Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1705: Chapter 1040: Green Bull Demon King (Part 2)

Although they had already decided to make their move in the Wanhua Mountain Range, there was no need to confront the Wanhua Demon Court head-on just yet, so a reasonable explanation was still necessary.

”This is slander! What Blood Pool, Old Niu doesn’t know anything about it!” said the Green Bull Demon King.

”Whether you know or not isn’t important. Now, you have no other choice: submit or die!” said Yu Yuan.

The face of the Green Bull Demon King turned incredibly somber. Although he was a recluse, he was not stupid or gullible. How could he not understand what Yu Yuan meant?

The other party simply wanted to wipe him out, and his thoughts or attitude towards it didn’t matter.

The Green Bull Demon King’s large nostrils flared with anger, ”Moo~ You deserve to die!”

Suddenly, the aura around him burst forth, and terrifying mana surged out.

Instantly, a large mass of azure mist spewed from his mouth, covering the surrounding tens of miles.

”Poison of the flora! Haha, don’t bother showing off such little tricks!” Yu Yuan sneered, then lightly exhaled, releasing a blood-red flame.

The flames, like falling petals, turned into a rain of flowers, scattering among the azure mist.

The azure mist and the petals entwined, emitting crackling sounds. Gradually, the surrounding mist dissipated, replaced by a sea of blood-red flowers.

The bloody, dark sea of flowers exuded a sinister aura, presenting an eerie beauty.

Moo~~

Another bull roar, and a massive creature suddenly charged out from the azure mist, heading straight towards Yu Yuan.

It planted its four feet into the mountains, its enormous body spanning over a hundred feet, stretching across the ridges. It was a massive bull formed by countless trees, vines, and flora.

Seeing this, Yu Yuan flicked his sleeve, and countless blood-red flames floated down, colliding with the massive bull.

When the flames touched the vegetation, they didn’t ignite fiercely; rather, like embers falling into snow, they caused the flora to wither and disintegrate.

This was the Blood Sea Candle Flame, a part of Yu Yuan’s Soul-devouring Divine Dao Intent, which, upon contact, did not leave ordinary scorch marks but instead stripped away vitality, reduced it to ashes, and devoured Divine Souls. For every bit of Soul Power devoured, the flames would grow stronger.

The blood sea candle flames encountering the huge vegetal body was indeed like embers falling into snow, and the enormous body continuously dissolved, with holes appearing all over the giant bull’s vegetal form in the blink of an eye.

However, the Green Bull Demon King would not be so easily defeated. He suddenly swung his bull head, and billions of leaves turned into sharp flying knives, blotting out the sky as they rushed towards Yu Yuan.

Yu Yuan formed a spell with his hands, and a layer of blood-red flame shield appeared in front of him, blocking the billions of leaves.

The green bull raised its giant hoof, but countless roots still connected it to the mountain ridges. Countless tree stumps within the forest surged into a torrent, shooting skywards.

Yu Yuan once again flicked his sleeve, and the previously frontal-only flame shield expanded tens of times, forming a semi-circular barrier below him in the air.

The stumps and leaves crashed against the flame barrier, like raindrops falling on a lake, leaving only a dense ripple pattern.

”If that’s all you have, I suggest you submit early, or don’t blame me for being ruthless!”

”Dream on about making Old Niu submit!”

”Forest of Myriad Phenomena, Ten Thousand Trees Coexistence! To kill Old Niu, you’d have to destroy every piece of flora across these mountains first!”

The loud voice echoed between heaven and earth, full of confidence.

The Forest of Myriad Phenomena, Ten Thousand Trees Coexistence, was indeed one of the most formidable life-saving Divine Skills.

As long as the ten thousand trees remained, the Green Bull Demon King was an immortal existence.

Even though Yu Yuan’s Blood Sea Candle Flame had soul-devouring abilities, it couldn’t take down the Green Bull Demon King in a short time.

Yu Yuan narrowed his eyes, his blood-red pupils glimmering with brilliant light, scanning the forest below with a gaze as tangible as substance.

In the vast expanse of forest, there were untold numbers of towering trees, countless twining vines, and an innumerable amount of small grasses.

To destroy all the flora here, even he found it daunting.

Meanwhile, on the Dragon Bone Flying Boat, An Wusheng was frowning as he looked at the forest below; they seemed to have picked a troublesome opponent.

The difficulty wasn’t in the Green Bull Demon King’s strength, but rather the bothersome nature of his bloodline Divine Skills.

Outside, Yu Yuan and the Green Bull Demon King continued to exhaust each other, the leaves and wooden stakes continually crashed against Yu Yuan’s flame barrier like an unending river, resulting in an extremely awkward stalemate.

The Green Bull Demon King couldn’t threaten Yu Yuan, while Yu Yuan didn’t know how to flush out the Green Bull Demon King.

An Wusheng frowned in contemplation for a while, then his pallid face turned somewhat unsettling.

He floated out of the flying boat, drew a bone sword, and swung it fiercely at the massive bull.

Rumble~~

The hazy Sword Qi, a hundred feet long, cleaved the massive bull’s body into two, with countless trees, vines, and flora falling onto the mountain top, elevating the originally unimposing peak by more than ten feet.

Yu Yuan was stunned, looking at the scattered flora, his face somewhat perplexed.

But then his expression shifted from one shade to another, becoming incredibly unsightly.

”This!”

”You were fooled. He ran away a long time ago!” An Wusheng said coldly.

When did the Green Bull Demon King run away?

Actually, the moment the massive bull appeared, he had already slipped into the Void.

He used the massive bull to attract An Wusheng and Yu Yuan’s attention, while he quietly slipped into the Void and escaped.

The massive bull he left behind was merely a construct of Divine Skills, containing a wisp of his residual soul, which served as a clone.

It was quite similar to Yang Zhenshan’s soul crow; however, Yang Zhenshan’s soul crow was just a Divine Soul clone, whereas the giant bull body also had a corporeal form made of flora.

The Green Bull Demon King was not only not stupid but incredibly cunning.

From the outset, he knew he wasn’t Yu Yuan’s match, and although he mentioned he could coexist with the ten thousand trees, such a method could only buy time, not repel the enemy before him.

So he decided to flee at the first moment, and as for his offspring, he could only apologize.

It wasn’t that the ancestor lacked righteousness, but rather that the ancestor had no choice.

He couldn’t win, really couldn’t win.

The Green Bull Demon King had fled, leaving An Wusheng and Yu Yuan seething with anger.

A rough start!

They had just begun, and already they got played.

”These Demon Kings truly are treacherous!” muttered Yu Yuan in frustration.

An Wusheng’s face was somewhat gloomy, yet he didn’t blame Yu Yuan. After all, he was watching from the side and hadn’t noticed when the Green Bull had escaped either.

Of course, he felt uncomfortable inside, but now wasn’t the time to dwell on it.

”Alright, the Green Bull has run, but there’s still the White Sheep! After dealing with the White Sheep, we need to go after the Sand Nightmare Beast. Let’s go!”

In the Wanhua Mountain Range, there was no shortage of demon beasts and demon kings.

Letting one Green Bull Demon King escape didn’t matter much, as they still had plenty of choices.
