Bizarre Voyage: Summoning The Fourth Crisis

”Hiss...”

Li Miao grimaced, clutching his waist as he stood up. A pungent, rotten stench assaulted his nostrils. Some unknown liquid seeped into the gaps of his armor, making his feet feel extremely uncomfortable.

This well was very deep; the fall had left him with just a sliver of health.

It was pitch-black all around, and he was standing in a shallow puddle.

After using a Recovery Wax Block to restore his Blood Volume, Li Miao finally felt a bit better.

’How did four Molten Slag Ash Tier monsters suddenly appear, and why did they all attack me in unison?’

’Was this a scripted death, forcing me to enter the Bottom of the Well?’

’Or is it because that guy Le Ti isn’t dead yet, and this is all his scheme?’

These thoughts flashed through Li Miao’s mind as he ate a Wax Block to restore his health.

DRIP, DRIP.

But before he could eat a second Recovery Wax Block or think any further, a sudden attack came from the darkness of the Bottom of the Well, like a pair of legs smashing violently into his face.

Startled, Li Miao staggered back, then quickly rolled away, kicking up a splash of the unknown liquid. At the same time, he activated his illuminating Candlefire.

”GURGLE...”

Accompanied by a sticky, nauseating sound, Li Miao finally got a clear look at the culprit that had attacked him.

[Fecal Corpse Adhesive]

[Tier: Molten Slag]

[Level: 26]

[Warfire: Foul-Smelling Fireworks (Can be ignited via Fire Ignition)]

[Talent: Foul-Smelling Fireworks (A flame born from filth and stench. Each attack has a chance to leave the enemy Poisoned, and it can channel all its accumulated power into a single attack.)]

[Skills: Corpse Cling and Beat, Foul-smelling Feces Qi, Explosive Flame, Corpse Water Splash]

[Explanation: Rotten corpses, foul-smelling fecal water, and a bit of catalytic power gave birth to this abomination at the Bottom of the Well.]

Mutilated corpses were stuck together with clumps of feces, forming a massive monstrosity. The bonded bodies acted as its arms, brandishing them menacingly.

With each movement, the corpses on its body would squeeze the liquid feces, causing bubbles to emerge and a foul mixture of corpse water and fecal fluid to ooze out...

’Can be ignited via Fire Ignition?’

’Who the fuck would be crazy enough to ignite this fire?’

This utterly nauseating and disgusting scene prompted the thought in Li Miao’s mind. He then took out a Recovery Wax Block and, forcing down his disgust, ate it.

WHOOSH!

Just as Li Miao was catching his breath, a ”tentacle” made of corpses slammed down on him again.

Without hesitation, Li Miao raised his Law Knight’s Shield, timing his Block perfectly.

CLANG—

A dull clang echoed as the Fecal Corpse Adhesive’s massive body shuddered from the impact, foul liquid gushing from the gaps in its form.

Li Miao seized the opportunity, raising his Lance and landing a direct hit with Frost Piercing.

With a squelch, shattered chunks of corpse flew everywhere. A conspicuous hole appeared in the Fecal Corpse Adhesive’s abdomen, and its health bar dropped significantly.

Li Miao pressed his advantage, unleashing a flurry of fierce stabs.

”GURGLE GURGLE...”

A series of rapid, sticky sounds erupted as the Fecal Corpse Adhesive seemed to grow frantic.

It quickly recovered and its body began to make popping sounds. One after another, tentacles made of corpses and feces swung wildly at Li Miao.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The foul liquid at the Bottom of the Well was sent splashing everywhere by its thrashing.

But Li Miao had already retreated to a safe distance, moving slowly as he watched its movements.

SPLAT...

It seemed he had stepped on something sticky again.

But Li Miao was already used to it. He didn’t let it distract him, his eyes still fixed on the Fecal Corpse Adhesive before him.

He couldn’t see any other way out.

It seemed that only by defeating this disgusting creature would he find a way to leave or proceed to the next area.

A short while later, the Fecal Corpse Adhesive’s frantic thrashing stopped.

But Li Miao frowned and didn’t move forward.

A blazing Warfire had suddenly ignited on its body, which also began to tremble violently.

SQUISH! SQUISH!

The next moment, Li Miao saw with perfect clarity that the seams where the corpses were joined began to contract violently, spraying streams of yellowish-green liquid from the orifices in every direction!

And that wasn’t all!

The Fecal Corpse Adhesive seemed to activate another Skill at the same time, as a Flame ignited around its body.

The instant this yellowish-green corpse-feces water touched the Flame, it exploded violently!

Li Miao’s pupils contracted. He swiftly raised the Law Knight’s Shield in front of him, channeling all his Power to defend.

The next second.

BOOM!!!

An incredibly fierce, searing blast erupted from the mouth of the well, shooting more than ten meters into the air. The entire area around the wellhead shook and then promptly collapsed, leaving a massive crater.

But soon, the massive crater began to slowly repair itself.

And Li Miao’s Wandering Soul slowly rose from the Bottom of the Well.

”What kind of Skill is that powerful?” Li Miao stared at the wellhead in disbelief.

His reaction had been incredibly fast. Not only had he raised his Law Knight’s Shield to block, but he had also burned Warfire to weaken the Attack.

Furthermore, he was a Knight who specialized in high Blood Volume and durability, and he was even wearing Law Knight Heavy Armor...

But even with all that, he was still one-shotted.

’The damage is just too ridiculous!’

In the end, he could only glumly attribute it to the enclosed terrain at the Bottom of the Well.

The situation had been completely unavoidable.

”Damn it all to hell!”

Cursing inwardly, Li Miao rushed to the previous Milestone Spirit Candle to resurrect. He grabbed a random Weapon and prepared to head back to the Bottom of the Well.

Arriving at the wellhead again, Li Miao suddenly stopped and hid to the side.

He had spotted the Giant Arm Cleaner from before; it had reappeared, holding several corpses in its hands.

After reaching the wellhead, the Giant Arm Cleaner roughly stuffed the corpses into the well, along with some huge clumps of feces it was also carrying.

After a series of faint thuds echoed from below, the Giant Arm Cleaner slowly departed.

The sight sent a chill down Li Miao’s spine.

Once the Giant Arm Cleaner was gone, Li Miao walked up again and leaped, plunging toward the Bottom of the Well once more.

THUD.

Maybe because he wasn’t wearing his Heavy Armor, Li Miao didn’t take much damage from the fall this time.

After a quick Roll, Li Miao quickly ate a Recovery Wax Block, activated his illuminating Candlefire, and looked around warily, Weapon in hand.

But soon, he froze.

The monster named ”Fecal Corpse Adhesive” was gone, leaving only a floor of shattered corpse fragments and piles of feces.

”Where’s the monster?” Li Miao wondered, puzzled, after carefully retrieving his equipment from the Wax Ash.

’Don’t tell me the Fecal Corpse Adhesive also died in that explosion? Did it use a self-destruct skill?’

’No, that can’t be right. Even if it self-destructed, its loot should still be here...’

’Strange...’

Li Miao’s brow furrowed. After re-equipping his Frost Riding Spear, his attention fell on the guidance from the Spirit Candle.

The Spirit Candle was pointing toward a pile of amalgamated corpses and feces against the far wall.

It seemed there was another path behind the filth.

After a moment of thought, Li Miao didn’t advance immediately. Instead, he forced down his nausea and began to search the Bottom of the Well carefully.

’Damn it, this shitty game always has to be extra realistic in the most bizarre ways...’

’Oh, my dear mother...’

With a look of disgust, Li Miao pushed aside corpse after corpse and clump after clump of feces, searching by the light of his Candlefire.

The yellowish-green liquid mixture and the foul stench seemed to bypass his game-desensitized senses and pierce straight to his very Soul...

However, after pushing aside one stinking corpse, Li Miao actually made a ”discovery.”

[Acquired: Feces Clump x3]

[Feces Clump]

[Type: Consumable]

[Effect: A thrown object with a pungent odor. A successful hit will greatly attract the target’s aggro.]

[Explanation: A foul-smelling clump of feces mixed with bits of corpse. Has a certain damaging effect on one’s Spirit.]

”Fuck you...”

Seeing the clump of feces, still dripping and writhing with maggots, in his hand, Li Miao couldn’t help but curse.

But just as he was about to throw it away, he paused. Forcing down his disgust, he put it in his inventory.

’It’s disgusting, but at least it’s a useful item. I’ll keep it for now...’

’I definitely can’t use this inventory slot to store fish ever again...’

Li Miao silently made a mental note of this inventory slot’s location.

Then, he continued to search.

Perhaps his tireless efforts moved the heavens, or perhaps even the god of fate couldn’t bear to watch any longer.

Finally, he made a new discovery.

[Acquired: Pain of the Penitent]

[Acquired: Feces Clump x3]

...Looking at the items in his hands, Li Miao’s face twisted into a grimace. He was at a loss for words.

[Butt of Filth Eating]

[Type: Special Items]

[Effect: Consumes filth, then excretes it. A never-ending cycle.]

[Explanation: With magical power, his mouth and anus were sewn together, creating the bizarre phenomenon of self-production and consumption. Perhaps to satisfy some twisted taste, or as revenge?]

That’s right. Simply put, the only function of this peculiar item Li Miao had found in the pile of feces and corpses was this self-sustaining cycle, which served only to inflict a certain degree of mental trauma on whoever found it.

It had no other use...

[Pain of the Penitent]

[Type: Special Items]

[Effect: The Soul is imprisoned within to witness the agony, unable to die. It is also never-ending.]

[Explanation: Perhaps there is some connection between it and another item... Taste?]

This was also a lump of flesh.

A lump of flesh shaped like a human head, but its mouth was gone. Its face was contorted in endless agony, yet it could not speak.

Li Miao had found it on the wall of the Bottom of the Well.

”What the hell is all this stuff!”

Li Miao felt as if his eyes had been washed with dragon’s breath pepper spray and his spirit had been thrown into a septic tank for a power-washing. He felt utterly defiled.

He originally thought some good items might be hidden in these places, but he never expected this kind of ”good item”...

”Dogshit devs, I’ll fucking **** you!”
