Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1723: Chapter 1051: The Four Realms of Spear Dao

Yang Mingcheng and the others encountered the issue of not being able to find their own Dao.

Actually, this isn’t just their problem; most Martial Artists who reach the peak of the Golden Body Realm face this issue.

This issue doesn’t affect their breakthrough, but it does affect their future in Dao Intent.

Is Dao Intent important to Martial Artists?

It is both important and not important.

It’s important because after perceiving Dao Intent, one can achieve twice the result with half the effort in cultivation and stand out in battles.

It’s not important because not understanding Dao Intent doesn’t affect cultivation; one can still cultivate to the Divine Soul Realm.

Take Divine Soul Realm Martial Artists for example, Lin Daoyuan has a strong Sword Dao, with profound achievements in it, while Yue E hasn’t understood her own Dao Intent. Her skills and abilities mostly stem from cultivation techniques, not her own perception.

Similarly, Ding Qiu has forged his own path, the Sword Dao, while Yu Qingyi hasn’t found her own path.

This doesn’t mean Ding Qiu’s future is necessarily better than Yu Qingyi’s. In fact, Yang Zhenshan is more optimistic about Yu Qingyi in terms of Dao Intent comprehension.

Because Divine Soul Realm Martial Artists lean towards becoming Immortal Cultivators, they will gradually become Immortal Cultivators.

Yu Qingyi, although hasn’t forged her own Martial Arts path, has long started perceiving Dao Intent related to Immortal cultivation magic, like controlling plant growth.

This ability seemed useless to Yu Qingyi before; fanciful but with little practical use.

However, for Yu Qingyi now, this ability will become her greatest reliance.

Because Yu Qingyi’s Divine Soul is strengthening, the True Yuan inside her is transforming into Mana; she is turning into an Immortal Cultivator and will be able to use Immortal Cultivation’s spell divine skills and naturally comprehend Dao Intent of Immortal Cultivation.

Especially since she practices with the Wood Attribute, Yang Zhenshan can fully guide her hand by hand.

And Ding Qiu?

Sword Dao, among Immortal Cultivators, there’s almost no Blade Cultivation. Anyway, Yang Zhenshan has never seen an Immortal Cultivator specializing in Sword Dao.

So Ding Qiu must rely on himself; few in this world can guide him.

Yu Qingyi’s path, on the other hand, has many references, with a wealth of experiences from predecessors and Yang Zhenshan as a teacher guiding her hand by hand.

And what about Yang Mingcheng and the others?

They have neither Ding Qiu’s talent nor can they forge their own path.

Nor are they like Yu Qingyi, who accessed the Dao Intent of Immortal cultivation’s magic divine skills long ago.

Of course, they can also choose to ignore Dao Intent, as it doesn’t affect their breakthrough to the Divine Soul Realm.

However, if they can comprehend Dao Intent, why shouldn’t they try?

So they discussed among themselves and sought out Yang Zhenshan to see if he could point out a clear path for them.

After reviewing their spear techniques and cultivation techniques, Yang Zhenshan discovered a bigger issue.

Martial Arts path is too sloppy!

If Immortal Path is a grand avenue, then Martial Arts is a mountain trail.

Initially, Martial Arts is relatively spacious, but as one advances in realm, the path narrows, ultimately leaving only a tiny Sword Dao path.

The closer you get, the narrower it becomes. Although eventually, this path merges into the Immortal Path’s broad avenue, it involves many twists, turns, and difficulties.

Even when merged into the Immortal Path, the path of Martial Arts will cease to exist and must fully integrate into the Immortal Path.

Ding Qiu’s Sword Dao ends on the Immortal Path; if he wants to continue, he must forge a new path himself.

Yu Qingyi must fully integrate into the Immortal Path, transforming from Martial Artist to Immortal Cultivator.

There is an exception, which is the Sword Dao; only Sword Dao remains unobstructed.

What about Spear Dao?

Yang Zhenshan fell into deep contemplation.

Martial Arts flourished ten thousand years ago, before which only Immortal Path’s Body Refinement existed. It gradually evolved into Martial Arts later.

What was Sword Dao like initially?

Who forged the Sword Dao path?

Heavenly Sword True Monarch?

Clearly not, as the ancient array’s Transmission Hall contains many cultivation techniques on Sword Dao.

This means Sword Dao existed even ten thousand years ago.

The hall’s atmosphere fell into silence; Yang Zhenshan stroked his beard in deep thought, while Yang Mingcheng, Yang Mingzhi, and Yang Minghao exchanged glances without understanding Yang Zhenshan’s thoughts but dared not disturb him. They could only sit quietly, waiting for Yang Zhenshan to come to.

After a long time, Yang Zhenshan suddenly stood up and began pacing inside the hall.

Since Sword Dao is possible, why not Sword Dao?

If someday Ding Qiu becomes a Golden Core Cultivator and reaches higher levels, wouldn’t he forge a new path for Sword Dao?

Similarly, why can’t Spear Dao be possible?

He’s already regained the Spear Dao; maybe he could forge a new path for Spear Dao!

Creating a new path is difficult, but that’s not important. He can be a pioneer, to walk the path first; even if he fails, it doesn’t really affect him as his path isn’t the Spear Dao.

He might waste some time and effort on Spear Dao at most.

With these thoughts, Yang Zhenshan came to his senses, looked at the three Yang brothers, and smiled: ”I know the problem you’ve encountered, but this matter requires some time. Continue your cultivation step by step, first breakthrough to the Divine Soul Realm!”

Whether or not they can comprehend Dao Intent doesn’t affect Yang Mingcheng and the others’ breakthrough to the Divine Soul Realm, so Yang Zhenshan isn’t in a hurry.
