Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 364: Chapter 363 Trapped and Feeling like Crying [5th update, bonus for reaching the star target]

The two principals of Beijing University exchanged glances before saying in unison, ”We would like to invite Lu Xiaobu to be our guest professor.”

”No, thanks!”

Lu Xiaobu immediately refused as soon as they finished speaking.

What a joke.

He could barely be bothered to write calligraphy, even for his second brother!

And now they want him to be a professor?

Absolutely not!

As a professor, one has to teach classes.

When does he have time to teach?

What a drag!

Plus, if he became a professor, how would he flirt with girls?

Teacher-student relationships?

Although things are liberal these days, liberalism doesn’t mean ignoring the impact. After all, he might not care, but others certainly will!

Looking at it this way, there’s not a single benefit!

Maybe someone would say, becoming well-known could boost business!

True.

But why does he need business?!

He just wants to spend money!

Speaking of spending, it’s been a while since he has wasted any.

He glanced at the three principals, thought about education, and then the Hope Primary School came to mind!

So, he picked up the phone: ”Hey, Sister Lan, how much does it cost to build a Hope Primary School?”

”Only two hundred thousand? That cheap?”

”Oh, because the local government will make up the shortfall?”

”Then forget the subsidy. Let’s just build a hundred Hope Primary Schools for fun! It’s been a while since I’ve wasted money!”

”Only fifty million? Seems a bit low, but okay, let’s do it!”

”Name? Let’s name them after League of Legends heroes!”

”Let’s name the first school Galen Primary School! The school’s motto will be ’As long as I stand, the tower stands!’”

”The second one will be Rui Zi Primary School, with the motto ’Follow me, follow me!’”

”The third one, call it Zhao Xin Primary School, with the motto ’A gleam of cold steel appears first, and then a chrysanthemum is offered—cough cough, actually, it’s lance as swift as a dragon!’”

Lu Xiaobu chuckled, stroking his chin.

This feels quite interesting!

Imagine when school starts, a crowd of students yelling ”For Demacia!”

What an exciting scene!

However.

”What? Not approved? Then just name them whatever!”

Lu Xiaobu immediately lost his enthusiasm.

This just became boring.

His phone call ended.

Lu’s father and the others were not surprised and took it as business as usual.

But the three principals went crazy.

What the heck?!

We just invited you to be a guest professor, didn’t we?

Why did you jump to donating to Hope Primary Schools?

And casually drop fifty million?!

Of course, they’re not saying it’s a bad thing. It’s definitely a good deed.

But, they don’t get it?!

How did he even come up with this idea?!

It made them forget what they were going to say initially.

They were quite flustered and needed to take a moment.

They forgot, but Lu’s father had not, puzzled, he asked: ”Why would you invite my son to be a guest professor, just because of a speech? Isn’t that a bit much?”

”A guest professor? A speech?” The principals were first taken aback, then they remembered.

The principal of Beijing University hurriedly said, ”Yes, yes, yes, we sincerely invited Lu Xiaobu, all because of this speech. Maybe Mr. Lu doesn’t realize the significant impact this speech has had on the field of education, but it definitely deserves the title of guest professor.”

”Absolutely, it’s truly deserved!”

The principal of Qinghua University also nodded eagerly: ”Learning has no order of seniority, and capable people can become teachers. Lu Xiaobu’s ’Youthful Heavenly Dynasty’ has brought new vitality to education. We need him, the original author, to explain the profound meaning of this speech to everyone.”

Principal Li added, ”That’s right. ’Youthful Heavenly Dynasty’ is the piece we’re recommending for inclusion in our language textbooks. We really value it!”

Just as the Qinghua principal said.

This ”Youthful Heavenly Dynasty” is not like other articles.

To put it bluntly, the authors of other articles with significant meaning are mostly dead.

So the later generations can interpret as they understand, yet explain.

But now ”Youthful Heavenly Dynasty” is different!

Our Lu Xiaobu is still around, when those old bones are long gone, he will still be alive.

How dare they freely interpret?!

”No explaining!”

Lu Xiaobu once again firmly refused.

Explain? Explain what?

Shall I summon Liang Qichao to explain to you?!

Afraid of misinterpreting? Aren’t I afraid?!

You just watch the interpretations, that should be enough!

Really!

Oh right, speaking of interpretation, he seems to have forgotten about punishing some people.

That bunch of incendiary journalists.

So, he picked up the phone again: ”Hello, Sister Lan, arrange a press conference for me, I’m going to scold some people! Those unscrupulous journalists, remember, those reporters who blindly reported must come.”

”On what grounds? Let’s use the explanation of ’Youthful Heavenly Dynasty’ as a pretext! Yes, that’s it! They say I’m bad-mouthing people, don’t they! Well, I’ll give them a ’bad-mouthing’ interpretation!”

Lu Xiaobu said this on this end.

Principal Li was holding his tea cup, stunned in place.

Principal Hu’s mouth agape, completely unable to close it.

Principal Wang was so frightened he was nearly insane!

Lu Xiaobu, what are you planning to do?!

Have you forgotten that your speech was just accepted by everyone, and with our strong recommendation, was selected for the language textbook?

And now you say you want to use it to curse people?!

So you just want to oppose us, is that it?!

Our faces are going to be smashed by you!!

Think about when the press conference comes out.

What will the reporters write?

”The article recognized by the public, is it actually cursing people?”

”The article recommended by several principals turns out to be for cursing, who are they suggesting?”

”An educational article on the surface but cursing underneath?!”

No! Absolutely not!

The three principals hastily said to Lu Xiaobu: ”No, no, it can’t be under this pretext, absolutely not!”

”Xiaobu, I’m begging you, okay? Can’t we use this pretext, please? Use something else!” Principal Li was almost ready to kneel down to Lu Xiaobu.

He knows very well about Lu Xiaobu’s character, whatever he envisions, he makes happen.

If it really happened, it’s time for the three principals to step down!

”Yes! Xiaobu, please spare us three old things!”

The Beijing University principal was almost crying.

If only I hadn’t come.

What sort of trouble is this?!

”We won’t do it, we won’t do it, okay?!”

Principal Qinghua thought that they had pushed Lu Xiaobu too hard, forcing him to use this kind of method against them.

”Uh...” Lu Xiaobu scratched his head: ”Is it necessary? I’m just using this pretext, not actually explaining.”

”That’s still unacceptable, please spare us!”

The three principals begged sincerely!

”Alright, then under what pretext should I use?”

Lu Xiaobu frowned and asked.

At this moment, Liang Lan said: ”Young Master Bu, how about we use the pretext of donating to build Hope Primary School, and have them come over?”

Hearing this, Lu Xiaobu touched his chin, revealing a contemplative look in his eyes.

Slowly, a smile crept across his lips, that seems doable!

”Alright, that’s the one, remember, all those journalists who talked nonsense before, they must all be summoned!”

Hope Primary School hasn’t got its name yet, right?

Let’s use that to stir up some trouble; it feels quite exciting!

I’m not scared of you all!

Want to make a scene?!

You want to create fabrications, don’t you?!

Bring it on!

I’ll make you all infamous for posterity!

Hahaha!
