Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1716: Chapter 1047: The Great Battle of Yunye Manor (Part 2)

A horde of wild beasts, both ferocious and massive, charged forth, including tigers and leopards, bears and boars, jackals, and more. Thousands of giant beasts galloped, causing the ground to quake.

The crucial point is that numerous demon beasts and Mutant Beasts also rushed forward, eager to take advantage of the chaos. The beast swarm grew larger, making the battle at Yunye Manor increasingly brutal.

The outer Array of the manor had already been breached, a large number of immortal cultivators were entangled in combat with demon beasts and Mutant Beasts.

Inside the manor, Luo Fengxia stood in the air with a sullen expression, watching the fierce battle outside the array.

Yunye Manor is divided into two parts. One part is a manor, originally the headquarters of the Cloud Wild Alliance, now the residence of the Luo family. The other part is the surrounding structures such as the immortal cultivator settlement, workshop, spirit field, medicinal garden, orchard, and more.

Currently, the array surrounding the manor had been breached, leaving only the Protective Array inside the manor to hold. But facing the attacks of thousands of demon beasts and Mutant Beasts, the array inside the manor likely won’t last much longer.

”Family Head, the elder from the Wind Forest Clan said the array can hold for just a quarter of an hour more. Please make a decision quickly!” A member of the Luo family flew over, reporting in a trembling voice.

Luo Fengxia’s face was so dark it appeared to be dripping water.

Since the establishment of the Sky Cloud Sword Sect, Luo Cheng had joined the sect, leaving the position of Family Head to Luo Fengxia.

Later, the White Cloud True Monarch granted Yunye Manor to the Luo family, prompting the relocation of the family’s holdings.

Now, most of the Luo family members are in this manor. If the manor is breached, the consequences would be unimaginable for the Luo family.

”What about reinforcements? Has the Sect sent any messages?” Luo Fengxia asked in a low voice.

”No, the last message was an hour ago, saying that reinforcements from the Sect are already on their way!”

Luo Fengxia squinted slightly. An hour – traveling three hundred miles from White Cloud Immortal City to Yunye Manor shouldn’t take an hour with a Foundation Establishment Cultivator flying at full speed.

Of course, in such situations, Foundation Establishment Cultivators likely wouldn’t fly at full speed; they’re probably coming by Flying Boat.

The Flying Boat is slower, but an hour is sufficient for it to arrive.

Yet the reinforcements have not yet arrived!

Luo Fengxia gazed toward White Cloud Immortal City. The towering White Cloud Mountain, even from three hundred miles away, was vividly visible in his eyes, yet there was no sight of reinforcements.

To fight or to flee?

Luo Fengxia was still unable to make a decision.

Flee!

The Luo family might save some members but will lose Yunye Manor.

Fight!

The family’s members here might face annihilation, or they might hold out until reinforcements arrive, preserving some members and the manor.

Yunye Manor is unlike the Small Cloud Peak. The Small Cloud Peak is an Elder Peak of the Sect, with Wen Yu tasked with guarding it for the Sect, while Yunye Manor is merely the Luo family’s holding. Being a vassal, the Sect wouldn’t punish the Luo family for abandoning their holdings.

Thus, Luo Fengxia need only consider what benefits the family most without worrying about the Sect’s penalties.

Roar~~

A deep roar sounded, as if the earth had been struck, causing it to tremble violently.

Luo Fengxia looked toward the direction the roar came from, his eyes gloomily fixed.

”Earth-shaking Tiger!”

It was a Second-Order demon beast, an Earth-shaking Tiger. Although only a foot tall, its roar fractured hundreds of feet of ground around it, reducing buildings in the workshop to ruins.

The Earth-shaking Tiger and Golden-winged Eagle were two Demon Clans most hated by White Cloud Immortal City. These two Demon Clans attacked the city then, causing countless casualties.

Though this Earth-shaking Tiger might not belong to the same tribe as the one from before, it didn’t lessen Luo Fengxia’s hatred.

”Command: out from the array to battle, fight till the end, no retreat!”

Luo Fengxia gritted his teeth, shouting coldly.

Flee!

Perhaps they could save some of the family members but would lose the chance for the Luo family to rise. Only by fighting to the death could the Luo family wait for the Sect’s reinforcements and garner its favor.

Although the Luo family had no obligation to guard Yunye Manor, the Sect would surely hope the Luo family could hold it since there were numerous Immortal Cultivation Families and the Sect’s ventures behind Yunye Manor.

After giving the order, Luo Fengxia directly flew out from the Protection Array, engaging in fierce battle with the demon beasts.

Suddenly, the battlefield was filled with countless brilliant illusions, amidst the ruins appeared pavilion stages, flower petals fell like blades, and the roaring rivers manifested as breaking floods.

The black jade long ruler flipped, extending wave after wave resembling sword light, leaving bloody wounds on several Mutant Beasts.

In the next instant, Luo Fengxia directed the black jade long ruler to strike the Earth-shaking Tiger’s head. With a bang, the tiger’s body staggered, taking a step back, seemingly dazed, but immediately retaliated.

Yet Luo Fengxia couldn’t finish off the Earth-shaking Tiger entirely, as a hawk swooped down from the sky toward him.

Luo Fengxia had to retract the black jade long ruler, defending against the hawk’s attack.

The battle was too intense, with thousands of demon beasts and Mutant Beasts attacking, while countless immortal cultivators in the settlement were embroiled in chaos with these beasts.

Everywhere was chaotic battle, everywhere was a bloody massacre.

In a confrontation of such scale, a single Foundation Establishment Cultivator couldn’t sway the battle, nor could the entire Luo family’s forces change the tide; they could only kill as much as possible, delaying the time.

Moments later, Luo Fengxia was deeply caught in the melee, unable to pay attention to anything else.

Just then, a cloud-white Flying Boat glided across the sky, its shadow reaching Yunye Manor at high speed, casting a shadow over the ground.

It resembled a white cloud, pure and flawless, hovering in the air.

A figure suddenly emerged from the cloud, surveying the battlefield below.

”Thunder Sword, Green Thunder Sword Light.”

Instantly, dozens of sword beams wrapped in Wood Thunder Sword Light shot toward the hawks flying in the air.

The thunderous sound exploded, and the hawks fell one after another like cut kites.

”Talisman array, Vermilion Bird Separation Fire!”

Dozens of crimson Jade Talismans flew out, nine fire columns shot into the sky, coalescing into a Vermilion Bird phantom. Its sweeping tail feathers stirred distortions in the void.

The fearsome and fiery Vermilion Bird phantom swooped down, consuming numerous Mutant Beasts into fiery infernos.

”Attack!”

With an angry shout, countless figures burst forth from the clouds, joining the battle.

”Hahaha, the Sect’s reinforcements are here! Attack!”

Below, the Luo family’s cultivators saw this, and laughed joyfully.

The other cultivators were equally delighted, their previous panic now calming.

Yang Jizhen hovered in the air, his Lifebound Magical Treasure, the Wood Thunder Sword, stood before him, mana surging as beams of azure lightning transformed into sword light and rained down.

Meanwhile, Cui Yang was surrounded by dozens of Jade Talismans, numerous fire columns erupted around him, morphing into Vermilion Bird phantoms rampaging through the battlefield.
