Rebirth before Apocalypse: My Whole Family are Bigshots!

”Xiao Fan, drive! Let’s continue heading towards Shanghai, maybe we can catch a few Zombie Kings! I swear I’ll give them a good makeover when we do!”

Wang Yiyun said, full of excitement.

The thought of finding High Rank Zombies to do makeup for erased all of her negative emotions.

She even had the impulse to fly to Shanghai right now.

Bai Yifan: ...

Suggest directly catching Brother Zhang or Fan Tangtang, the others are a no-go, they’ll be too much to handle!

The Bai Family decided not to enter the supermarket, and they didn’t plan to take the supplies inside either.

Even though they knew zombie babies didn’t need human baby products, Bai Xiqin still used Control Power to send some milk powder and diapers into the supermarket.

After doing all this, the Bai Family got on the bus without collecting any supplies from inside, and they drove away.

Bai Yifan floored the accelerator, his expression slightly twisted.

Angry but didn’t dare speak up!

He had hoarded that milk powder and diapers for a long time!

He was reluctant to eat it, reluctant to use it himself.

Yet, so much was just given away, it was painful!

Even though that was just the tip of the iceberg, he had hoarded way more than that amount, it still hurt his heart extremely.

”Xiao Fan, why is your teeth grinding so loud? Feeling the pain of loss?” Bai Xiqin looked over at Bai Yifan thoughtfully.

”Not at all, I just think maybe it wasn’t enough. Those were originally prepared for children, it’s only right to give them away, especially since it was us who delivered that baby, I have no objections, of course.”

Bai Yifan turned his head and gave a big smile.

Only this smile came with one or two sounds of grinding teeth.

Truly, it was incredibly painful.

”If you have no objections, then I’m relieved. Let’s consider this done. If we run into that mother and daughter again, I’ll give them more!” Bai Xiqin said deliberately.

Bai Yifan gritted his teeth: ”... Fine.”

The bus picked up speed, leaving the supermarket far behind,

”I’m so hungry!” Wang Yiyun rubbed her empty stomach, her eyes looking at Bai Anhai wistfully.

They were so busy delivering zombie babies, she forgot to eat.

”I’ll get on it right away!”

Upon receiving the signal, Bai Anhai turned and walked in the direction of the kitchen.

After turning, Bai Anhai’s face twitched violently a couple of times.

Honestly, he had no appetite.

His mind was absorbed with the thought that zombies could have babies, and that zombie baby was all pitch black, which was both pitiful and heartbreaking, who could have the appetite to eat?

He simply couldn’t eat.

It felt like all the zombies in the world were going to have babies, and a stench was permeating everywhere.

The status of humanity felt precarious.

He simply couldn’t eat.

Mrs. Bai, being a Funeral Master, and Grandma Bai, being a forensic doctor, weren’t affected at all, and it didn’t influence their appetites.

This was nothing to them.

Being in professions like forensic doctor and Funeral Master, they were never afraid of ghouls or ghosts; before the apocalypse, they had quite a decent income every month.

That little money could make them fearless of everything.

Let alone being asked to dissect or apply makeup on a mere corpse, even if the corpse ran off, the mother-in-law duo could bring it back!

As long as the money was right, everything was negotiable!

Speaking of which, the Bai Family’s income was quite fantastic.

Though both loved to shop and spend money, so the family savings were, well, just that.

”Sigh, if one day zombies can have generations upon generations, the apocalypse may never have an end.” Bai Zhengxuan sat on the sofa and sighed, his eyes looking out at the lush greenery, feeling that the future did not warrant much anticipation.

If all zombies were like Zhang Yiming, it wouldn’t be considered the end of the world.

But the majority of zombies are those without self-awareness, the kind that pounces at people frantically.

Zombies like those are mankind’s nemesis; unless High Level Zombies are ruling over them, humans must crack open their skulls to protect themselves.

”Let future people worry about future issues!” Bai Xiqin smelled the scent of human life wafting through the bus, with a faint smile on her face, ”as long as our family lives well, it’s fine if we don’t all die together this time!”

Bai Zhengxuan reached out and tousled his gray hair, a slight pride on his face, ”What all die together? Didn’t my future self not die? Still living quite, well!”

”Right, I haven’t died either!” Liu Jing also chuckled.

Bai Xiqin: ...

... Quite logical, actually.

Of this entire bus, according to the normal timeline, the only ones truly living would be these two elders!

Wang Yiyun raised an eyebrow, ”If I really had to turn into a zombie, I’d want to be like Xiao Ming. Just waving a hand, and a bunch of zombies obediently let me do their makeup.”

The more she thought about it, the more excited she got, feeling that turning into such a zombie would actually be pretty nice.

”Yes! If we really could turn into those kinds of zombies, there wouldn’t be any need to fear zombies.” Bai Anhai peeked his head out from the kitchen, eyes sparkling.

This way, it would be easier to protect his family, without being afraid of zombies suddenly attacking them.

With just a casual wave, those zombies wouldn’t dare come close.

Bai Zhengxuan and Liu Jing also had smiles on their faces, lost in their fantasies.

If they became Zombie Kings, this world wouldn’t be the end of days for them.

It would actually be a paradise!

Even at their age, they might get to experience the feeling of being an Emperor receiving court.

The more they thought about it, the more becoming a Zombie King sounded really appealing.

Completely ignoring the frenzy of bloodthirsty urges that would ravage their brains, their eyes were already highlighting the advantages of being a Zombie King.

Cough cough... if they really became Zombie Kings and couldn’t hold on, maybe drawing a few bags of blood from humans wouldn’t be too much, would it?

After all, one would be a zombie, why bother with manners and morals?

Bai Xiqin: ...

This conversation is getting out of hand, she felt like her family’s train of thought was a bit... off.

Bai Yifan’s hands shook as he gripped the steering wheel.

His family’s thinking was quite dangerous!

If they all really became Zombie Kings, he might really end up having ”fertile water not flowing to outsiders” when it comes to himself!

Bai Yifan sighed deeply.

Really hoping that if someone in his family turned into a zombie first, it’d be him.

Cough cough, this way he could preemptively make sure ”fertile water doesn’t flow to others” when it comes to his family!

Can’t just always be self-produced and self-consumed, right?

Thinking about it that way, Bai Yifan wasn’t as scared.

He was even a bit hopeful.

Imagining such mutinous scenarios (about what to do with the family), was actually quite... satisfying.

... After all, from the apocalypse until now, the dreams he had and the ones he heard about were all scenarios where he was being self-produced and self-consumed.

An occasional mutinous fantasy could bring great joy to his mind and body.

Couldn’t say it out loud, afraid of getting beaten, so could only fantasize privately.

The bus kept speeding down the highway, stopping and going, and collecting a batch of zombies along the way.

More fortunate than most survivors.

They encountered no difficulties on the way.

The only difficulty was, at night, the Bai Family’s ladies snored too loudly, affecting sleep quality.

Several days later.

The blue-and-white bus finally arrived at the big city of Shanghai.

The bus parked steadily by the roadside, the family leaned against the windows and looked outside.

Not yet in the city’s central area, just on the outskirts, they could already see several High Rank Zombies at a glance.
