Bizarre Voyage: Summoning The Fourth Crisis

The three on the outskirts of the battlefield raised their hands, shielding themselves from the sweeping aftershock.

The collision between the two Giant Beasts shocked them. Without a doubt, these were the leading bosses of the Divine Statue Tribe and the Polar Hundred Races.

Their battle continued.

But Li Miao caught sight of something on the altar behind them, his eyes lighting up. ”Faraway, Brother Yu, look at the altar! There’s a Treasure Chest!”

Brother Yu and Faraway heard him and saw the chest on the altar as well.

The chest looked ancient. It sat in the very center of the altar, alongside some strangely shaped bones and grains, apparently for some kind of ritual.

Li Miao thought for a moment, then came up with a great idea. ”Why don’t we sneak around them and go take a look at the altar?”

After a moment’s thought, Faraway gave a slight nod. Brother Yu had no objections either.

The two Giant Beasts before them were incredibly powerful. Even if they chose to fight, it wouldn’t be over anytime soon.

Having made up their minds, the three quickly skirted the battlefield. After killing a few monsters blocking their way, they reached the edge of the altar from the opposite side.

”This altar’s pretty high.” Li Miao looked up, then leaped, just managing to grab the edge of the altar and pull himself up.

Brother Yu was right behind him.

Faraway, however, sensed something was wrong and paused.

”Faraway, come on up! What are you doing?” Li Miao urged, turning his head.

However, his only answer was two furious roars.

”ROAR—” ”ROAR—”

The two Giant Beasts, which had been locked in a life-or-death struggle, suddenly noticed the intruders on the altar. They simultaneously changed targets and charged toward them.

The steel mane on the Commander of Hundred Races’s neck began to burn a fiery red. A moment later, the bristles detached and flew toward them like a shower of Arrows!

At the same time, the Blood of Fearlessness’s blood began to boil. Its body was wreathed in a red mist as it roared and swung an arm, sending a blood-red blade of energy toward Li Miao and Brother Yu on the altar.

”Holy shit!”

Seeing this, Li Miao’s heart sank.

’This is bad. We weren’t supposed to get involved in the fight; we were just trying to backdoor them! But now our little stunt has forced us to fight both of them at once!’

THUD THUD THUD!

Brother Yu and Li Miao quickly jumped off the altar, raising their Shields to block the flying bristles.

They had hoped this would make the two Giant Beasts turn their attention back to each other, but to their dismay, the creatures seemed to have locked onto them, charging forward and making the very ground tremble.

”Guess we have no choice but to fight now,” Brother Yu said with a sigh, watching the two Giant Beasts charge them.

”Use the Magic Potions,” Faraway said calmly, taking one out and downing it in a single gulp.

Brother Yu and Li Miao did the same.

In an instant, the Power of the Magic Potions surged through their bodies. The strongest trio of players was about to face the two most powerful Giant Beast bosses of this unknown, ruined star!

...

”Heh heh, time to put my cheese strategy to the test.”

Niuniu chuckled as he used Teleportation to enter his newly reset instance. He was just about to head for the final underground area to test his theory.

But something puzzled him. He could hear the faint sounds of a fight up ahead.

’Huh? Isn’t that Mushroom kid still in the Demon-Harboring Cottage researching his Magic Potions?’

Baffled, Niuniu scratched his head. He was about to listen more closely when all the surrounding sounds suddenly vanished.

Before he could even react, he lost control of his body as well.

What followed was a sudden bout of lag and a flickering screen.

The next moment, his vision went black, and he was forced back to the login screen.

[System Error. A fix is in progress. Please wait patiently...]

”Huh?”

”Did it bug out?”

Niuniu was dumbfounded. This was the first time he’d ever run into a situation like this.

...

After Niuniu’s body vanished, another Candle Spirit Body emerged from the Spirit Candle, solidifying into the form of Luo Ge.

Of course, the unlucky Niuniu hadn’t encountered a bug. Luo Ge had just used an excuse to forcibly kick him and take over his account.

He had done so for a reason, of course—he had discovered something, having received feedback from the Spirit Candle.

Another reason was that he simply didn’t trust that kid, Niuniu.

With any other player, he might not have done this; he could have just issued a quest.

But that kid Niuniu... Luo Ge couldn’t be sure what kind of ridiculous stunt he might pull.

So, just to be safe, he had come himself.

Of course, he wasn’t using his main body—the rejection was too strong. This was the Candle Spirit Body he had condensed during his visit to the Qi Xin Chapel. Its Power was nothing special, but the rejection it faced was far weaker, making it a perfectly suitable avatar.

After a few simple stretches, he slowly headed down the stairs.

The farther down he went, the louder the sounds of battle grew.

Without a doubt, that twisted pair had already engaged someone else in combat.

’And this was an instance where Niuniu and Mushroom had been. There shouldn’t be any other players here besides them, which leaves only one possibility...’

Luo Ge pushed aside the blood-red vines blocking his view and saw the two sides fighting before a bed.

One side was, without a doubt, the Mad Fallen Lord and the Lady of Tyranny.

The other was a slight-framed Knight in worn-out armor.

He wielded a Heavy Sword with masterful skill, but his raw power seemed to be lacking. He could only struggle to cope with the combined Attacks of the Mad Fallen Lord and the Lady of Tyranny, Rolling and using Dodge in the Blood Pool, looking quite battered.
