Magus: Rise of the Darkness Empress

As the three ladies came to the rooftop, they immediately found a small hidden door. Actually calling it hidden was not correct because it was located in an extremely obvious place.

Again it was Weiss who took the lead and opened the door. And under it, she found quite a large amount of regular gold and silver coins. But surprisingly there was no holy coins at all.

From the design on the gold and silver coins, it was very clear that they were definitely from hundreds if not thousands of years ago. But still, their monetary value have not gone down over time.

So even for Weiss, this was a lot of money. With just a brief glance, Weiss judged that she needed to take down three or four Earth Overturning Great monsters and harvest them fully if she wanted to match the amount of wealth that was here. It was actually insane.

But then Weiss remembered what Mathius had told her. Even a mid level magus apprentices was capable of doing Alchemy to create gold out of other metals. Some of them could even create out of nowhere.

For this reason, the value of regular gold and other regular metals without any magic was extremely low to anyone from the magus world.

And as it looked like this Meister person was definitely from the world of the Magus, it made sense why he cared so little about these coins and had left them behind even though he was a cheapskate.

But even though these gold and silver coins were useless in his eyes, that was not the case for Weiss, Peria and Elise. They were dazzled by this amount of wealth.

Immediately they started to stash all of it away. For Weiss, the value of the fake cores was actually lower than this gold and silver. If she took all of it away, then she would not need to worry about money for a long time, even after considering the expenses behind her research.

Other than the gold and silver coins, there were also several gemstones in that pile of wealth. Weiss had hoped to find some kind of magical stone among them. But even after thoroughly checking each and every one them, Weiss was unable to find anything magical.

Still, she was not disappoint by this. This expedition to the magical castle ruin had been so beneficial to her that there was no way she could feel bad about it without being a stupidly greedy person.

...

Even after the investigation of the whole castle was already completed. Weiss and the three ladies still stayed in the castle ruin for two more days.

During these two days, they investigated the whole castle once more and Weiss took away the arrows from the traps that she had missed the last time.

After that, they were finally done here and left the Castle with large bags on all the ladies’ hands. These Bags were so large and heavy that a regular person would not even be able to lift it from the ground.

There was a small village not too far away from the Castle. That was also the place where Weiss had kept their horses.

They was under the care of the chief of that village and he was getting paid a handsome sum of money to take care of the horses for these few days.

Not all the ladies went back to the village in order to bring the horses out. With so much luggage with them, that would have looked suspicious.

So, it was only the most mature looking person among them, Peria, who went to the village to bring the horses out. During that time, Weiss and Elise waited in the nearby forest while keeping an eye on the village.

Peria did not return with the pace that the ladies had expected. She actually took a whole hour before returning back. Not just that but as Peria returned, she had five horses with her instead of the three that she was supposed to have.

After meeting up with Weiss and Elise, Peria started to explain how she had suddenly gotten two extra horses.

It turned out that the village chief had actually assured himself that three alone ladies were definitely not going to survive the dangerous forest here. So he had already sold the horses just one day after he had gotten his hands on them.

But that was not all of this crimes. After seeing Peria returning, instead of apologising for his mistake, he had tried to gang up on Peria to capture her as a sex slave of the village.

Her beauty had already attracted this village chief’s attention when she was here the last time so now he was trying it take this opportunity to get his hands on this beautiful and busty piece of meat.

For that reason, Peria had to beat all the villagers up. After getting a beating that they would never forget in their lifetime, they all had become very obedient.

Next, Peria had retrieved the horses from the person who had bought them and even gave him a light beating for participating in this trouble.

But that was not the end. Peria knew that with the amount of luggage that they had, having more than three horses would be ideal.

So she had coerced the village chief to give two more horses away from him own as a compensation for stealing their horses and betraying their trust.

And before Peria and her god like power, the village chief was powerless so he could do nothing but to accept this unreasonable demand.

...

Hearing the whole story, Weiss immediately praised Peria. She had handled the situation quite well. Actually if Weiss was there, she would have definitely tried to get more things as compensation. Still, Peria had done a very fine job.

Now with five horses to support them, the load that each of the ladies had to carry lessened significantly. So the journey back to the city of Lemarta was quite enjoyable for all three of them.

...

As the three ladies entered through the front gate with five horses, someone hiding in the roof of a nearby building immediately left after seeing them. But there were still several more people who were keeping an eye on these three ladies.

Even the guard who was in charge of letting them in the city, he also gave the ladies a very peculiar look. It was a look of very slight pity, mixed with a lot of desire and lust.

So what had changed in the city while the ladies were away for just a few days.
