie Lixin arrived late with Lu Xiaobu.

Upon arrival, they saw these people squabbling.

”What are you all quarreling about?”

Nie Lixin immediately reprimanded, then smiled at Lu Xiaobu and said, ”Mr. Lu, sorry for the joke this has become.”

”It’s fine.” Lu Xiaobu waved his hand and said.

Nie Lixin grimaced as he introduced these people to Lu Xiaobu’s identity and the show that was to be produced.

When these people heard that it was actually Lu Xiaobu...

Their faces were all smiles.

”Young Master Lu, hello!”

”Young Master Bu, greetings!”

”Young Master Lu, please take a seat.”

”...”

Well, they were even more cordial than when they saw Nie Lixin.

No way around it, Lu Xiaobu was wealthy!

Lu Xiaobu was pleased with this reaction: ”Reward each person with five thousand.”

Li Jin came forward to distribute the money.

”Thanks to Young Master Bu, Young Master Bu, for generations to come, supreme over Jianghu!”

Everyone immediately expressed their gratitude.

Someone said, weren’t you supposed to give Lu Xiaobu a hard time?

What? What did you say?

We didn’t hear clearly; we have selective amnesia!

Another said, for five thousand bucks, you would sell your integrity?!

Heh heh, if you really had the money, for five thousand bucks, isn’t a compliment worth it to you?

Come on, give me five thousand, and I will give you two compliments!

One more than Young Master Bu!

Seeing this, Nie Lixin thought, alright, his part was done, and he quietly slipped away.

Things got back on track.

These talents wrinkled their brows once they understood the program that Lu Xiaobu wanted to do.

However you put it, they were still talents and had some capital.

Elder Wang frowned and said, ”Young Master Bu, are you really going to do this show?”

”Of course, I am.” Xiaobu shrugged. ”Do I look like I’m joking?”

One named Li Zuo suggested, ”Don’t mind me saying this, Young Master Bu.”

”Actually, this ’The Voice’ could totally be tweaked.”

”On the surface, we can fool the audience with this gimmick of not looking at faces, just listening to voices.”

”Then, in reality, continue to follow the usual selection show norms and rules, mostly inviting contestants who are passably good-looking.”

”We can also give the coaches a heads up, letting the celebrity coaches know the contestants’ info beforehand, pre-arranging some good-looking contenders who are hot topics and can draw attention. This way, we can still achieve our goal.”

Another named Zhang Feng lit up: ”This is not bad at all!”

Lu Xiaobu sneered: ”Nonsense! Since when do I, Lu Xiaobu, have to pander to others or engage in dirty tricks?”

Instantly vetoed!

Everyone smirked and fell silent.

They felt the same as Nie Lixin and thought it wouldn’t work.

After all, this new show would affect the future and performance of their new production team members.

They were indeed deeply concerned and could not afford to be careless.

But now with Lu Xiaobu being stubbornly opinionated, they were truly at a loss.

After some thought, they still gritted their teeth and asked, ”Young Master Bu, did you make a bet? A 0.8% viewership rating?”

”Yeah!” Lu Xiaobu nodded and laughed, ”You all are pretty well-informed.”

The group was speechless. This place was small; what could they possibly not know?

If they didn’t know in the beginning, fine, but now after understanding the situation and still not knowing, they’d be fools.

Li Zuo was somewhat dizzy: ”A 0.8% viewership rating? Young Master Bu, do you not realize the significance of this number?”

Zhang Feng also looked unhappy: ”Hot Voice is the singing show with the highest viewership and most successful reputation this year, and its peak rating was just around 0.8%!”

”Even then, during their lows, it might be 0.7%, or even less. Our new show, starting with a demand for 0.8% average viewership rating?”

”Young Master Bu, are you really not going to reconsider?!”

”Quit the damn yapping. Whatever I say, that’s what you’ll do.” Lu Xiaobu got impatient.

Why were they all like Nie Lixin?

0.8%?

Would ”The Voice of Heavenly Dynasty” not reach 0.8%?

What a joke?!

Although he didn’t know details, he remembered that back on Earth, ”The Voice of Heavenly Dynasty” had ratings in the units of percentages, not fraction of a percent.

Let the show debut and smack down their disbelief.

Can’t be bothered to explain anymore.

This time, Lu Xiaobu actually wanted to take personal command.

Because none of these people believed in ”Heavenly Dynasty’s Good Voice”; at least Chen Feiyang believed in ”A Chinese Odyssey” back then, so it was reassuring to leave it to him.

But what about now?

Not a single believer, how could he be at ease?

Holding this state of mind, even if it’s doable, it’s not acceptable!

So, better do it himself!

”Where’s the venue?” Lu Xiaobu gestured grandly.

”I’ll lead the way for you,” said Li Zuo, heading on in front.

Upon seeing the venue.

”Uh... this small?”

Lu Xiaobu surveyed the venue and to be frank, he was somewhat dissatisfied, it was too small.

”Young Master Bu, this is already the largest venue the station has,”

Li Zuo said with a wry smile, helplessly.

He didn’t understand why Station Manager Nie Lixin was insane to the point of giving Lu Xiaobu the biggest venue.

”Uh... let’s change locations.”

Lu Xiaobu said to Liang Lan, ”Sister Lan, take care of this, how about fifty million. I trust you with this!”

”Alright, Young Master.”

Liang Lan felt resigned; Young Master Bu was acting temperamental because he was provoked by these people.

That’s how Young Master Bu is, if he doesn’t do something, he doesn’t do it at all; if he does, he does it to the best.

It looks like it’s time to think of a solution.

After all, the Young Master can’t wait.

”And the equipment?” Lu Xiaobu continued to inquire.

”These are the latest equipment from our station, last year...” Li Zuo continued.

”That’s enough, don’t say more, Sister Lan, how much for the best equipment?”

Lu Xiaobu interrupted Li Zuo.

”At least ten million,”

Liang Lan pondered before answering.

”Fine, also fifty million, get two sets, one to use, one as backup.”

Lu Xiaobu was bold and extravagant.

”Yes, Young Master.”

Liang Lan nodded.

The others swallowed their saliva one after another.

Is this the world of the wealthy?

What, hadn’t even started doing anything yet, and just the venue and equipment have already cost a hundred million?!

Sorry, poverty has limited our imagination.

After finishing this discussion, there was a sudden silence at the scene.

Everyone exchanged glances. Was that it?

Aren’t the venue and equipment just the basics?

Why stop talking after arranging those?

What they didn’t know was that Lu Xiaobu was looking at the detailed planning book the system gave him.

But since they didn’t know, they had to ask.

”Young Master Bu?” Li Zuo tentatively asked, ”What about the rest?”

”The rest? What rest?” Lu Xiaobu was momentarily puzzled.

”Like the production and copywriting for the promotional video?” Li Zuo sighed, Young Master Lu really was an amateur!

”Oh, that, I’ll find someone to do it,” Lu Xiaobu nodded.

Zhang Feng was flabbergasted, ”What about inviting the coaches to join...?”

Lu Xiaobu said, ”I’ll handle the contacts.”

Wu Yi was taken aback, ”Then the advertising slogans...”

Lu Xiaobu replied, ”Once the website is up, I’ll get someone to write them.”

Wu Yi, ”But surely for advertising sponsors and title sponsorship you can’t also...”

Lu Xiaobu said, ”All under my company.”

”Huh?!”

Everyone was dumbfounded!

You’re doing it all!?

Then what are we here for!?

Lu Xiaobu was really on a roll this time; if he didn’t do it, he wouldn’t bother, but since he was doing it personally, he would do it to the best!

0.8%?

If I don’t crush the universe, consider it my loss!
