Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 465: Chapter 434 The Emperor Died, the Whole World Mourned

”Absolutely, extremely capable!” Wang Zhenze immediately stood up, his face filled with excitement.

”Marquis, isn’t this price too cheap!” Zhang Qingsong asked.

The others also showed puzzled expressions.

They too thought this was glaze.

Yang Zhenshan smiled and said, ”Rare things are valuable, but with items like this, I can provide you with a thousand pieces this month, and next month, I can give you three thousand pieces, and by September, I can give you ten thousand pieces!”

”And next year, there might be a hundred thousand pieces a month!”

”Do you still think it’s expensive?”

Everyone’s mouths dropped open, their faces filled with disbelief as they looked at Yang Zhenshan.

After a long while, Zhen Yang finally said, ”Marquis, this is not glaze!”

”Of course not, didn’t I just say, this is glass!” Yang Zhenshan said with a smile.

He wasn’t exaggerating at all; the production of the glass workshop was definitely going to increase, and his target was to reach a monthly production of a hundred thousand pieces next year.

However, by then there might be some items like tea sets and wine utensils.

This is still just the production from his side; once the Crown Prince’s glass workshop is built, that production could be several times his.

Don’t think that the Crown Prince’s glass workshop hasn’t started construction yet, but the manpower and resources the Crown Prince can mobilize are far beyond what Yang Zhenshan can compare to.

For instance, taking craftsmen into account, the Crown Prince doesn’t have craftsmen skilled in glass making, but he has a lot of blacksmiths, carpenters, gold and silver smiths, porcelain-fired craftsmen, jade carving craftsmen, and so on.

And don’t forget, the Crown Prince still has a glaze workshop; craftsmen who make glaze, once they have the method to make glass, just need to experiment a bit, and it can definitely be used to make glass.

And once the Crown Prince’s glass workshop starts large-scale production, that production may be several times, even tens of times that of Yang Zhenshan.

The group glanced at each other; Yang Zhenshan gave them a moment to react, then sat back in the main seat and gently sipped his tea.

”Does the Marquis want us to sell these?” Lin Qi said.

Yang Zhanshan put down his tea bowl and nodded, ”Exactly!”

He then pulled the screen from behind, on which hung a simplified map of Da Rong, only showing the provinces and the boundaries of the nine border towns.

”The Marquis intends to let you all act as the sales agents for glass products. Da Rong has one Capital City, thirteen provinces, and the nine border towns.”

”There are five families, plus the Luo family, a total of six.”

”Each family can be the general agent for two provinces and one border town!”

”Capital City has many nobles, and the market is the biggest, but it already has an owner, so you all shouldn’t head to the Capital City.”

”Jiangnan is rich and prosperous, one family one province, and leave the remaining province to the Luo family.”

”The provinces vary in wealth, which is exactly why the remaining three border towns can be used as compensations!”

Yang Zhenshan pointed to markers already placed on the map, and said, ”The Marquis has already assigned them, do you think it’s suitable?”

The Capital City is definitely the Crown Prince’s, Yang Zhenshan isn’t crazy, he wouldn’t compete with the Crown Prince.

As for other areas, it doesn’t matter.

And the Luo family, although Yang Zhenshan had mentioned before that the Luo family should not expand further, he couldn’t leave out their share.

Besides, isn’t there the Zhang family from Liao’an?

As long as the Zhang family from Liao’an is there, the Luo family would not be the richest in Liaodong.

His distribution is quite reasonable, taking into account the differences in wealth, distance, force distribution among the various provinces, so as to make the areas assigned to the six families roughly equal.

”You are the general agents, but doing business in various places isn’t easy, so the Marquis suggests you find some secondary agents in different areas.”

”Although this approach requires you to give up a portion of the profits, having the support of local forces can spare you a lot of trouble!”

”As for the selling price, the Marquis suggests making a thin profit from high sales, the selling price of all glass products must not be more than twice the factory price!”

Thin profit from high sales is just a joke; a profit margin of nearly twice is naturally not thin.

As for why he sets the maximum price rather than the minimum.

It’s in preparation for future price reductions.

Maybe now, a glass product can be sold for up to ten thousand silver.

But if such a glass product is cheaper next year, wouldn’t the person who bought the glass product feel like they were ripped off, wouldn’t they hold a grudge against Yang Zhenshan, Chongshan Town, and the six agencies?

Cheating a few people, Yang Zhenshan isn’t afraid.

But if it’s hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of people, and these people are either rich businessmen or official nobles, could Yang Zhenshan still not be afraid?

Yang Zhenshan doesn’t think he can withstand the hatred of thousands of officials, nobles, and rich businessmen. If he really incurs public outrage, how would the Yang family die without knowing.

So, in order to avoid offending too many people, he wasn’t planning on cheating people.

Yang Zhenshan set the maximum price of the glass products at around seven to eight hundred silver. Although this price is also not cheap, glass products sold at this price are also flawless fine products, even if the price is reduced later, this price won’t be too low.

And even if Yang Zhenshan wants to reduce prices, it would be gradual, taking three to five years, giving those merchants who have been shortchanged some time to accept it, so as not to make people angry.

After listening to Yang Zhenshan’s presentation and looking at their assigned areas on the map, Wang Zhenze and the others had stars in their eyes.

”Marquis, this~~”

Wang Zhenze’s hands trembled with excitement, and the others were in a similar state, even Zhang Qingsong was moved.

This is a truly big deal, containing potential wealth reaching tens of millions of silver.
