Chapter 777: Chapter 609 Mom, I Missed You So Much

She couldn’t avoid it any longer!

Because her little dumpling had arrived!

The scroll in her hand was gripped tightly, as Gu Changsheng slowly clenched his fingers until his veins throbbed and blood appeared in his palm, yet he never let go!

Her little dumpling had arrived; could he be far behind?

”Mommy! Mommy! Woo... Mommy!”

Before he arrived, she could hear the crying of her little dumpling, screaming hoarsely!

The next moment, her thigh was fiercely hugged, and the sudden force almost made Gu Changsheng stagger forward!

”Woo... Mommy! It really is Mommy! I missed you to death, Mommy! Waa...”

The heart-wrenching crying echoed behind her, quickly wetting the hem of her skirt with the little dumpling’s tears!

Gu Changsheng used all his strength to lift his hand and slowly covered the little head behind him, but no matter what, he did not dare to turn around!

Right!

She didn’t dare!

Although she missed her son terribly, to the point of heartache, she still didn’t dare to turn around, because she was afraid someone had come with her little dumpling!

Her mind was in turmoil, and she was no longer able to focus and listen for footsteps behind her!

”Waa... Mommy, I missed you to death! They kidnapped me, and I couldn’t see Mommy! They bullied me, didn’t give me good food, and even locked me up in a carriage. I was jolted around in the carriage for so long, I almost fell apart!” The little dumpling buried his head on his mommy’s thigh, crying a storm, ”Waa... Mommy, I met a bad person! A very, very bad old devout woman, she let so many, so many bugs bite me! Waa... I was so scared, Mommy, I was so scared! I heard the Dandan Bug’s sound, and it saved me... Waa... Mommy, they bullied me, and I’ve gotten thin...”

The cries echoed throughout the forest!

Gu Changsheng listened to the ramblings of her precious son behind her, and her heart ached when she heard he had gotten thin!

”Amitabha!” Little Monk Bu Jie nearby suddenly chanted, his eyes intently staring at the little dumpling crying pitifully, and kindly said, ”Little Benefactor, how can you utter such nonsense, deceiving your mother?”

”Huh?” The little dumpling stopped crying at that, blankly lifted his little head from his mother’s thigh, followed Little Monk Bu Jie’s gaze slowly towards his own little arms, legs, and belly... and then, suddenly he realized!

”Woo... Mommy, the little monk bullied me as soon as we met! Waa...” Once he realized, the little dumpling began crying even harder, vigorously rubbing against his mommy’s thigh, ”Mommy, hug me quick! I haven’t gotten thin, I’ve gotten even fatter. Hug me now, otherwise you won’t be able to lift me soon! Waa...”

”Ah...” Gu Changsheng sighed deeply upon hearing this. ”Whether it’s fate or defiance, I have accepted it, and at worst, it’s just death; I’d just return this life!”

Block when attacked, bury when water floods; let it be as it may!

Even if it meant death, at least let her savor the joy of reuniting with her son before she died!

The compassion for humanity was Little Monk Bu Jie’s realm, certainly not her cup of tea!

Raise your head for a slash, duck your head for a slash, since she couldn’t avoid it, what the hell was there to fear? Head off, only a scar as big as a bowl; she’d be a wild girlfriend again in twenty years!

Damn!

In one breath, with one thought turned over, Gu Changsheng immediately came to terms and suddenly turned around, scooping her little dumpling from behind into her arms, holding him tightly, ”My son! You have finally come back! How Mommy missed you! You damn haven’t gotten thin, your old mom is the one exhausted by worry!”

”Waa... Mommy, you didn’t hug me just now! You scared me! I thought you didn’t want me anymore! Waa...” Back in his mommy’s embrace, the little dumpling cried even more sobbingly, his face like pear blossoms bathed in rain, so pitiable, almost crying out months of grievances!

However, whether he had truly been mistreated is another matter!

Regardless, compared to his plump self over the past few months, the Witch Gu Temple was in a daily frenzy, and everyone had lost several circles of fat. It was one thing to grow thin, but now, who knew if they still had lives to continue thinning!

”Look at how you cry, sissy! Are you still your old mom’s son?” After consoling her son and wiping his tears for a while, Gu Changsheng immediately geared up, smacking her son’s little head lightly, expressing frustration as she spoke, ”With so many life-saving things on you, you still got kidnapped from Liuzhou; how incompetent can you be? How could I, Gu Changsheng, have raised such an incompetent son! Eh? Eh? Eh?”

”Huh?” The little dumpling’s crying instantly stopped; pouting his plump little mouth, he looked resentfully close to his mother, his round, teary eyes spinning, ”Waa... It’s unjust! They ambushed me, held a knife to my little neck, it was so chilly and frightening! They were so powerful, injured my Peacock, Lion, and Tiger, and even hurt Master Uncle Jian Jia, waa... I was scared they would continue fighting so I followed them... Waa...”

”You couldn’t escape after leaving? Don’t tell me you couldn’t escape! If you really were that useless, I would have wasted my efforts raising you!” Gu Changsheng, upon hearing this, rolled his eyes immediately. Being worried was one thing, but his son was definitely not that incompetent! He had some confidence in that!

”I did escape! But I got lost after escaping... so I went back... wah wah...” Little Meat Bun felt very wronged, his chubby little fingers twined around the hem of his clothes as he stammered out an explanation, ”I think, since they’re so formidable, and I couldn’t get home for a while, it might be better to follow them to their turf! Didn’t mom say there’s no guarding against thieves every day? I at least had to find their den first, right? Who knew their den was this far...”

”Humph!” Gu Changsheng, upon hearing this, let out a few cold laughs.

Seeing this, Little Meat Bun’s tiny finger twisted even faster on his clothes hem, his chubby little face squeezing into an expression of grievance, ”Moreover, at that time, Peacock, Lion, and Tiger, and Master Uncle Jian Jia were so severely injured, I was afraid that if he went home, they would come back with a counterattack. Wouldn’t Peacock, Lion, and Tiger, and Master Uncle Jian Jia suffer? This is what you taught me, mom! It’s called luring the calamity east!”

”Luring the calamity east your big ghost head!” Gu Changsheng, hearing this, immediately smacked him with a little palm, ”Do you think your master and your Master Uncle are fools, waiting there for them to strike back? If you simply got lost and couldn’t make it back, just say so directly, without dragging in all this nonsense!”

The smacked Little Meat Bun felt very wronged, but he didn’t dare to say how wronged he felt!

Because, his mother was never a gentle mother! Wah... this was the most heartfelt realization he had had for a long time!

”Also, what do you mean ’what you taught me’? Did I teach you to find a thieves’ den thousands of miles away? You almost had yourself a trip around the world, do you realize that? And still talking about luring the calamity east! Who is the calamity? Is it you? Or the people who kidnapped you?” She, Gu Changsheng, was absolutely not going to admit that there was a fault in her teachings!

It was definitely because her Little Meat Bun had grown askew on his own!

How could she have raised such an unruly son?

Thinking of the months of anxiety, she really wished she could stuff this troublemaker back into her belly and remake him!

Just because of these unfounded reasons, clearly, he could have escaped home, but instead, he followed them back to their lair!

This... who could she even talk to about this?

Who to blame? Blame her, right?

Anyway, she would never admit it!

Hearing his mother’s question, Little Meat Bun’s chubby cheeks immediately furrowed into dumpling folds, his chubby little fingers trembling as he pointed to himself, blinking his round, puppy eyes, and stammered, ”Uh... this... that... is the calamity me?”

Having been stressed and anxious for so long, and especially after the intense emotion just now, seeing her adorably silly Little Meat Bun, Gu Changsheng was finally able to let go of her restless and anxious heart!

When there’s no escape or avoidance, the only option left was to be a true warrior!

Sitting cross-legged on the ground, Gu Changsheng looked at the vividly troubled Little Meat Bun in front of her, wailing internally, just let the storm come fiercer then!

”So tell me, what consequence did this move of luring the calamity east bring about? Do you realize how thin and unwell I’ve become from being nervous and worried all this time?” Gu Changsheng rolled her eyes as she raised her hand to rub the little meat bun in front of her.

”Ah? Mom! You’re so pitiful! But don’t be sad! Don’t you always say, ’Comparison brings balance’? There are people worse off than you! Couldn’t that balance it out?” Little Meat Bun looked at his mom from left to right, front and back, and really couldn’t see any sign of her having lost weight...

”Slap!”

A small slap immediately whooshed towards the forehead!

”Balance? It’s bloody rest in peace, isn’t it!” In this world, there are such sons who torment their own mothers! Her teachings had indeed gone wrong, and evidently, not slightly! It’s simply worlds apart!

”Wah... Mom, you slapped me again, I’m almost becoming silly from it!” The little mouth of the smacked Little Meat Bun puckered even higher.

”Good if you become silly! Better than being too smart and driving your mom to her grave!” Gu Changsheng, hearing this, immediately rolled her eyes and continued speaking, finally gathering the courage to look behind Little Meat Bun into the far distance!

Beneath the vague moonlight, the area was empty, not even a hair of a person in sight!

Her heart, immediately, was put at ease!

Gu Changsheng couldn’t help but take a long sigh of relief!

Even if a storm was about to come, at least there was the calm before the storm, and she would treat it as a reprieve period then!

”Wah... Mom! You really don’t love me anymore! You keep bullying me! If you keep bullying me, I’ll cry, wah... wah...” Little Meat Bun, hearing this, immediately became uncooperative, his chubby little paws covering his face, and his little legs kicking as he started crying loudly.

”Scaring who? You’ve been crying non-stop! That trick doesn’t work, try something else!”
