Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1729: Chapter 1054: Visiting Old Friends

”The struggle for authority, the Authority Artifact, could it be that the matters concerning the Unpredictable Ghost Sect and the Wanhua Demon Court are related to this?” Jian Changhe voiced his speculation.

”Maybe!” White Cloud True Monarch replied.

Que Lingyu looked up at him and said, ”If that’s true, then the Wanhua Seal you mentioned, we better not touch it!”

White Cloud True Monarch was startled, then remained silent for a moment and nodded gently, ”I was being greedy!”

If the conflict between the Unpredictable Ghost Sect and Wanhua Demon Court is indeed due to the struggle for authority or the Authority Artifact, then this Wanhua Seal is likely a hot potato.

If they rashly searched for it and failed to find it, it would be fine, but if they did find it, it could bring about a catastrophe.

Without sufficient strength, some things should not be meddled with.

”We should first find some allies, I think Chi Hua Ancestor would be a good ally!” Yang Zhenshan spoke timely.

White Cloud True Monarch said, ”Indeed, Chi Hua Ancestor is already our ally, combining forces with him would be ideal.”

Que Lingyu also agreed, ”I’ll go to the Huaxian Sect in person and discuss this matter with him!”

White Cloud True Monarch continued, ”Besides Chi Hua, I have several old friends that I can approach. If you have any Golden Core Cultivators you’re familiar with, you could visit them too, even if an alliance isn’t possible, maintaining the relationship is important!”

The problem with the Sky Cloud Sword Sect is evident; their foundation is too thin, their strength insufficient, far from being able to contend with top forces like the Unpredictable Ghost Sect. So, they have to band with some loose cultivators for mutual support, not expecting to form solid alliances, but rather to have more aid when trouble arises.

After a brief discussion, they each took action.

Que Lingyu went to the Huaxian Sect, White Cloud True Monarch also went out to visit friends, while Jian Changhe and Yun Xiao remained to hold down the fort at White Cloud Immortal City, and Yang Zhenshan, after some consideration, decided to visit a few friends.

His first visit was, naturally, Qingyuan Fox Venerable, as one of the three Demon Venerables of the Wanhua Demon Court, Qingyuan Fox Venerable definitely knows many things unknown to him.

If Qingyuan Fox Venerable were willing to enlighten him, he should be able to understand the meaning of authority.

Unfortunately, upon arriving at Qingyuan Cave Heaven, he didn’t meet Qingyuan Fox Venerable, only Su Qingfu who was guarding the gate to Qingyuan.

Su Qingfu possessed an allure no less than Qingyuan Fox Venerable, only missing a few degrees of noble temperament.

”Yang, Fox Venerable is not here, if Taoist Yang has any matters, you can tell me,” Su Qingfu’s attitude towards Yang Zhenshan was quite amiable, tinged with a sense of closeness.

After all, Yang Zhenshan had helped the Qingyuan Fox Clan resolve the Holy Tree problem and helped Qingyuan Fox Venerable gain control over Qingyuan Cave Heaven.

Yang Zhenshan hesitated, then asked, ”Actually, I’m here for matters concerning the Unpredictable Ghost Sect.”

He did not inquire about the struggle for authority because the issue might involve some secrets that Su Qingfu might not understand, nor necessarily divulge to him.

”The Unpredictable Ghost Sect!” Su Qingfu said, ”To be honest with you, the Fox Venerable has gone to the Demon Ruins, and as of now, I haven’t received any orders on how to deal with the Unpredictable Ghost Sect!”

”However, I hope the Sky Cloud Sword Sect can draw a clear line with the Unpredictable Ghost Sect, it’s best not to have any involvement with them!”

The enmity between the Unpredictable Ghost Sect and the Wanhua Demon Court was formed, regardless of whether the Wanhua Demon Court chooses tolerance or war, this enmity is unresolved.

Therefore, Su Qingfu wishes for the Sky Cloud Sword Sect to remain uninvolved with the Unpredictable Ghost Sect, which is understandable.

If both sides truly went to war, the Sky Cloud Sword Sect would certainly become a target for the Wanhua Demon Court to win over.

”I understand, the Yellow Springs Ancestor has already joined the Unpredictable Ghost Sect; our Sky Cloud Sword Sect will certainly not become a friend to the Unpredictable Ghost Sect!” Yang Zhenshan also expressed the stance of the Sky Cloud Sword Sect.

Su Qingfu’s lips curved into a charming smile, ”Yang might not know, but recently the Unpredictable Ghost Sect has been approaching Chi Yuan True Monarch!”

Yang Zhenshan squinted slightly, good grief, the Unpredictable Ghost Sect is gathering all his enemies together!

Chi Yuan Ancestor plus Yellow Springs Ancestor, if both join the Unpredictable Ghost Sect, then he is destined to be irreconcilable with the Unpredictable Ghost Sect.

”Sigh~~” Yang Zhenshan sighed deeply, ”Qingfu, your Demon Court cannot continue to tolerate this, if you keep on enduring, the Wanhua Mountain Range will become the territory of the Unpredictable Ghost Sect!”

The remark was harsh, but it was the truth.

However, he did not say this to make Su Qingfu look bad; he genuinely hoped the Wanhua Demon Court would go to war with the Unpredictable Ghost Sect.

Su Qingfu chuckled softly, ”I understand Yang’s sentiment, but I can’t make such decisions, everything will wait until the Fox Venerable returns.”

”Hehe, when the Fox Venerable returns, I hope Taoist will inform me of the Demon Court’s decision!” Yang Zhenshan said.

”No problem!” Su Qingfu agreed.

Then, Yang Zhenshan proceeded to take his leave and departed from the gate of Qingyuan.

Whether the Wanhua Demon Court will go to war with the Unpredictable Ghost Sect, that is still uncertain.

From his own standpoint and that of the Sky Cloud Sword Sect, Yang Zhenshan certainly hopes they go to war.

Only if they engage in war will the Unpredictable Ghost Sect not focus its attention on the Sky Cloud Sword Sect; otherwise, the Unpredictable Ghost Sect might see the Sky Cloud Sword Sect as their next target.

Yang Zhenshan traversed the Void, feeling an immense headache over the current situation.

Chi Yuan Ancestor, Yellow Springs Old Ghost, these two old foes gathering together is certainly no good.

Perhaps those two are plotting on how to kill him right now.

The grudge of cutting one’s lifespan, enough to be an irreconcilable enmity.

Both had their lifespans cut by over three hundred years by Yang Zhenshan, neither would let him go.
