Bizarre Voyage: Summoning The Fourth Crisis

Back in the Battlefield Relics.

In the initial battle, even the powerful three-person team was narrowly defeated by the two Giant Beasts after a fierce fight.

During that time, the three of them went to their group chat to explain the basics of the Battlefield Relics. They then browsed the forums for a while before returning to the Battlefield Relics.

This time, they didn’t go onto the altar. Instead, they took advantage of the two Giant Beasts fighting each other, ganging up on them to defeat them one by one.

The two Giant Beasts seemed to have forgotten that the trio had been on the altar before. When one was being ganged up on by the three, the other would just join the pursuit, making a bad situation even worse for its counterpart...

So, after first ganging up on the stronger Blood of Fearlessness, the trio turned their attention to the Commander of Hundred Races.

The two Giant Beasts were defeated one by one.

The Commander of Hundred Races was indeed weaker than the Blood of Fearlessness; it didn’t even drop a special Fire Seed that could be used for Fire Ignition. However, it wasn’t stingy with equipment and Skill Books.

Besides the equipment, the most eye-catching drops were two items with text descriptions.

[Echoes of the Horn of Command]

[Type: Special Items]

[Content: ...I hereby command the Polar Hundred Races: guard the altar, and do not, under any circumstances, allow the Divine Statue Tribe to take it...]

[Explanation: The lingering summons from the Commander of Hundred Races, which was also the cause of the great war.]

[Divine Statue Totem Decree]

[Type: Special Items]

[Content: ...As our tribe faces annihilation, we must seize the polar altar and offer sacrifices for grace so that our people may endure. Show no mercy...]

[Explanation: Perhaps this is not a simple matter of right and wrong.]

”Looks like this altar originally belonged to the Polar Hundred Races,” Li Miao said thoughtfully after reading.

The information in the texts was clear: the altar belonged to the Polar Hundred Races, and the Divine Statue Tribe had to seize it to ensure their own survival.

’So, what kind of miraculous effect does this altar have that it can decide the very continuation of a people?’

After picking up all the loot, the trio quickly made their way onto the altar. This time, no Giant Beasts stood in their way.

A few simple stone pillars stood at the altar’s edge. In the center was a pitch-black fire pit, and in front of it sat a chest and various ritual offerings placed on stones—fruits, bones, and the like. It all looked very primitive and ancient.

When they reached the Treasure Chest, they found it was unlocked and could be opened directly.

Furthermore, some of the ritual offerings could also be taken directly.

The haul was impressive. There were Weapons, armor, and Skill Books—everything one could ask for. There was even a special plant seed that looked like it could be planted in the Demon-Harboring Cottage.

It was worth noting that the [Frozen Strike] was a Molten Slag Ash Tier Skill Book. Although its Effect was similar to Gulard Combat Skills, it came with a built-in freezing effect and had a higher potential, making it extremely valuable for Warriors and Knights.

However, this was a three-person instance. The Treasure Chests and the boss, Blood of Fearlessness, would not respawn. There was only one copy of Frozen Strike, so if they wanted another, they would have to reset the instance...

Next, Li Miao and Faraway went after the [Frost Crocodile Man] they had been eyeing for a while.

With their combined strength, killing it was a simple matter.

And the Frost Crocodile Man’s drops did not disappoint.

[Acquired: Frost Fang]

[Frost Fang]

[Type: Frost Attribute Item]

[Effect: Can grant a Weapon Frost Traits]

[Explanation: The sharpest tooth of the Frost Crocodile Man, in which the essence of its physical Power is concentrated. It carries a hint of frost properties.]

After the Frost Crocodile Man died, it also showed no signs of Resurrection.

With this, they could finally consider forging the [Frost Riding Spear].

Afterward, the trio explored a bit more, searching carefully for a long time. Once they confirmed the entire Battlefield Relics had no other hidden areas, they finally left.

Their trip to the Battlefield Relics had been extremely fruitful.

More importantly, they had officially opened up a new treasure trove for the player base. If other players could get in, their overall strength would undoubtedly take a huge leap forward.

...

”If you really can’t remember, then don’t worry about it.”

Luo Ge said, looking at Noxia as she struggled to remember.

After reading the analysis on the forums, he had told Noxia everything, hoping it would jog some of her memories.

But it seemed Noxia couldn’t recall many important memories related to it.

Still, Luo Ge’s efforts weren’t entirely fruitless.

Noxia did have some memories related to things like the Dagger and the Witch, including one very important name: the Fire Element Granny.

This ”Fire Element Granny” was apparently the leader of the Witches.

Beyond that, Noxia couldn’t remember anything else.

”I’m sorry, Mr. Luo Ge,” Noxia said, looking dejected.

Luo Ge shook his head.

’Fire Element Divine Hall... Fire Element Granny...’

’What’s the connection between the two?’

...

A brightly burning Campfire provided some light. Farther out, there was only darkness, though one could faintly make out withered, twisted tree roots that formed a solid wall.

Klemo sat cross-legged to one side. Before him, an illusory Witch’s Soul hovered over a peculiar Dagger.
