Chapter 68: Chapter 36 Prince Mu’s Mansion Servants_2

“I’d rather be a ghost!” Eunuch Yuan Bao wailed in his heart, clutching his head as he resignedly shuffled out from behind the pillar, moving his little cat steps slower than a turtle!

“Yuan Bao, don’t say I didn’t warn you. I’ve never liked waiting for anyone,” Zhou Mu forcefully slapped the armrest of the Mermaid Chair, his coldness intensifying. Yuan Bao was really becoming more and more unruly!

If it weren’t for the fact that he had followed him since childhood, he really would have wanted to strip off his plump flesh and feed it to the dogs!

Upon hearing this, Eunuch Yuan Bao immediately quickened his movements. His round body swayed and in the blink of an eye, he knelt beside Jiang San.

He clasped his head and thudded to the ground!

“My lord, the matter you had your servant inquire about doesn’t even need asking,” Eunuch Yuan Bao whimpered as he licked the ground.

Who could tell him, what had gotten into his master today?

He returned only to have him inquire about a woman—yes, a woman!

The master hadn’t fancied any woman for twenty years; why suddenly did he ask him to inquire about one?

And the crucial point was, this woman was an Abandoned Wife with a child!

Had it been any other lady of unblemished reputation, Yuan Bao would definitely have lit three sticks of incense and carried the lady back to the lord!

But how could he handle a woman like this?

“No need to inquire?” Zhou Mu was taken aback, asking in confusion.

“My lord, the whole of Liuzhou City knows of this lady now; she’s even more famous than you.” Eunuch Yuan Bao stretched out his hand and wiped the sweat from his face. Being so famous, he indeed didn’t need to inquire.

Zhou Mu immediately stood up—this woman!

From the corner of his eye, Eunuch Yuan Bao saw his master striding over, enveloped in a murderous rage, his whole body trembling like a sieve.

Jiang San looked at him sympathetically—he was in a situation even worse than his own!

“My lord, your servant cannot marry a wife!” Eunuch Yuan Bao watched as the Skyward Boots halted in front of him and after a lengthy pause, he finally managed to squeeze out a sentence.

He was a eunuch after all! They shouldn’t trouble him with marrying a wife; he truly was powerless!

“I can sell you to the little servant house!” Zhou Mu said abruptly, then suddenly remembered something and his face turned dark!

That woman, she too had once wanted to sell him to the little servant house!

Damn!

Eunuch Yuan Bao could no longer worry about trembling, as he hurriedly looked up at his master, “My lord, isn’t that improper? Your servant like this, I’m not good merchandise.”

Zhou Mu kicked him over, and Eunuch Yuan Bao tumbled round, stopping to touch the shoulder that bore the imprint of the kick. Had he said anything? Why was he kicked again?

“You’re not good merchandise, and I am?” Zhou Mu threw back coldly.

Eunuch Yuan Bao was startled, his round face and wide eyes expressing utter disbelief, “My lord, you jest. Who would dare to sell you?”

“Isn’t this like an old man drinking poison, seeking death?”

He glanced at his master. Well, his master’s appearance was indeed much better than his own, a world of difference!

“Bang…” Another kick came flying, Zhou Mu watched as the plump Yuan Bao rolled in front of him, “Yuan Bao, put away that death-wishing look of yours!”

Stabilizing himself, Yuan Bao obediently closed his eyes! These past few days, he had already been kicked numerous times! It seemed like his master was intent on using him as a polo ball!

Jiang San, looking at Yuan Bao acting like a ball on the ground, suddenly felt a sense of balance. Indeed, he was not the most miserable one. He only had to dismantle ten temples and ruin a marriage, but Eunuch Yuan Bao was almost kicked flat.

“Speak! What eye-catching thing did that woman do again?” Zhou Mu no longer looked at him, his voice cold.

Again? The usage of this word was too intriguing…

But Eunuch Yuan Bao had no time to ponder as he hurriedly reported truthfully, “Master, that lady claimed she would publish Gu Chengyi’s medicinal recipe to the world, and the medical hall has reopened for free consultations for seven days. On the first day, there was only one patient. That old woman took the recipe and sold it to a doctor in Liuzhou City, then split the profits with that lady after dark.”

“Split the profits?” That was indeed something she would do. That woman was always the type to prefer money over life! Zhou Mu nodded, “Continue!”

“This morning, the door of the medical hall was burst open, and then that lady threw out Butcher Wang from East Street.” He had seen that Butcher Wang, who was almost as plump as him, actually thrown out. That lady’s maid must be incredibly strong, Yuan Bao confirmed with a nod.

“Just threw him out?” Zhou Mu didn’t believe it. If they had burst her door open and only threw the man out, then that was a much better treatment than others received.

“Oh, she also stripped Butcher Wang of all his silver.” Yuan Bao thought for a moment and then continued.

That made sense. Without his silver, Butcher Wang would have probably been even more miserable!

“And then?” Just like that still wasn’t enough to become famous in Liuzhou.

“Then, all the doctors in Liuzhou ran to her medical hall. It’s said that the lady is a descendant of the long-lost Divine Acupuncture Skills. The entire medical guild in Liuzhou was alarmed, and the citizens of Liuzhou City are all discussing about lining up at Gu Medical Guild for consultations early tomorrow morning.” Eunuch Yuan Bao wiped the sweat from his face. This lady was truly too troublesome. She had caused such a stir in just a few days since her return to Liuzhou!

“This woman! She just can’t stay calm!” Divine Acupuncture Skills, are those to be casually passed on? Her grandfather’s lesson was right there, how could she be so thoughtless? Zhou Mu angrily glanced at Yuan Bao, this foolish servant, good for nothing but eating! With such a big commotion, he wouldn’t inquire; probably he wouldn’t even report back if not asked!

Useless!

Yuan Bao, watching his master turning to leave, quickly got up and followed him, his face anxious, “Master, where are you going now?”

“Master, it’s getting dark, it’s better not to go out.”

“Master, you haven’t had dinner yet.” Yuan Bao mentioned, struggling to keep up, breathless.

“Master, it’s not safe outside, let’s not go out.”

“Master, your wounds have not fully healed, let’s return to the mansion.” Yuan Bao followed behind Zhou Mu, gasping as he climbed up onto the rooftop.

“Nagging! I’m going to see a doctor.” Zhou Mu kept his figure in the shadows, moving swiftly forward.

“Master, there are plenty of doctors in the mansion, why seek help far away?” Eunuch Yuan Bao quickly caught up.

“Nag another word, and I will sell you to the little servant house tomorrow.”

Eunuch Yuan Bao suddenly silenced like he had bitten his tongue. He absolutely did not want to be sold to the little servant house! Absolutely not!
