Bizarre Voyage: Summoning The Fourth Crisis

’This should be enough,’ Faraway thought.

Soon after, he brandished his dagger and charged the towering Fishman Leader.

The Beach Fishman Leader was quickly enraged by his assault, roaring in a frenzy as it thrashed and smashed wildly at him.

Faraway, however, remained perfectly calm, effortlessly dodging the Fishman Leader’s attacks every time.

”ROAR!”

The Fishman Leader lunged with its Bone Fork, but once again, it hit nothing but air.

Having dodged into its blind spot, Faraway attacked again, wounding it.

With his Agility Attribute at 10, Faraway could now fully react to the Fishman Leader’s attacks and dodge them.

He had tested it before and discovered the Fishman Leader had a serious weakness—terrible eyesight!

Now, he was exploiting this weakness to its absolute limit.

After each strike, he would slip into the Fishman Leader’s blind spot to set up his next attack.

The Fishman Leader was helpless against this tactic, completely led around by Faraway.

”ROAR!”

The Fishman Leader roared in fury, pounding the sand around it and kicking up clouds of dust, but it couldn’t land a single hit on the slippery Faraway.

Although Faraway’s Power was low and his Dagger’s Attack Power was weak, after more than two minutes of chipping away at its health, the battle-scarred Fishman Leader’s Blood Volume was finally hitting bottom.

SCHLICK!

With Faraway’s final strike, the life and madness in the Fishman Leader’s eyes faded away completely.

THUD!

The Fishman Leader collapsed, dissolving into Ashes that slowly faded away.

Faraway picked up the Fishman Bone Fork, gave it a thoughtful glance, and equipped it.

Then, he went back to slaughtering Fish People.

...

”This kid...”

Luo Ge, who was in the middle of killing monsters to farm Wax Oil, was surprised to see his reserves increasing so rapidly.

Faraway’s kill rate was already almost half of his own.

’At this rate, it shouldn’t be long before we can Anchor the Island...’

’I’ll summon three more players, and then we’ll save up the Wax Oil to Anchor the Island...’

Luo Ge thought to himself.

...

「Two days passed in the blink of an eye.」

Li Miao yawned, put on his helmet, and launched *Spirit Candle* again.

The darkness gave way to light. As his vision cleared, he found himself in the familiar Reef Cave.

”Yo, Brother Miao’s here?”

A booming voice came from nearby.

It was a player with an exaggeratedly brawny physique. His firm pecs were enough to make most girls self-conscious. His ID was ”Battle Bliss.”

He was the fourth player on the island and possessed an immense will to fight and boundless enthusiasm.

It’s just... he wasn’t much of a thinker.

Excluding Faraway, who had done it on purpose, he was the second player to receive a ”quit” suggestion from the Candlekeeper.

”Brother Mangzi, don’t tell me you’ve been online all day?”

Li Miao couldn’t help but ask.

He had seen Brother Mangzi regenerating health by the Spirit Candle when he logged off in the morning. Now, after a full night’s sleep, he was back, and Brother Mangzi was *still* there regenerating health...

”What are you talking about? Of course not. I definitely logged off to eat.”

Brother Mangzi replied.

To be honest, Li Miao suspected that eating was the *only* thing he did while logged off...

”Where’s Faraway?” Li Miao asked.

Faraway had become the undisputed number-one player in their group.

His feats, from soloing the Fishman Leader to killing a Poisonous Mist Bird with a single Long Spear, had completely won everyone over.

”Oh, he’s outside helping Sister Guagua farm for gear,” Brother Mangzi said, pointing outside the cave before going back to warming himself by the light.

Li Miao didn’t waste any time. He went straight out of the cave and headed for the area where the Fish People roamed.

On his way, however, he ran into ”Never Air Force Fisherman,” who was staring blankly out at the sea.

He was the third player to arrive after Faraway. With a decent Talent for gaming, he had already familiarized himself with the game’s controls and was a competent player.

Since he was the oldest among them in real life, everyone called him ”Brother Yu.”

”Brother Yu, what are you spacing out about?” Li Miao asked curiously.

Brother Yu turned to look at him and sighed softly. ”...I wonder when the Candlekeeper will be able to Anchor the Island and unlock the coastal waters and fishing rods.”

”It’s a real shame to have such a great fishing spot and not be able to fish...”

Hearing this, Li Miao finally noticed that Brother Yu was standing in what was indeed an excellent fishing spot on the deserted island.

”...”

Li Miao didn’t know why the other players played this game, but he certainly knew why Brother Yu did.

To fish.

When Brother Yu first joined the game, the very first question he asked the Candlekeeper was, ”Can you fish in this game?”

If the Candlekeeper hadn’t replied that he could fish after they Anchored the Island, Li Miao figured he would have quit the game long ago.

”Brother Yu, is fishing really that fun?”

Li Miao couldn’t help but ask.

Honestly, he really couldn’t understand the magic of a sport like fishing.

”...You wouldn’t understand.”

Brother Yu gave him a somber look, then turned back to gaze at the sea.

Seeing this, Li Miao could only scratch his head and leave him to it.

A short while later, he arrived at the fixed respawn point for the Fish People.

Now that they had fully explored the island, this place could also be called ”the area directly in front of the cave.”

To the right of the cave were the Beach Sand Worms, and directly behind it was the territory of the Poisonous Mist Birds.

As for the area to the southwest of the cave... that was, by far, the most dangerous area in the entire game.

A monster called the [Near-Sea Ghost] guarded it, and the players currently had no effective way of dealing with it.

”ROAR!”

He heard it before he saw it.

Li Miao moved closer and saw his familiar old friend, the Fishman Leader, being toyed with by Faraway.

BAM!

The Fishman Leader smashed down in a rage, but Faraway dodged it with ease.

This time, however, Faraway didn’t seize the opportunity to attack. Instead, he commanded a female player beside him, ”Now! Stab it.”

”Okay! I’m going for it!”

”Hah!”

After getting the go-ahead from Faraway, the female player with the ID ”My hamster’s name is Guagua” let out a sharp cry, her eyes gleaming as she lunged forward with her Long Spear.

After suffering this final, painful blow, the Fishman Leader let out a mournful wail and collapsed, its miserable life finally over.
